Marvel: The Imposter Inventor

Chapter 354 Infiltration

Chapter 354 Infiltration
The sky was clear and the snow had temporarily stopped.

In a secret S.H.I.E.L.D. base in the Arctic, the Helicarrier, once S.H.I.E.L.D.'s last trump card, is slowly landing in this almost unknown private dock.

The surrounding snowflakes were constantly blown up by the rotating giant propeller, exposing more of the structure of this secret base that was originally covered by snow.

Once the space carrier finally came to a stable stop and was secured by large metal parts, the snowflakes that had been blown into the air by the airflow began to fall slowly again.

Immediately afterwards, a ladder was lowered from the space carrier.

One by one, undisguised Skrulls filed out of the ship's hold, marching in an orderly fashion toward the base.

That's right, they're all Skrulls.

They have now completely taken control of S.H.I.E.L.D., and given their deep understanding of the agency, how could they possibly let go of such a powerful weapon as the Helicarrier?

Even as the existence of the Skrulls gradually came to the public's attention, many agents within S.H.I.E.L.D. began to have doubts.

They went even further and completely emptied the entire Helicopter from S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, replacing all their own personnel in every position.

This is why the Skrulls are now so unreserved in revealing their identities on the space carrier.

As for the lower-level S.H.I.E.L.D. agents on the outer perimeter...

Because S.H.I.E.L.D. has a system of agent secrecy levels, ordinary agents only need to follow orders from their superiors, and sometimes they don't even know the specific details of the missions they are to carry out.

As long as the Skrulls retain high-level access to S.H.I.E.L.D., these ordinary agents, who are practically puppets, will naturally have no doubts about who they belong to.

The S.H.I.E.L.D. currently controlled by the Skrulls, who are able to work together effectively, may even be more powerful than the original S.H.I.E.L.D.

However, at this moment.

These Skrulls who stepped off the space carrier had completely lost the arrogance they once had as people about to become the masters of Earth.

They all looked gloomy, their faces practically screaming despair.

All of this was naturally the result of the three Gundams' simultaneous attack and the fact that they had achieved a flawless victory.

As one of the most important intelligence hubs for the Skrulls today.

The Skrulls on these space carriers witnessed the entire battle between the three Gundams.

The sheer scale of its combat capabilities—capable of suppressing an entire army with a single machine—would inevitably instill fear even in aliens with far superior technology compared to Earth.

Moreover, judging from their performance alone, all three mechs seemed to handle the battle with ease.

If it weren't for the fact that their land, sea, and air forces didn't originate from the same direction...

It is very likely that a single Gundam could easily suppress all the troops.

Many members of the Skrulls people today were originally born on Earth.

They may have lived among ordinary humans since childhood, receiving an education from Earth, and quite possibly a happy one at that.

Asking them to understand such advanced weaponry is asking too much.

At this moment, many Skrulls were already whispering among themselves about whether the higher-ups should directly use nuclear weapons or the captured prisoners to force the Earthlings to negotiate with them.

Otherwise, if the enemy finds their hideout and attacks directly, even if they capture many superpowered individuals who can transform, they probably won't have any power to resist.

However, at the very back of this gloomy, listless Skrull group heading towards the base.

At this moment, two Skrulls wearing wristwatches appeared to have a sorrow that seemed somewhat insincere.

Although the two were whispering, most of the Skrulls were like that, so few people paid them any special attention. The male Skrull secretly scanned his surroundings while asking his companion in a low voice.

"Have you been here before? Can you confirm the location of your detention?"

"No, who knows how much money that bastard Nick Fury embezzled and what he did with it!"

The female Skrull, who was also observing from the shadows, replied in a low voice with a somewhat unfriendly tone.

These two were, of course, Natasha and Bucky, who had infiltrated the area in disguise.

Their original goal was to find Tony and the others who had been captured, and to find a way to infiltrate the Skrulls and obtain the exact coordinates of the space station.

Based on their previous speculation, the two missions were very likely to eventually merge into one, and Tony and the others would be imprisoned in the space.

The two naturally followed the Skrulls' lead in capturing disguised prisoners, and eventually made their way to the original S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier.

However, neither of them expected that the final landing site of the space carrier would be an Arctic base they had never heard of before.

Just as the two were talking, another valve hum came from the space carrier behind them.

The two looked back and saw a multi-functional landing craft on a space carrier slowly detaching and descending.

Bucky spoke again.

"Those should be the new prisoners. What do you think? Should we notify Orange to clean up the mess?"

While on the aircraft carrier, the two had already seen many new prisoners captured by the Skrulls.

Among them are super-powered villains marked by S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as some people in power from countries outside the United States.

It is clear that the Skrulls captured them alive in order to extract their genes and memories.

Who knows, the place they'll be taken next might be the same place where Tony Stark and the others are being held.

However, Natasha simply shook her head slightly upon seeing this.

"No rush, let's wait until we see Steve and the others first."

As they spoke, the two saw Skrulls roughly transferring the unconscious prisoners from the airship downwards. They exchanged a glance.

"Let's go, let's follow them!"

With that, the two of them swaggered off from the back of the group and headed toward the airship.

It was already clear that the Skrulls were poorly managed, and because many of their people were scattered across different parts of the world, they were not very familiar with each other.

The two didn't even bother to disguise themselves; their green Skrull appearances alone allowed them to easily blend into the prisoner-carrying team.

However, just as the two were imitating other Skrulls, they randomly picked an unconscious prisoner, threw him onto a cart, and dragged him away.

But then a strange thing happened.

Just as a Skrull was about to lay out his prisoner and drag him away, the prisoner suddenly opened his eyes.

Before the Skrull could even react, the prisoner's hand had already transformed into sharp claws, ripping him open.

"Everyone, watch out!"

"Alarm! Alarm!"
