Chapter 136: A Foreign Country
Cai Yinong couldn't immediately determine whether Jiang Yuanyuan's words were true or false, so he could only issue a stern warning:
“Jiang Yuanyuan, let me tell you, you need to understand who you are working for. I am the president of Tangren, and I pay your salary, not Liu Shishi.”

On the other end of the phone, Jiang Yuanyuan curled her lip in disdain, thinking to herself, "I really don't care about the salary offered by Tangren Film and Television."

My former employer, Boss Song, is so generous. He entrusted me to take good care of Shishi and gave her a gift worth tens of thousands of yuan. In a few days, I can even take advantage of my mistress to travel abroad.

Although he didn't take the warning seriously, he still had to give Boss Cai face, so he pretended to be aggrieved and explained:
"President Cai, I really didn't know anything about it. I was only with Shishi when we were filming 'Young Warriors of the Yang Clan.' I wasn't with her at other times, so I don't know the specifics."

"If anything happens to Shishi later, you need to report it to me immediately. Don't try to cover it up for her. Also, find out about Shishi's boyfriend when you get the chance."

Feeling that Jiang Yuanyuan wasn't lying, Cai Yinong could only offer some words of advice and then reluctantly give up.

"Understood, Mr. Cai!"

"None of them are easy to deal with. They've become arrogant and don't respect themselves anymore!"

After ending the call, Cai Yinong felt helpless and had a headache. He had really worried himself sick.

The relationship between Hu Ge, the top male star, and Xue Jianing hasn't been resolved yet, and now the top female star has suddenly found a boyfriend. The team is completely overwhelmed. I'm exhausted!
Frustrated and with nowhere to vent his anger, he couldn't help but curse: "Young people are so naive. Starting a relationship so early in the entertainment industry, how many couples can stay together until the end? They'll break up sooner or later, and the days of regret are yet to come!"

Not to mention that Cai Yinong is racking her brains to figure out how to handle Hu Ge and Liu Shishi's relationship and prevent the negative impact of their relationship being exposed, as her boss, she has to take precautions and prepare countermeasures in advance.

As soon as Jiang Yuanyuan ended the call, she hurriedly called her mistress to report the matter.

As Liu Shishi was reviewing the script again, her assistant's tense and hurried voice came through the phone as soon as the call connected.

"Shishi, President Cai just called and asked about your relationship. I didn't know how to answer, so I just brushed it off for now and called you right away."

Liu Shishi shook her head. It seemed that tonight was not a good time to read the script; all the noise and distractions made it impossible to concentrate.

Having anticipated that Sister K would ask the assistant, she calmly and composedly replied into the receiver, "Yuanyuan, just pretend you know nothing about my relationship with Song Ci. My private life is none of Sister K's business."

Jiang Yuanyuan assured him, "Okay, I understand. I will do as you say. Don't worry, Shishi, I'm very careful and haven't revealed any information about President Song to President Cai."

After hearing this, Liu Shishi nodded, trusting Jiang Yuanyuan even more. She knew Jiang Yuanyuan was very sensible in her actions.

"Shishi, I'm just curious, why don't you just tell President Cai about your relationship with President Song? I bet President Cai would be overjoyed if you two could be together, wouldn't that solve all the problems?"

Liu Shishi thought for a moment and slowly said, "I have my own considerations. If Sister K and Tangren's group find out about my relationship with Song Ci, they will definitely ask me to try to get all kinds of resources."

I'm easily influenced, and that would put me in a difficult position. It's fine as it is now; I can tell which people in the company are truly loyal to me.

Jiang Yuanyuan seemed to understand, but the young mistress was somewhat introverted and socially awkward, and not good at refusing people. If the people from Tangren knew about her relationship with President Song, things would probably get messy. Just as she was about to ask another question, she heard Liu Shishi's instructions.

"Alright, Yuanyuan, let's not talk about me anymore. When you have free time, try to keep in touch with Assistant Song. Mr. Song took you abroad this time hoping that you could take this opportunity to broaden your horizons and gain some experience."

You should learn a lot from Assistant Song, such as handling visas, booking flights, and reserving hotels abroad. Assistant Song is very experienced in these areas, so ask her for advice; you might need it in the future.

Jiang Yuanyuan quickly replied, "Yes, Shishi, don't worry."

"Okay, then see you in a few days." Liu Shishi hung up the phone with a smile. Mr. Song wanted to train Jiang Yuanyuan in advance so that she could be in charge of his team in the future.

Compared to the arrangements made in Song Ci, Liu Shishi was also pleased with the outcome. An assistant needs to know and be responsible for many of a celebrity's private matters; therefore, the person must be loyal and reliable.

Jiang Yuanyuan and I met when we were both struggling. We formed a deep friendship when she helped me garner votes during the school beauty pageant.

The assistant is very dedicated to her work, and her family is well-off, so she won't cause any problems for money.

Song Ci thought of giving this loyal and reliable partner a chance to help Liu Shishi manage the team in the future. So she asked Song Xueying to mentor her first and take her with her on this trip abroad so that she could broaden her horizons with Liu Shishi.

As the calendar pages turned, it quickly came to the end of June. The summer sun shone on the Beijing Dance Academy, adding a fiery touch to this season of farewell.

Liu Shishi, dressed in a solemn graduation gown, had a smile on her face that was both excited and a little reluctant as she busied herself taking photos with Yang Yi and Chen Xin.

Her black robe fluttered gently in the breeze, a square graduation cap sat upright on her head, and a bright red graduation ribbon hung on her chest, adding a touch of intellectual radiance to her.

With the click of the camera shutter, one photo after another, full of youthful energy, was captured and recorded, and precious and beautiful moments were eternally frozen in time.

After taking graduation photos in the afternoon, Liu Shishi's four years at the Beijing Dance Academy are about to come to a perfect end. This year's students will leave the campus tomorrow and go their separate ways.

In the dormitory at night, the soft lights illuminated several youthful faces, yet a faint sense of melancholy permeated the air.

Liu Shishi sat on the edge of the bed, holding a thick photo album in her hand, flipping through the bits and pieces recorded over the past four years of university.

Chen Xin dragged over a chair and sat down opposite Liu Shishi, saying her final goodbye. Tomorrow she would be embarking on her journey back to her hometown in Hainan Province. At this moment, her eyes sparkled with anticipation for the future and reluctance to part with her time on campus.

"Xin Xin, time flies so fast. In the blink of an eye, we'll be going our separate ways." Liu Shishi said softly as she closed the photo album, her voice tinged with a barely perceptible sob.

Chen Xin smiled slightly and gently patted Liu Shishi's hand: "Yes, Shishi, time flies so fast. But we have many wonderful memories, don't we?"

Liu Shishi nodded, her eyes slightly reddening: "Yes, I will cherish it. You take care too, and don't forget to keep in touch with us after you return to Hainan Province."

Chen Xin suppressed her worries, raised her eyebrows, and smiled brightly, saying, "Don't worry, with today's advanced communication and transportation, we can meet again sometime."

"But you, my big star, don't forget me in the future. When you and Song Ci get married, you must send me a wedding invitation." Liu Shishi blushed and replied shyly in a low voice, "Definitely. You and Yiyi will be my bridesmaids."

Chen Xin patted Liu's soft hand again, turned to look at her other roommate, and asked with concern, "Yiyi, what are your plans?"

Yang Yi lay listlessly on the edge of the bed, clearly affected by the sadness of parting. Unlike her usual lively self, she was sullen and answered in a muffled voice:
"I share an apartment with a girl from a broadcasting arts troupe. I've enrolled in an acting training class, and I'll be reporting to the 'Orange Born in Huainan' production team, which Shishi recommended, in a while."

Chen Xin nodded, relieved: "Shishi, I'm entrusting Yiyi to you from now on. It's not easy to make a living in Beiping. You're a local, so please help her out."

"Mmm," Liu Shishi replied, reaching out to hug Chen Xin.

Yang Yi also stood up and hugged Chen Xin. The three girls embraced tightly, bidding each other a reluctant farewell. Because they would be going their separate ways the next day, the three chatted until late at night, cherishing their last moments together.

On June 27th, Liu Shishi had already graduated from the Beijing Dance Academy, and Song Ci from Peking University had also started her summer vacation. The two of them went to Germany as planned to watch the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

After a ten-hour flight from Beiping, Song Ci and his entourage finally arrived in Berlin on the afternoon of June 27th, local time.

The plane landed at Berlin Otto Lilienthal Airport, a well-known commercial airport in Europe and the main airport of Berlin, the capital of Germany. It is located in Tegel, Berlin, about 8 kilometers northwest of the city center.

Berlin is located in the transition zone between temperate maritime and temperate continental climates. Summers are relatively warm but not hot. Late June marks the beginning of summer in the city, with daytime temperatures generally between 20°C and 25°C, making for a pleasant climate.

When Song Ci stepped off the plane, Berlin was bathed in clear skies, and the pleasant temperature was even more comfortable than in Beijing, instantly invigorating him. The warm sunshine on his body swept away the fatigue of the long flight.

This was the first time Song Ci had ever set foot on German soil in both his lifetimes. He was filled with curiosity and longing for this foreign land, and he wanted to have a good time in Germany with Liu Shishi.

As soon as they got off the plane, Song Xueying, Song Ci’s assistant, came up to him and said, “Mr. Song, I have arranged a guide, translator and a private car. Let’s collect our luggage and go straight out of the station to take the car to the hotel.”

In addition to Song Ci and Liu Shishi, the group on this trip to Germany also included their assistants Song Xueying and Jiang Yuanyuan, as well as their bodyguard Tang Yue, making a total of five people.

Although Germany has a good level of public security, Song Ci now basically brings bodyguards when traveling long distances. Safety comes first, and it's better to be safe than sorry.

Hearing about the meticulous arrangements, Song Ci nodded in satisfaction and praised, "Well done, thank you for your hard work, senior. I'll leave the rest to you."

Song Xueying quickly replied modestly, "You're too kind. It's just what I should do. I'm very happy to be able to travel abroad with you."

After collecting their luggage and exiting the airport, a luxury van was already waiting in the parking lot.

The driver was a middle-aged white man. Although we couldn't understand each other's language, he politely helped open the car door and carry the luggage.

The hired guide and translator were already waiting in the car. As soon as everyone got on, he quickly introduced himself:
"Welcome to Berlin. I am Zhang Cheng, your guide and translator for this trip. I will accompany you for the next few days and introduce you to the beautiful scenery and history of Berlin."

Our guide, Zhang Cheng, was a young man who spoke fluent Mandarin. His gentle yet professional voice made us feel warm and at ease.

The van slowly drove towards the city center, smoothly navigating the streets of Berlin. Song Ci rolled down the window, letting it open halfway, and a gentle breeze swept through, invigorating her spirits.

The drive from the airport to the hotel takes about an hour, a long and arduous journey. Song Ci chatted with the guide, asking, "Did you study in Germany, Director Zhang?"

Sitting in the passenger seat, Zhang Cheng turned around and replied with a smile, "I'm from Jinshi. I'm currently pursuing my doctorate at the Free University of Berlin. I've been here for almost four years. In my spare time, I take on some jobs as a tour guide for tourists from China, which is a way for me to work and earn some pocket money."

Song Ci praised, "It seems Director Zhang is very talented!"

Zhang Cheng smiled shyly: "Life abroad is quite stressful. These past few years of studying abroad have cost my family a lot of money. I can't rely on my parents for everything."

During this period, Germany hosted the World Cup, and many tourists from China came to visit. We international students worked as tour guides for our compatriots to earn some living expenses. I will return to China after I graduate with my doctorate.

"Many international students stay here after completing their studies, and those like Director Zhang who intend to return to China to develop their careers are a minority."

It is now 2006. Although China's economy has made great progress after years of development, there is still a certain gap compared with developed countries in Europe and America. Many students who have studied abroad want to stay abroad after graduation.

Zhang Cheng sighed: "Well, it's a foreign country after all, and it's really hard for Chinese people to integrate into the local community. It's also difficult to stay in Germany. Besides, my parents and relatives are all in China. It's better to go back."

Song Ci chatted with Zhang Cheng to learn about the situation of European students and wondered if they could recruit some talent for Tengda Group.

Liu Shishi, sitting next to me, and Jiang Yuanyuan, sitting in the back row, chattered excitedly as they looked at the Berlin street scene. It was their first time going abroad, and they couldn't stop talking excitedly as soon as they got off the plane.

Ancient and elegant buildings line both sides of the street, their exquisite carvings and mottled walls seemingly telling stories of bygone eras. Sunlight spills onto the rows of classical buildings, casting a warm glow.

Jiang Yuanyuan stared intently out the window, her eyes sparkling with curiosity and amazement. Every now and then, she would pat Liu Shishi's shoulder and point to a very special building: "Shishi, what is that building? It's so tall!"

Liu Shishi was also attracted by the exotic street scene. She leaned forward slightly, wanting to take in every view. When she heard Jiang Yuanyuan's words, she looked in the direction of the voice and saw a towering white tower-like building standing on the ground in the distance.

Song Ci looked in the direction of the voice and speculated, "That should be the Berlin TV Tower."

Upon hearing this, Zhang Cheng smiled and introduced, "Mr. Song is right, it is indeed the Berlin TV Tower, located between Alexanderplatz and Republicplatz in the city center."

It is a landmark of Berlin, completed in October 1969, and is 45 meters taller than the Eiffel Tower in France.

As the car continued its journey, Zhang Cheng introduced several scenic spots along the way. This guide was indeed quite skilled, able to readily and eloquently recount the history and culture of various buildings in Berlin, Germany.
