Chapter 539 Great Terror, The Path of the Venerable

Chapter 539 Great Terror, The Path of the Venerable
The summit of the main mountain.

A phantom of a spirit-sealing path, intertwined with incense smoke, is half-hidden in auspicious clouds.

Unlike the real scene, a white paper Taoist temple stands at the edge of the central location.

Outside the Taoist temple, a line of lifelike paper figures are queuing to enter the temple.

Upon closer inspection, the number of these paper figures matched the number of Canglang and his group, clearly carrying their thoughts and feelings.

Beneath the illusion, the thatched cottage, resembling the courtyard of the Three Immortals Pavilion, was peaceful and serene.

Upon closer inspection, one discovers that the thatched hut stands apart from the world.

It seems to stand quietly on the top of the main mountain, or as if it stands in another space.

Inside the thatched hut, Li Wushou sat cross-legged in meditation.

Two figures sat cross-legged on either side.

Unlike the figure in the green robe in the center, the figure on the left is dressed in a red robe.

The red robe, as vivid as blood, reflected on the left half of the house, making it appear blood-red.

Upon closer inspection, the walls and floor were slowly undulating in sync with the breathing of Li Wushou's red-robed figure.

The walls and floors were already covered in blood and flesh, and the entire left half of the house looked like a den of flesh and blood.

Li Wushou, dressed in red, had his eyes closed. Above his head, crystal-like beads floated, each containing a vast amount of blood and flesh essence.

Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that within each crystal, a phantom was roaring.

"Li Wushou, I am the eleventh generation descendant of the Azure Lotus Ancestor, and the elder brother of the Immortal Lotus Venerable. Do you dare to refine your blood and flesh foundation?"

"When the Qinglian Clan enters the world, you will surely die. The Ancestor will not let you go."

"Spare me, and I'll grant your permission to be with Qinghe."

"Li Wushou"

Luo Qing went from hysteria to pleading for mercy.

Li Wushou, dressed in red, remained silent, focusing solely on refining the essence of flesh and blood.

He has been refining it in this way for ten days.

However, the blood crystals refined in the past few days, like the Blood Sea Saint Realm cultivators who were killed in the "Sacred Domain" of Zhongtian Pass, were mostly mentally desolate and not as noisy as Luo Qing.

To the right of Li Wushou in red robes, another figure in golden robes sat cross-legged on a futon.

This primordial spirit clone is like a god or a saint.

It still maintains its single-headed, two-armed form, but unlike usual, the primordial spirit now wears a golden crown made from a large amount of incense.

Light and shadow flickered within the golden crown, reflecting the scene of the sealed spirit, closely connected with the phantom supported by auspicious clouds in the sky above.

The Paper Goddess's white paper temple also floated within it, and even the scene of the Paper Goddess discussing with Canglang and others flashed by within the crown.

Li Wushou, however, had no time to think about anything else, silently reciting the mantra "Food is the most important thing."

A large amount of incense energy from the outside world was poured into the primordial spirit avatar through the crown.

Although it has not yet merged with the physical body, the primordial spirit avatar is now as lively as a living person, brimming with vitality.

It seems that relying solely on his primordial spirit, he has already reached the level of Blood Buddha and others, where flesh and primordial spirit are integrated and waiting to transform into the Yang God realm.

Li Wushou even had a feeling that if he were to merge his primordial spirit, golden core, and physical body into one, he could transform into a Yang God in the blink of an eye.

To completely forge the body of a venerable being, enduring for ten thousand years and eternally indestructible through countless eons.

It's just that due to its own transformation, neither its primordial spirit nor its physical body has reached its limit yet.

Furthermore, whenever he tries to completely merge his three bodies into one, his ego spirit tablet will involuntarily tremble incessantly, as if a great terror awaits him.

This caused him to suppress his desire several times and not choose to merge at this time.

This terror strikes directly at the mind and soul.

It was like a warning from the heavens, or a calamity that was destined to be experienced.

Li Wushou was somewhat confused about this.

Is it because "He" has already seen him?

Or will it be when he becomes a Venerable One that he will attract the attention of "He"?

Or perhaps anyone who wants to become a Venerable One must overcome this hurdle?

Based on his previous understanding, there are only three conditions for becoming a Venerable One.

Firstly, it is the body of a Venerable Yang Spirit, which is the case for most people, whether they are in the divine path or the immortal path.

The body of the Yang God can roam the void, ignore void storms, and survive in all kinds of extreme and harsh environments, remaining indestructible through countless eons.

Secondly, the ultimate transformation of one's own Dao and Law enables one to resist the assimilation of the universe and forge one's own path.

Once this state is reached, one's own Dao and Dharma can reverse and change the laws of heaven and earth, and one's own location becomes the main place.

Thirdly, one can integrate one's own Dao and Dharma into the Dharma Realm to create one's own Sacred Realm.

The stronger the Dao and the Law, the stronger the Sacred Realm created. This not only allows the Sacred Realm to exist in the void for a longer time, but also makes the Venerable One even stronger.

At this step, everyone makes a different choice.

Some people master a single method to its fullest extent;
Some people, however, attempt to combine multiple methods.

Because in the eyes of many people, the step of creating the Sacred Realm is actually to imitate the Great Realm and create a complete world.

If there truly are "immortals" in this world, then is this vast world a super "sacred realm" created by them?
If they could also master all the arts, could they also become immortals in one leap?
Throughout history, countless cultivators have harbored such ambitions.

But in the end, they were unable to overcome that insurmountable barrier!

The more Tao and Dharma one possesses, the higher the threshold for becoming a Venerable One becomes.

A Nascent Soul cultivator can only live for a few thousand years at most; who could be proficient in so many techniques?

Even if one has mastered various Daoist principles, the thresholds that stand in the way ahead have become chasms, and who can cross them?
Therefore, many venerable ones master one main method and then cultivate several secondary methods to supplement the main method, and then begin to break through to become venerable.

Just like Venerable Golden Light, he took the Golden Spirit Method as his foundation and, in order to develop the sharpness to the extreme, he also incorporated the spatial method and the power of killing.

After achieving the status of a Venerable One, the Holy Realm and its surroundings were settled.

The stability of the Sacred Realm is related to the lifespan of the Venerable Ones and their ability to survive in the void.

At this point, trying to comprehend other paths and methods becomes extremely difficult and dangerous; a single misstep could cause the Holy Realm to collapse.

Therefore, the path to becoming a venerable one by refining all methods is almost cut off.

This is also one of the reasons why Xuanhuang and Yanwu were willing to compromise after witnessing Li Wushou's rampage in the Battle of Zhongtian Pass.

Because within the "Holy Domain" alone, Li Wushou used as many as five or six different techniques.

This gave Li Wushou the foundation to dominate the Nascent Soul stage, but it didn't necessarily mean he could cross the threshold of the Venerable level.

If one does not become a venerable being, one is ultimately just an ant!
What does temporary glory amount to?
These were not things that Li Wushou could analyze, but rather that on the day he parted ways with Wu Qinghe and returned to Sanxian Mountain, Wu Zhuangyuan sought out Li Wushou again for some unknown reason.

He specifically explained in detail many aspects of the Venerable Realm.

Only then did Li Wushou realize the intricacies of the matter.

During this period of absorbing and digesting what he had learned, Li Wushou also kept thinking about his path to becoming a Venerable.

Just now, while helping the Paper Goddess raise her life star high in her divine aperture world, Li Wushou still hadn't figured out his path to becoming a Venerable.

But at that moment, through his own spirit tablet, he sensed the struggle of the talisman master after the paper goddess became a deity.

After seeing the talisman master reaffirm his resolve, Li Wushou also regained his clarity.

At this moment, all the gloom in my heart dissipated.

If one cultivates the path of immortality solely to become a Venerable, then there is no need to hesitate. One can choose any method and anchor oneself to the Path of Sealing Spirits in an instant.

But I'm aiming to become an immortal!
What others cannot traverse may not be a dead end for him.

Even if it's a dead end, would you just stop?
Becoming an immortal is a dead end, so why should I give up cultivating?

Such hesitation is truly inappropriate.

Having realized this, Li Wushou's spirit tablet trembled slightly, and a sense of clarity filled his heart.

In a daze, Li Wushou felt that his understanding of the laws of heaven and earth had become clearer.

At that moment, he had a sudden realization.

It seems that his earlier hesitation was not due to his personality, but rather a kind of mental confusion that had plunged him into this state of bewilderment.

This confusion may seem ordinary, but the danger it concealed made Li Wushou somewhat fearful.

Once he chooses another path to becoming a Venerable, he will undoubtedly put himself in extremely heavy shackles, making it far too difficult to make any further breakthroughs.

For the first time since embarking on the path of immortality, Li Wushou sensed the dangers involved.

One wrong step leads to another; this is not an exaggeration.

With a thought, a powerful force of boundary energy flowed out from his divine aperture and descended into the main hall at the foot of the mountain.

Just as he had made up his mind and was waiting for Li Wushou to emerge from seclusion, the talisman master paused for a moment.

Then, with a joyful expression, he loudly bowed and said:
"Thank you, Second Master, for bestowing upon me the knowledge."

After bowing and expressing his gratitude for a while, seeing that the Second Master did not reply, the black-threaded cloak behind him suddenly trembled, and a strange magical realm slowly unfolded.

A large amount of boundary power was introduced into the Dharma realm.

At the very center of the Dharma realm, the primordial spirit of the talisman master stretches across heaven and earth.

With arms hanging down in front of him, his palms had become ethereal, and countless black threads extended from his palms, each thread rooted in a mind.

Upon closer inspection, the talisman master controls thousands of minds.

Li Wushou glanced at it and quietly composed himself.

It was not yet time for him to leave the pass.

Now that he has decided on the path of the Venerable One, he needs to carefully examine his own Dao and Dharma.
