Once upon a time there was a greedy snake.

Chapter 259 A Large Star Falls from the Sky

Chapter 259 A Large Star Falls from the Sky
Unlike the previous plagues that spread due to the gaze of the God of Life, the ones currently in David Day's hands are true warriors under the command of the God of Life.

Those that rise from the rotting swamp are the creep walkers of the god of life. These twisted monsters are covered with pulsating mycelium, leaving a fluorescent green creep on the ground with every step they take. Most deadly of all are the ring-shaped mouthparts that split open in their thoraxes, filled with wriggling sporangia, all of which are full of spores waiting to be parasitized.

They are the infantry of the god of life, possessing terrifying regenerative abilities; even if they are split in two, new limbs will grow from the broken pieces.

Next came the twisted trees, things that had been scattered throughout the rotting swamp, seemingly just background elements, but now they were all alive—beneath their bark-like skin, countless blood vessels were clearly pulsating. Their arms were forked vines, ending in bony calyxes that could snap shut like Venus flytraps, crushing their prey and injecting a growth-inducing sap.

They are the guardians of the god of life, capable of quickly turning enemies into nourishment, thus sustaining allies and ensuring endless life.

But what was most terrifying were the mounds of soil that rose from the ground. It was clearly a moving swamp, with solidified mud, rotting leaves, and countless bones embedded in it, forming a terrifying hill. When it moved, the earth would tremble, and all the creatures it crushed would be digested and become part of it.

"Just like that giant serpent from back then..."

David Day grinned as he looked at the swamp behemoths rising from the ground.

Yes, he now has many terrifying behemoths like the giant serpent from back then under his command.

Even if the giant serpent's body swells again, even becoming as big as a small mountain, how could the serpent god that the Ignivas once worshipped possibly survive the siege of these swamp behemoths?

Of course, relying solely on these methods might not be enough to subdue the giant serpent. After all, compared to the giant serpent itself, the one currently on that planet, Casaloron, is the most dangerous. David Day had heard of Casaloron's reputation. Unlike him, who served the god of life, Casaloron was chosen by the god of tyranny, which led Casaloron to constantly wage wars and even fight many classic battles.

The giant serpent could be dealt with by the warriors of the God of Life alone, but if we include Kassalon...

"We need to bring more."

Thinking this, David Day's large body had already floated into the air.

Along with David Day, the rotting swamp beneath his feet also took flight. The putrid silt enveloped the warriors of the God of Life, along with David Day, forming a sphere.

The Barrier of Rebirth—this was an extra measure David Day had prepared. This swamp itself could be considered a war fortress, even capable of traversing the starry sea. With such a war fortress, it meant that warriors of the God of Life would appear in an endless stream, and that enormous number would surely give Casaloran an unexpected surprise.

Of course, the real surprise wasn't the barrier to new life itself.

Rather, it is the seed that David Day is holding in his hands right now.

What appears to be an ordinary seed is the key to the creation plan. Whether you call it the World Tree or the Seed of Destruction, this seed from the God of Life can drain all the nutrients from this planet, transform all life on it, and thus usher in a new era for this planet.

However, such terrifying efficacy cannot be achieved immediately. The seed needs time to grow, and during the growth process, it needs the protection of the warriors of the God of Life. Fortunately, it is not only the warriors who protect the seed, but also the aura from the God of Life, which is itself the best line of defense.

Not everyone is qualified to receive the blessings of the god of life, for these blessings are so abundant that even a little exposure can cause ordinary people to develop abscesses, tumors, or even unbearable pain. But in such cases, David Day simply wants to say that suffering is only temporary. When they understand the true meaning of life, they will discover that all of this comes from the gifts of life. "I have returned with the hope of life..."

While muttering to himself, David Day, mired in the mud, extended his consciousness to sense the environment outside the swampy mud ball.

Five stars, four stars, three stars—they were getting closer and closer to that planet. After all, this star system, including the sun, only had ten stars in total—and that planet, which was originally his home planet, was now the third star beyond the sun.

"It really is... barbaric."

Still a star away from his home planet, David Day had not yet suffered any attacks. Clearly, his ancient homeland had not even developed the most basic anti-air capabilities.

"Then, it's all coming to an end."

As David Day's consciousness converged, a large, dark star descended from the sky.

The falling stars, carrying a putrid stench, merely swept across the sky, and the splashing mud fell like a torrential rain—even from such a height, the mud remained a viscous liquid, and upon hitting the ground, it immediately began to spread in all directions.

The vegetation rotted rapidly under the influence of the mud, and even the earth became muddy, emitting a sticky smell.

But this was merely the aftershock of that great star falling.

A massive star streaked across the sky, heading straight for the great city on the ground, or rather, the enormous ancient serpent coiled outside that city—the star crashed down on the serpent without giving it even a moment to react.

"That's it! Hehehe! That's it!"

At the heart of the rotting swamp, deep in the mud, David Day, who was controlling everything, had a sinister smile on his face!

"How did you run me over back then? How many times did you run me over? Now it's finally my turn! It's finally my turn to run you over!"

David Day had never felt so exhilarated; this was perhaps the happiest moment of his life. He had surrendered to the god of life, only to be given this rotting body in return, even to the point of groveling and fawning… all of this was for this moment!
"die!"

David Day fully unleashed his consciousness, determined to blast the giant snake to smithereens.

However, it was at this very moment.

In David Day's perception, the giant snake raised its head.
