Fulilian: The Little Master Who Doesn't Understand Love
Chapter 318 The Past of the Divine Kingdom
Chapter 318 The Past of the Divine Kingdom
When Olivia revealed her identity, Vlamé was also taken aback.
Sure enough, the Skywing Clan member before them was the one who had traveled with Professor Lord in history.
But why does the other party claim to be a member of Lord's clan? Shouldn't the Skywing Clan be the clan of the goddess?
Vlame was also somewhat confused about the reason. She followed Olivia and walked through this city in the sky, but her eyes were involuntarily drawn to everything around her.
The buildings lining both sides of the street seemed to be blessed with some kind of special magical runes, and many of them were styles that Vlame had never seen before.
Unfortunately, most of the buildings have cracked, otherwise it would have been an incredibly magnificent and glorious pure white city.
“These buildings…” Vlame couldn’t help but murmur, “The materials used are somewhat peculiar; I can sense an extremely faint magical resonance remaining within them.”
She reached out, wanting to touch the broken wall beside her, but hesitated and looked at Olivia in front of her.
Olivia didn't turn around. "Yes. The stones in the Divine Kingdom, once blessed by the power of faith, are excellent conductors of magic." She paused, then added, "That's why they can support this city suspended in the sky."
Vlamed understood, and his mind began to have a more concrete image of the former glory of this divine kingdom.
She noticed that Olivia did not stop her, which reassured her somewhat and emboldened her as she continued to curiously observe the ancient, isolated city.
If it weren't for this Skywing Clan lady's permission, anyone else wouldn't have been able to break through the barrier, let alone observe at such close range.
Fortunately, I am a disciple of Lord and Celia, so I am somewhat related to them.
The two eventually arrived at the very center of the city, the temple where Olivia had been.
Compared to the ruins of other buildings, it was intact, without any signs of damage. Even the large door, carved with various patterns, was quietly open, as if welcoming Vlamé's visitor.
Olivia led Vlamé into the main hall.
The interior space is very spacious, with a high dome supported by countless huge white stone pillars. At the end of the hall is a tall statue of a goddess. The entire hall is empty, with almost no superfluous decorations.
"sit down."
Olivia pointed to a few lonely little chairs to the side, and Vlame sat down as instructed, but her eyes still couldn't help but look around. She couldn't feel any sense of life here.
How exactly does this Skywing Clan lady survive?
“The Skywing race does not need to rely on food to sustain life; magic is the fuel that keeps us moving.” Olivia seemed to see through her thoughts and explained, “Of course, we can eat normally. Although there used to be food stored in the city, after a thousand years, all the food has long since rotted away, so we cannot entertain you. Please forgive us.”
Vlame quickly waved his hand: "Your Excellency Olivia, you flatter me."
Olivia nodded slightly, no longer dwelling on the matter.
With a flick of her wrist, a small bottle appeared in her palm, its surface shimmering with a beautiful light. "This is Goddess Dewdrop, a secret elixir of the Skywing Clan," she said, handing the bottle to Vlame. "It can slightly and permanently increase the user's maximum magic power. There's not much left, so consider it a small gift."
Vlame was taken aback. A potion that could permanently increase one's magic power limit? She had never heard of such a miraculous potion before; it was practically priceless. She quickly stood up, hesitated for a moment, and then respectfully accepted it with both hands, saying, "Thank you so much, Senior Olivia!"
“It’s alright.” Seeing that she accepted without hesitation, Olivia was quite pleased. She sat down again and asked, “Why are you here? Is it… Lord Lord’s arrangement?”
Vlame carefully put away the potion, then shook his head upon hearing this: "It wasn't arranged by the teacher. I happened to look up at the sky and discovered this moving city. Out of curiosity, I came here to investigate."
“Moving…” A look of understanding flashed in Olivia’s eyes. “I see. The divine kingdom is not always stationary. It floats above the clouds and drifts slowly along some ancient trajectory. Even I don’t know where it is on the continent right now.”
"We are now in the northern part of the continent, near the front line where the allied forces are fighting the demons," Vlame informed us, and briefly explained the recent events in which the demons had provoked the war.
"The demons... have they started another war?" Olivia's face showed little surprise or concern. "Has Lord Lord made a move?" She was more concerned about Lord's movements.
"The teacher seems to be on guard against the newly emerged demon king, and therefore has not yet directly intervened in the battlefield."
Olivia nodded and remained silent. If Lord Lord needed her, she wouldn't mind using the city again, even if it meant losing this remaining piece of her homeland.
But clearly, with Lord Lord's current strength, he no longer needs my help.
A brief silence fell over the hall.
Unable to suppress another curiosity in his heart, Vlame hesitated for a long time before finally asking, "Your Excellency Olivia, since the building materials used in this city are all blessed with the power of faith, they shouldn't be in such a dilapidated state even after a thousand years, right?"
She had previously noticed that the damage to many buildings was not due to natural weathering, but rather to tearing caused by some kind of explosion.
Olivia thought for a moment, her gaze sweeping across the empty hall, and felt there was no need to hide anything from Lord Lord's disciple before her.
“It was caused by teleportation magic.” She spoke slowly, her tone tinged with recollection. “It was caused by spatial tearing resulting from teleportation magic over extremely long distances.”
"Teleportation magic?" Vlame asked in astonishment.
“Hmm.” Olivia nodded. “A thousand years ago, in order to completely eliminate the first Demon King, Lord Lord used teleportation magic to forcibly teleport the entire High Heaven God Kingdom to the location directly above the Demon King’s castle at that time.”
Vlamé gasped in shock. Teleporting the entire city?!
Isn't this too scary?
Olivia continued, "Then, with the immense power of faith accumulated by the divine kingdom over countless years, he unleashed an attack powerful enough to destroy everything. It not only completely destroyed the Demon King's castle, but also reduced the first Demon King, along with any trace of his existence, to nothingness."
Vlame was deeply moved, but then he suddenly remembered the records he had read earlier and couldn't help but blurt out, "But... legend has it that the first Demon King was defeated by the elven monk Kraft?"
Olivia turned to look at Vlame. "That's an honor that Lord Lord made Kraft bear on his own," she said, enunciating each word clearly. "The one who truly killed the first Demon Lord was Lord Lord! And he covered up that history himself."
