Greta Island Center
Beneath the ancient tree of life, Markucht, who was sketching a magic circle, suddenly raised his head, looked thoughtfully into the depths of the forest, and then murmured to himself:
"That scent is so familiar. It's been so long!"
After speaking, he gently put down the gleaming Thorium engraving pen in his hand and walked towards the huge cage not far away. This iron cage was made of Thran's Black Iron and was engraved with dizzying patterns.
Through the gaps in the iron bars, you could see a strange-looking, unidentifiable monster lying quietly inside.
Its massive body was curled up like a small hill. The beast's fur was mottled and messy, with many patches of it missing, revealing dark red muscle tissue beneath its skin.
Markucht stopped in front of the iron cage and slowly placed his right hand on the head of the unknown monster.
In an instant, a series of runes emitting black smoke appeared in his palm. These runes spread rapidly in all directions as if they were alive, covering the entire body of the magical beast at an astonishing speed.
After a dozen or so breaths, dense magical runes covered the entire body of the unknown magical beast.
The magical runes shimmered with a faint but eerie black light. As time passed, these runes gradually merged into the magical beast's body, becoming one with its flesh and blood.
After a while, the previously motionless monster suddenly began to tremble.
First, its limbs trembled slightly, then it slowly supported its massive body and gradually got up from the ground.
When the monster stood up completely, its terror was truly felt from God's perspective. Its pair of scarlet eyes were lifeless, as empty as bottomless black holes, staring straight at Makucht in front of it.
The awakened monster opened its enormous maw, large enough to swallow a unicorn thunder elephant whole, and a stream of thick, black liquid slowly flowed out from it.
These liquids are extremely corrosive. When they drip onto the iron plate at the bottom of the cage, they immediately produce wisps of black smoke and emit a nauseating, pungent odor.
"The Collapsed Multi-Headed Beast Gromar"
It took me a lot of effort to find you.
As a divine abomination, you mustn't disappoint me!
Makucht floated slowly into the air like a light feather.
His deep, cold gaze was fixed on the lifeless, enormous monster below. Then, he slowly clasped his hands together.
The next moment, a powerful magical force surged forth from Markucht's core, like a raging torrent.
In the blink of an eye, a massive magical whirlwind formed, howling and sweeping across the surroundings. As this magical whirlwind raged, the surrounding plants began to wither rapidly; their once lush foliage instantly turned yellow and shriveled, as if their life force had been drained.
Those lower-level magical beasts and humans were even less able to withstand such a terrifying magical impact. Their bodies, like flowers exposed to the scorching sun, quickly lost moisture and became dry and fragile.
In just a moment, the humans and magical beasts, drained of their life force, were reduced to dust, scattered by the wind without leaving a trace. Instead, streams of soul power flowed into the massive magical whirlwind.
Time passed second by second. About five or six minutes later, a dazzling beam of light pierced through the clouds and descended from the sky, pouring directly into the massive body of the giant monster below.
Gromar, who had been standing there dumbfounded, had no time to react before being overwhelmed by the immense magical force.
A agonizing roar erupted from within the pillar of magic light, its sound echoing through the heavens and deafeningly loud.
At the same time, thick black smoke continuously emanated from the monster's body, quickly enveloping the surrounding plants and animals.
Under the continuous scouring of the magical beams, the tough fur and scales remaining on the monster's surface began to fall off one by one, first in small pieces, and then gradually in large swaths.
Soon, the monster's body, which had been covered by a thick protective layer, was completely exposed, revealing a bloody, blackish-red mess. As the pillar of magical light thinned and eventually disappeared, Markucht slowly descended to the ground.
He remained fixed on the disfigured, fleshy monster before him, his eyes flashing with a complex light, his thoughts unreadable...
"Jie Jie Jie~"
A chilling laugh suddenly erupted, as piercing as a nail scraping against glass.
"Stand up! Stand up!"
Groma, show me your power!
Makucht raised his arms, roaring like a fanatic, with an indescribable madness and anticipation.
The flesh-and-blood monster known as Gromar's dark red muscles began to slowly flow as if they were melting.
Immediately afterwards, the flesh and blood rapidly deformed and split, transforming into countless thin and sticky tentacles. These tentacles extended rapidly in all directions at an astonishing speed, like a group of hungry venomous snakes greedily searching for their prey.
Before the surviving humans and monsters could react, they were already tightly bound and enveloped by these countless tentacles.
The tentacles possessed immense strength; no matter how much they struggled and resisted, it was all in vain. In an instant, the cries of humans and the roars of monsters pierced the sky. Before long, all the living creatures around were mercilessly dragged into Gromar's body.
At this moment, the flesh-and-blood beast went silent after absorbing all living things. Its body gradually fused into an enormous ball of flesh, which was seventy or eighty meters tall and looked extremely terrifying.
The surface of the fleshy ball kept protruding and sinking, rising and falling, just like a huge stomach desperately digesting and wriggling.
Each bulge and dent produced a dull sound, accompanied by a nauseating liquid flowing from the gaps between the fleshy lumps, making the whole scene extremely disgusting.
Greta Island - Deep in the Jungle
“Angela, this jungle is a bit strange.”
Since they entered the jungle aboard the Earth Bear, the two seemed to have been cut off from the world. As time passed, Nar's unease grew stronger.
"Nar, protect me. I need to fight for control of the island; we're isolated now."
After saying that, Angel patted the Earth Bear, indicating that the rocks didn't need to move.
"Angela, is the situation bad?"
Since arriving on the island, the old druid's worried expression had never faded. As they ventured deeper into the jungle, the wrinkles on Angerra's forehead deepened considerably.
The old druid looked up at the sky, which was obscured by dark green trees, and sighed heavily.
"It's worse than we imagined. We've been in here for a long time, but we haven't actually gone very far; we're just going around in circles in the same place."
Angella found a flat spot and sat down cross-legged. Then, she took out a large number of rune plates from her magic pouch and, under the control of her mental power, floated them to various locations and landed.
"The entire island has been corrupted by demons; I need to revitalize it. Otherwise, we're in a very passive position here."
As the old druid sat in the center of the magic circle and began to cast spells, a large expanse of green light rapidly spread outwards from Angra.
The surrounding flowers, plants, and trees swayed gently, as if receiving rain after a long drought. Angela sensed the joy emanating from them, and her furrowed brow relaxed. Seeing his old friend relax, Nar also breathed a sigh of relief, taking in the lush green scenery around him.
"Get ready! It's coming!"
