Chapter 81 "The Seris Farm Project"
Chapter 81 "The Seris Farm Project"
Zion, Tel Aviv.
General Yeshavishin had already learned of the fall of the 58th Armored Brigade, which meant that the situation in Al-Ilag was collapsing even faster than he had imagined.
Masr's SA-6s inflicted heavy losses on the Zion Air Force, with 50 aircraft lost on the first day of the war, representing one-fifth of its total fleet.
The 188th Armored Brigade stationed in Surya was decimated, leaving less than two hundred tanks on the northern front.
The situation on both sides is precarious, and now even Al-Iraq has received bad news.
General Yeshavishin frowned. The lack of depth in Zion meant that their homeland's defense capabilities were very weak. If the front line was pushed into Zion, they would lose all chance to fight back.
For the past 18 hours, General Yesavishin had been thinking about the key to breaking the deadlock, with the ashtray on his table overflowing with cigarette butts.
At that moment, the command post doors opened, and Prime Minister Albert strode in.
"Your Excellency the Prime Minister!" All the staff members saluted.
Hilbert said, "Since the start of the war, the total mobilization has brought us 15 troops, and this is not the end. More Zionians will fight to protect their homeland."
At the same time, our allies, France and the United Kingdom, will provide us with military assistance, and their transport planes will carry large quantities of airdropped supplies and materials to the areas where the fighting is most urgent.
The president's words were like fresh air entering the room, invigorating everyone.
Zion's biggest needs right now are manpower and equipment. Without solving these two issues first, nothing else can be discussed.
But now the situation seems to be finally starting to change.
Hilbert patted General Yessavichen on the shoulder. "Now I'd like to know, has my general come up with any good ideas to reverse the tide?"
General Yeshavishin came to his senses and said, "Your Excellency, I now divide the battlefield into three priority levels."
The most pressing issues for us right now are Masr's Second Army Group in the Sinai Peninsula and the Surya front in the north.
The second tier was the Euphrates front in Al-Ilag to the east, and the third was the domestic front along the Hashim River.
"For us, the loss of the second and third-tier fronts would at most mean the loss of some oil and territory, but the first-tier fronts are absolutely indispensable, because if the first-tier fronts are lost, it will directly threaten our territory!"
Zion is a country with very little depth, and of all the countries in the Middle East, it is the one that cannot afford to lose.
If Masr were to cross the Sinai Peninsula, or if Surya were to forcefully push through the Golan Heights, Zion's homeland security would be directly threatened.
At this point, General Gorodish interjected, "But now it is clear that our conventional tactics are no longer effective against Arab countries, and perhaps we need to adopt some unconventional tactics."
"Yes, that's right, it's an unconventional tactic."
General Yessavichen led Prime Minister Hilbert to the military map and said, “I have a bold idea. Since Masr could come up with a tactic like crossing the Suez Canal, why can’t we do the opposite?”
General Yeshavishen pointed with his baton to the widest section of the Suez Canal: “We can cross the river north of the Great Bitter Lake, bypass the Second Army on the Masr front, cut off its supply lines, and force the Masr Army to retreat.”
“North of the Great Bitter Lake…” General Gorodish pondered, seemingly considering the feasibility of this plan.
Yeshavishin was right. It was indeed an extremely risky plan. If the plan failed, it could very well lead to the fall of the entire Sinai Peninsula and a devastating situation in the southern war.
"Masr's Second Army concentrated all its air defense firepower on the east bank of the canal, and the air force's crushing defeat on the first day taught us a valuable lesson."
General Yeshavishin analyzed: "But if we feint to the east and attack the west, allowing the 143rd Armored Division to continue its feint attack on the east bank of the canal to draw the main force of the Masr Army, we can then force a crossing at Dviswa."
I expect that we will be able to lay the pontoon bridge within an hour and a half, allowing the armored forces to cross.
If even one armored brigade successfully crosses the river, it can destroy Masr's air defense positions and logistical hub.
Hilbert paused for a moment: "And what about Surya to the south?" Yeshavishen: "I have ordered the 7th and 188th Armored Brigades to hold Homs to the last man!"
Hilbert nodded: "If necessary, I will allow you to carry out the 'cleansing' plan."
General Yesavishin and General Gorodish exchanged a glance and then nodded.
"As for the issue of Arab air defense missiles, our allies have provided us with a strategic weapon that can be mounted on fighter jets to reduce the hit rate of surface-to-air missiles," Hilbert said. "But the actual effects have not yet been tested."
"That's wonderful!" General Gorodish exclaimed with delight. "Once we regain air superiority, the initiative in the war will be back in our hands!"
Hilbert nodded, then looked at General Yesavishin and said, "To be honest, if it weren't for the time constraints, I would prefer to choose a more conservative tactic, but I have approved your idea now. The logistics department will prepare the supplies you need within four days, including the pontoon bridge."
General Yesavishin saluted: "Mission accomplished!"
Prime Minister Hilbert waved his hand: "We also need to give this operation a code name to avoid being monitored by Arab forces during the operation."
Something unusual and not easily associated with, Hilbert had a sudden inspiration: "Why not call it the 'Seres Farm' project?"

Double will, four directions palace.
King Shams was overjoyed upon learning of the victory at the front.
"We won! We actually won!"
"Propaganda Officer!"
As he shouted, internal affairs officials immediately stepped forward. Shams said happily, "Report this out! I want the whole country to know that we have defeated Zion and captured their general!"
I want to promote Amir to Lieutenant General!
General Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the chief of staff of Shuangzhi, advised: "Your Majesty, this is only a minor victory and cannot change the situation on the battlefield. It would be better to wait until Major General Amir and Al-Iraq have surrounded Garam before bestowing rewards."
King Shams thought about it and felt that what he said made sense. After all, Amir had only recently been promoted to major general and had just served as the commander of the northern border region.
"Alright then," he said with some regret, "let's wait until he returns victorious before promoting his rank."
But the news of our victory over Zion must be shared with the entire nation as quickly as possible!
The propagandist replied, "No problem, Your Majesty."
General Naif thought for a moment and said, "If you really want to bestow a reward, you can give His Highness something else as a reward."
King Shams originally wanted to bestow some land or oil shares, but felt that was too vulgar and that some spiritual rewards would be better.
After thinking for a moment, he waved his hand and said, "Then let's award the military flag!"
King Shams said with great interest, "Since the people of Zion call him the Desert Eagle, then bestow upon him an eagle banner! Let the enemy tremble with fear at the sight of him!"
Since World War II, both Ant Group and the United States have had a tradition of awarding unique designations or special flags to outstanding units at the division and brigade levels. For example, the flag of the United States 101st Airborne Division is a black eagle emblem with a purple border, the eagle's claw grasping the number "101". Another example is Ant Group's 1st Guards Tank Army, whose flag is a red flag with gold tassels and double-sided embroidered leader medals.
General Nayef hesitated, but ultimately swallowed his words.
Propaganda Officer: "Uh, Your Majesty, should this also be included in the commendation decree?"
King Shams: "Of course! And you must deliver the flag to the Northern Expeditionary Force as quickly as possible, so that the Major General knows that this is the great hope that the royal family has placed in him!"
"understood!"
The propaganda officer received the order and hurriedly went to make preparations.
