Chapter 10 Fermentation
Five hours later, at the church in Vespuchy.

More than a dozen cars were parked directly on the roadside, piled up on the town's lawn, but no one objected.

Because right there in the church, there was a group of people who could make the whole of California tremble.

The FBI field chief in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles police chief, the mayor of Los Angeles, the mayor of San Diego, the police chief of San Diego, the lieutenant governor of California… none of these people would ever be in a small town, yet they all came!
If it hadn't happened so suddenly, even the governor, who was abroad, might have had to fly back.

This lineup made Inspector Franz and Agent Gao, who were presiding over the meeting, extremely nervous.

However, Father Angus seemed quite unperturbed, unlike the others.

Before him lay a feather that had dimmed considerably, yet the faint glow emanating from it remained strikingly bright.

Just now, Angus used the cross in his hand to gather Martin back, and the feather returned to his hand.

"Hoo..." Franz took a deep breath and began to explain, "The night before last, all of us residents in the town center had nightmares..."

After recounting the story of the two days, he concluded, "And the feather that caused Martin's mutation was the black feather of the demon god Ramer, the one that stood before Father Angus!"

Everyone looked at the feather, which was as long as Father Angus's arm, and their expressions varied.

In front of them, a projector was erected, displaying the footage from Agents Gao and Austin's dashcams.

As you can see above, this is exactly the kind of power that Martin Delasso, who is now lying unconscious in the town hospital, has unleashed.

“We emptied two magazines without breaking the feathers,” Gao said. “But the feathers he fired shattered a lot of the rocks we were hiding in!”

He pulled up the stone fragment that he had photographed afterward, and the cracks and pebbles on it were astonishing.

This scene made the many important figures who had just arrived feel a chill run down their spines.

This shifted their worldview, and their gaze involuntarily turned to the middle-aged priest standing to the side.

Angus was still wearing his black robe, looking completely calm and collected.

"Father Angus..." Finally, it was the lowest-ranking San Diego police chief who spoke up, "What is your opinion?"

If there were no extraordinary individuals present, they would probably have already started dividing up the feather.

But right now, the only extraordinary person present is Father Angus, standing right in front of us.

He was the one who comforted Martin de la Solo, and also the true owner of the feather. They might not care about an ordinary identity, but they couldn't not care about a true chosen one!
If the priests are real, then what about the Vatican, which is spread throughout the world? Are they also real?

They had to consider this possibility; given the potential for far-reaching consequences, no one would act rashly.

“These are the feathers of a heretical demon god, and should be handed over to the Holy See!” Angus maintained his stance. “However, due to their danger, I will keep them for the time being until the bishop or archbishop arrives with a notification from the Holy See!”

Upon hearing this, everyone knew that their desire to come into contact with the "extraordinary" was temporarily out of the question.

However, because of Angus's presence, they didn't seem to be in a hurry.

The lieutenant governor thought for a moment, then nodded. "Send a notification to the cardinal in Los Angeles; he'll know what to do!"

That concludes the discussion about feathers.

What they were really interested in was Father Angus himself. More worthy of attention than the extraordinary artifacts were the extraordinary human beings!
Angus's identity goes beyond that of others; he is a devout believer, a priest in the town of Vespucci, someone who has seen angels and even has a clear connection with the archangel named Raziel!
And among the people they knew and had records of, the last one similar was called "Moses," who became a prophet.

Therefore, everyone respected him, and no one knew whether Father Angus would one day become a prophet or a saint.

Moreover, everyone present should reflect on themselves and from now on, they should obey and believe in the church—even if only outwardly.

Although they did not know where this extraordinary ability came from, their keen senses, honed by their high positions, had already made them perceive the difference in the world.

They've been in this world for so many years and have never heard of this kind of information before. Now that something like this is happening in front of them, isn't it a kind of revelation?
"Father Angus, were you trained by the church?" In the end, the mayor of San Diego couldn't help but ask.

As soon as he said that, it was obvious that everyone around him turned to look at him.

Angus was not a truly wicked person; he was a devout believer. Therefore, he slowly shook his head. "The church taught me faith and to learn from the Lord's words and deeds, and to teach people to do good, but it did not teach me how to fight against evil spirits!"

"I think it might be because there are evil spirits in the town that the Lord has bestowed blessings upon us?"

Upon hearing this, everyone exchanged glances, as if they understood something!
In their eyes, the light of "ambition" was becoming increasingly difficult to suppress!

……

There was a sudden commotion on the bus traveling from Vespuchy to San Diego.

“Your Majesty! You are right!” Alvin’s voice came from Bai Yang’s ear.

"Oh, how so?" Bai Yang asked.

"Our willpower has increased dramatically, almost directly by 10,000 points, and all of these 10,000 points were provided by just a few people!" Alvin said.

"This can only mean that these people hold a large part of the power to interpret the world! In the continent of Dylan, only lords, nobles, or kings usually have this ability!"

"Once they believe, they will guide more people to believe, which is why there is so much power of will!"

Bai Yang nodded slightly, "Then in our world, it would be high-ranking officials, capitalists, and leaders of large organizations!"

"The feathers you left behind and that man named Angus, were they intentional?" Alvin asked again.

“Yes, these people must be very smart. Smart people are usually blind, but once they've made up their minds about something, they'll definitely believe it!” Bai Yang tapped his fingers lightly, gazing at the wilderness outside the window.

Even in San Diego, the eighth largest city in the United States, the suburbs still appear desolate and chaotic, a consequence of the country's problems.

That's why he suffered such a big loss when he first arrived in this city!

The gang known as "Grey Wolf" left a wound on the back of his hand, which has only just begun to scab over.

Alvin followed his gaze, looking at everything before him, and said with a smile, "Now, we possess three points of divine power and 6000 points of willpower! Your Majesty, let them pay the price!"

Bai Yang continued to knock on the window, his expression indifferent. "Revenge is just a side effect. What we need most is to make fear and crisis a breeding ground for the spread of our willpower!"

"All plans must be made to gain more willpower; I have no intention of wasting this divine power!"

"Now you can tell me, what exactly is that remaining power of lies?"
