Chapter 52 Even Demons Must Be Judged
Chapter 52 Even Demons Must Be Judged
"Sir, what should we do now?" the sheriff under his command asked.
They all turned their gaze toward him, hoping to get instructions from Stephen.
"How the hell should I know what to do?" Stephen wanted to say, but his position prevented him from doing so.
"Go and send a message to the governor, and then send a message to our president, let them know about this!"
Of course, he wouldn't choose to keep it from the higher-ups. This wasn't something that angels or benevolent spirits could come into contact with. Judging from the employee who was splitting and burning just now, this man named Remus was also a chaotic and evil type from the start!
Stephen then continued to issue orders, "Isn't a patrol already on the scene? Have our technicians connect to the Department of Veterans Affairs system and see if we can make a conversation with them first!"
"He wants money, we can give him money! As long as we can communicate, everything is negotiable!"
If this person is good at negotiating, they can negotiate no matter what the situation is like. They can give whatever the other party needs!
Although Remus may not have been worth much before, now, even if he asks for a hundred million dollars, Stephen thinks it's something that can be negotiated.
This is an extraordinary person! If he can keep the other party calm, what is money?
As Remus ascended the building, he heard a loudspeaker broadcasting through the security cameras: "Mr. Remus, please calm down. Perhaps we can talk!"
Upon hearing this, Remus raised his head, looked at the camera in front of him, and a mocking expression appeared on his face.
“Now, what’s there to talk about?” he said. “When I came here on my cane to ask for my pension, why didn’t any of you come to talk to me?”
"Why didn't any of you come and talk to me when they threw me out?"
"When they were having me killed on the roadside, why didn't any of you come to talk to me?"
"Now that I've returned from hell and started killing people here, you want to talk to me? Where were you all before?"
Upon hearing this, the entire conference room fell silent. They had nothing to say, and they couldn't even threaten the man.
Because the other party was all alone, his parents were dead, he had no children, he had no close relatives, and his wife was even a bitch who cheated him out of all his pension money!
In this country, this man is practically flawless!
"So what exactly do you want?" Stephen asked. "If you need money, we can give it to you! If you want anything else, we can give you that too!"
"I want these parasites who are living off soldiers' life-saving money to cough it all up and face trial!" Remus said coldly. "Can you do that?"
There was no response; the microphone was completely silent.
Of course, this is impossible. Of the hundreds of thousands of employees in the Department of Veterans Affairs, no one knows how many have been paid off.
But this is certainly not a small amount; it also involves various companies, banks, hospitals, and those high-ranking members of parliament.
Bring these people out for trial? Let alone them, even that blond guy at the top might get seriously hurt. Of course, they can't answer that!
"Hmph!" Remus sneered. "If you can't do it, I will!"
He walked into the office in front of him, where Will Harden, the director of the Manhattan branch of the Department of Veterans Affairs, was still happily listening to music and working hard!
The fat man was still signing orders to transfer money that was originally allocated to the accounts of some disabled veterans to his own account.
Then he was lifted up by one hand, his fat body like a duck, and slammed heavily to the ground by Remus.
“My hair… Damn it, what happened?” Our Director Weil clearly hadn’t found out anything yet, and the employees who had fled didn’t seem inclined to call him.
So, somewhat bewildered, he stared at the burly man before him and couldn't help but yell, "Who are you? Where did you come from? Security!"
He casually pressed the emergency button on his desk, warning the other person, "The police are on their way. I advise you not to do anything rash..."
Remus, of course, wouldn't listen to him. He stared into Will's eyes and said coldly, "How much of the veterans' money did you take?" Hearing this question, Will immediately replied, "No, I didn't take a single penny, but the department really doesn't have any money right now. If you want some, I'll try to squeeze some out and give it to you tomorrow, okay?"
He picked up a pen and paper and said, "Tell me your name, and I'll call you tomorrow!"
Will's inner thoughts were simple: This guy actually came to my office, damn it!
Asking for names is to find out the other person's identity. As long as he can get out of here, he won't even need to wait until the next day. He can use his power to kill the other person's entire family!
With these thoughts in mind, Will stared at the stranger with a dark look in his eyes, but still said with a smile, "I always try my best to make things convenient for you. Don't worry, I swear to God, everything will be alright!"
His sincere statements and seemingly flawless performance, even in his numerous confrontations with veterans, fooled them into believing that Director Weil was innocent, and that the problem stemmed primarily from federal inaction and corruption among his subordinates.
But Remus is not like those people. The ability Baphomet gave him, while not allowing him to fully read minds, can still easily detect lies!
So Remus reached out and, to the other's astonishment, pulled off one of Weil's feet.
Yes, it means "pull it out"!
Without any warning or movement, without even a sound, Will's left foot came from his own body into Remus's hand.
At the spot where his leg was severed, a wisp of black flame was slowly burning, helping him to burn that "gap" into a complete ball of flesh.
“You’re lying!” Remus said, setting the foot in his hand on fire, which burned to ashes bit by bit before Will’s eyes…
He was like someone holding a torch, burning the other person's limbs!
During the time he made this move, neither Will nor the onlookers in the police station said a word.
They felt a buzzing in their heads, as if they had seen something they couldn't understand.
After all, Remus's move was a bit too much for them to imagine!
How could a normal person think of such a thing?
When people force confessions, they use all sorts of torture, and if all else fails, they might even cut off someone's hands or feet. There's nothing wrong with that.
But at that moment, Wel didn't even have time to scream in pain before his leg was ripped off!
It wasn't just pulled off; it even caught fire! And it was a black flame!
How bizarre is this? My sanity is about to drop to zero!
Compared to those who only saw it on the projection, the most terrified was Weil himself, who was caught without even knowing what had happened.
He thought he could get by with his silver tongue, but he never expected that this "devil" would take off his leg!
Fear seemed to have seeped into Will's very brain, rendering him unable to utter a single harsh word; only endless terror filled his eyes: "Who are you...you demon!"
"I really am a demon, but a demon who has come to seek revenge on you!"
"I'll ask you one more time, how much of the veterans' money did you take?"
As Remus spoke, he placed his hand on Will's second leg, but his gaze lingered on the leg that was almost completely burned out. The meaning behind his words was self-evident!
Everyone, whether at the scene or in the conference room, felt a chill run down their spines!
……
Bai Yang stood aside, watching Remus's performance, observing the incompetence of the police chiefs, and also watching the police officers who had gathered outside, the onlookers who were eager to see a good show, and the reporters who were rapidly converging on the scene after realizing something was amiss!
“Angels can judge sins, so who can say that demons cannot judge?” Bai Yang said with a smile.
The power of his will was rapidly gathered within his divine essence.
