Chapter 387 Surrounded
Mochizuki Haruka walked inside and brushed past Tomatsu Tomoka.

She leaned the long-handled umbrella against the corner of the entryway. Tomatsu Yuka glanced at the exquisite umbrella handle carved with a silver cat's head, then turned and followed the girl into the living room.

"Are you satisfied after looking at it for so long?"

Tomatsu Tomoka knew very well that ever since she stormed out of the coffee shop yesterday, whether she was questioning her senior, talking with Matsue in the archives, or being taken home by Matsue, Mochizuki Haruka had been watching coldly in her own way.

But the girl ignored her words and went into the kitchen on her own. After a while, she came out with a bowl of steaming red bean soup.

"Hey." Tomatsu Yuka's expression wasn't very happy; Matsueda Jun had only cooked two bowls of soup for her.

"Shouldn't you thank me properly?" Mochizuki Haruka slowly took a sip of red bean soup, her brows furrowing slightly.

Her tastes in this area have become similar to those of boys, and she no longer likes things with distinct grains.

"Thank you for ruining the relationship between the three of us?" Tomatsu Yuka immediately retorted. "Is this your goal? I did a great job, didn't I?"

The girl had long known that she had become Mochizuki Haruka's weapon, but she did not regret it—she had not even finished venting her resentment.

Mochizuki Haruka took another sip of red bean soup. She hadn't been in a good mood while waiting outside. The thought of Tomatsu Yuka doing something to Matsue made her want to have her bodyguards break down the door and rush in.

“I’m certainly happy that coward Maki Yami has been punished.”

The girl looked up at Tomatsu Yuka, who was expressionless in front of her, "But that's not my main purpose."

"I just want to know how much you still mean to Songzhi."

Tomatsu Yuka put down her spoon, blinked, and quickly understood Mochizuki Haruka's thoughts.

If even this fails to change Matsueda Jun and Yamami Maki's attitude, their feelings will only become stronger, which will only make things more troublesome for the unwilling girls.

The pleasure of destruction is only temporary; what's more important than destruction is how to use this opportunity to disturb the hearts of both people.

"That's why I said, it seems Songzhi cares about you quite a bit." The girl smiled.

Since Tomatsu Tomoka still exists in Matsueda Jun's heart, Mochizuki Haruka believes that her own importance will only become heavier.

Therefore, we can't let the pine branches continue to live such an easy and sweet life.
She scooped up a spoonful of red beans, put them in her mouth, and chewed slowly.

We must create opportunities and then seize them.

After finishing the warm red bean soup, Mochizuki Haruka picked up the umbrella placed in the entryway. She had only come in to make sure that the two people in the house hadn't done anything strange before, and now it was time to leave.

Before closing the metal door, she spoke to the girl sitting in the living room with her back to her.

"I hope you can cause your senior a little more trouble."

Tomatsu Yuka didn't say anything, but just waved her hand, signaling her to leave quickly.

The girls don't cooperate, but when faced with a common enemy, their goals are aligned.

After the door closed, Tomatsu Yuka lay down on the table, turning her head to look at the broken red beans stuck to the rim of the bowl.

"So tired."

The girl sighed deeply, got up, and threw the bowl into the kitchen sink. She had no desire to wash the dishes; she just wanted to rest.

Two minutes later, Tomatsu Yuka curled up in the blankets, watching the torrential rain pouring down outside the French windows, leaving shimmering traces in the unlit room.

"I won't message Songzhi today," the girl thought, staring at the ceiling.

This was her little act of revenge. In the instant before drifting off to sleep, Tomatsu Yuka felt herself crying again.

She touched her cheek and realized it was just her imagination.

It was a clear premonition—that the time in a young girl's youth, paved with love and friendship, had finally come to a complete end.

This was true for both Tomatsu Tomoka and Yamami Maki.

Yamami Maki stared at the dark ceiling. She hadn't turned on the lights either, and the curtains were drawn in the room, so she couldn't see the light and shadow of the rain. She could only hear the dense sound of rain falling.

The girl's afternoon nap had long ended, and her fever had subsided. Instead of getting out of bed immediately as usual, she silently stared blankly with her eyes open.

She didn't sleep well last night either; her dreams were filled with Tomatsu Yuka's sobbing questions, and the sight of her junior crying so hard woke Yamami Maki countless times.

Did Yuka go to school today? The thought flashed through the girl's mind, and then she remembered that her phone, which was on her bedside table, seemed to have received a message notification.

A pale arm emerged from under the covers. It hesitated for a moment before picking up the phone from the bedside table. The cool glow of the screen illuminated the girl's face.

Jun Matsue sent a message inquiring about her health, along with greetings from other classmates. The rabbit avatar in the chat list did not flash.

Yamami Maki breathed a sigh of relief, but at the same time felt guilty for relaxing herself. She could only reply to Matsueda Jun's message in an attempt to numb herself.

"Thank you, Songzhi. I just woke up, and my fever has almost gone down. I should be fine."

The boy replied quickly, "I just got home too, and I'm about to have lunch."

"Huh?" The girl on the bed exclaimed in surprise. It was almost two o'clock already, how come Matsueda-kun had only just arrived home?

The next message in the chat box quickly answered her question: "Tomatsu contacted me."

Startled, Yamami Maki covered her phone with the blanket, only picking it up again a few seconds later.

"I'm not feeling well today, and I don't want to talk about this on the phone. Will you be coming to school tomorrow?"

"It will come."

"Let's talk about it when we meet tomorrow?"

"Okay, thank you, Songzhi."

It was "Thank you, Matsueda-kun" again. Matsueda Jun, on the other end of the line, looked at the message on his phone and sighed.
It seems that Tomatsu's matter is starting to affect his senior's attitude. He stuffed the rice ball he bought from the convenience store into his mouth and chewed it haphazardly.

Yamami Maki is someone who likes to compromise herself for the sake of others, and Matsueda Jun knows this well. Although this senior is excellent and cute, he still hopes that the girl can choose to be true to her own heart.

The desire for love is always manifested in changing oneself for the sake of others, or changing others for the sake of oneself.

So Jun Matsueda wanted to color Maki Yami's life with his own colors, and if the senior hesitated, he would help her make up her mind.

Feeling a bit dry in his mouth, he walked to the refrigerator, took out a milk, took a big gulp, and then stood there in a daze.

What will tomorrow bring? Even though Jun Matsueda had made up his mind, he still felt somewhat lost.

The boy turned to look out onto the balcony, where a howling typhoon was fiercely battering the city.

The chaotic storm has engulfed them.
