Chapter 551 The Fried Rice Dispute

Chapter 551 The Fried Rice Dispute
After putting the last bite of fried rice into his mouth, Jun Matsue, adhering to the spirit of not wasting anything, used a spoon to scrape up the remaining rice grains on the plate.

"Have you eaten enough, Pine Branch?" Natsumi Imokawa placed a glass of milk in front of him, and she was very pleased with the boy's attitude of not leaving a single grain of rice.

"If that's not enough, I have more here, I can share them with you."

Just as the girl was about to pick up her plate, Jun Matsueda quickly refused.

"That's enough, I'm full." He took a sip of milk. "It tastes great, take your time, no need to rush."

The plate in front of him was a size larger than Imokawa's; the girl had deliberately served him a lot more.

"That's good." Natsumi Imokawa nodded and continued eating. "I've known how to make fried rice since middle school, so it'll definitely taste good~"

Does this girl drink milk like water? Jun Matsueda wondered, watching her eat fried rice and drink milk at the same time.

Back in Hokkaido, Imokawa also really liked banana milk.

After watching the girl eat for a while, Jun Matsueda's phone vibrated in his pocket. It was a message from Haruka Mochizuki.

"Get up."

Another picture shows a pizza with rich sauce on a table. A girl is showing her small hand, picking up a slice of pizza. Not far away, on the ground, is Jinzhi, who has her head buried in a cat bowl.

It seems both cats have eaten lunch, the boy tapped his fingers on the screen.

"There's still milk in the fridge, remember to drink it."

"Oh." Mochizuki Haruka seemed to have gone to get the milk, and replied a while later, "What did Matsue have for lunch?"

Jun Matsue took a picture of the CD in front of her and sent it to her. He made a point of not including Natsumi Imokawa, who was sitting opposite him wearing an apron, in the picture.

The girl returned his question with a question mark, "Is your lunch a plate?"

"The fried rice is all gone."

"Did you make this for Imokawa Natsumi?" she asked warily.

The boy looked up at the girl opposite him again; Imokawa was almost finished eating.

"It's made by Yuchuan, and it tastes pretty good."

"Buy some ingredients for fried rice this afternoon, and I'll cook it for you too," Mochizuki Haruka replied immediately.

Jun Matsue smiled, and Natsumi Imokawa, who was drinking milk, blinked. "What's Jun Matsue laughing at?"

"It's nothing." He sent Wangyue a "received" emoji, then put down his phone. "Shall we continue recording after dinner?"

The girl, with a spoon in her mouth, pondered, "Hmm... I'll rest for a bit. I need to wash the dishes first."

"I'll do the dishes," Jun Matsue said, standing up. "Didn't Imagawa not get enough sleep last night? You should rest a bit more."

"Huh?" Natsumi Imokawa wanted to refuse, but the boy had already picked up the plate and walked into the kitchen.

Watching his back as he turned on the tap, the girl lowered her head, and the food in her mouth seemed to taste even better.

Natsumi Imokawa was right; fried rice is indeed very convenient. Jun Matsueda washed the dishes in less than ten minutes and also helped Imokawa wipe down the stove and range hood.

When he dried his hands and walked out of the kitchen, the worktable was gone, and the light in the living room was much dimmer. The boy walked towards the sofa.

Natsumi Imokawa was lying on her side on the sofa, her black hair loose, and the drawn curtains cast an uneven shadow on her body, which swayed slightly with the girl's breathing.

Jun Matsue sat down at her feet and leaned over to look at the girl's face, which was a peaceful and serene sleeping face.

Imokawa's phone, which was lying next to him, was still lit up, displaying a message in the chat box.

"Pine Branch, please wake me up in half an hour! You must wake me up!"

The boy smiled helplessly; the girl was far too diligent, not even wanting to take a long nap.

Half an hour later, Jun Matsue shook the arm that Natsumi Imokawa had on her waist.

"Imokawa, wake up."

"Mmm..." The girl made a muffled sound. She didn't open her eyes, but just turned over and continued to lie down. Her two little feet, which were originally hanging off the sofa, were placed on the boy's legs.

"Imokawa?" He shook her arm again, but this time there was no response.

“…This guy.” Jun Matsue looked at his delicate, fair feet on his legs and covered them with his hands.

The tickling on the soles of her feet immediately woke Natsumi Imokawa up. The girl subconsciously pulled her legs back, sat up, and looked at the boy in front of her.

"What is Matsueda doing?" She looked blankly at him, having just woken up. Matsueda Jun raised his hand to show his innocence, "I called you several times but couldn't wake you, so I tickled your foot."

"Oh..." she rubbed her eyes, "It's already one o'clock?"

"One o'clock and three minutes."

"Okay~" She stood up, pulled back the curtains, stretched out a big yawn, and her graceful body curves were bathed in sunlight.

"I'll continue recording after I wash my face!"

The recording session in the afternoon went very smoothly. Jun Matsue finished the task in an hour and then played some games with the girl.

"Matsushige, Matsushige, what's next?" Natsumi Imokawa asked excitedly, sitting in front of the computer and holding the controller.

She usually watches movies alone at home, so the novelty and fun of playing games with someone else is like watching "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" after watching "Cardcaptor Sakura"—so even though she gets flustered and killed by zombies several times, the girl is still having a blast.

"Hmm... let me check the time." Jun Matsue took out his phone. It was a little past three o'clock. After taking the bus home and then going to the supermarket to buy groceries, he wouldn't get back to his apartment until almost four o'clock.

"Let's finish building the house first, I still need to buy groceries to go home."

It was called a house, but it was really just a matchbox that the two of them built.

"Ah." The girl glanced at the time. "It's already three o'clock? How come it's so fast!"

The boy smiled and said, "That's how it is when you play games; time flies by in the blink of an eye."

"Then I should play fewer games in the future. I don't have enough time to begin with..." Natsumi Imokawa muttered to herself, staring at the screen.

Despite saying this, the girl secretly slowed down the pace of building the roof.

At 3:20, the sound of a door opening echoed in the quiet corridor on the eleventh floor. Jun Matsue stepped out of the door and turned to look at the girl standing in the entryway.

"I'm leaving?"

"Oh..." Natsumi Imokawa nodded reluctantly. "Um, Matsue, don't forget about the recording later."

"Then next time I come, don't oversleep again," the boy said with a smile.

The girl blushed, hurriedly waved to the boy, and then closed the door.

After boarding the tram and entering the supermarket, it was already past four o'clock in the afternoon when Jun Matsue knocked on the door of room 506.

Light footsteps sounded behind the door, which opened to reveal Mochizuki Haruka's languid face.

"You're back too late!" she said with displeasure, carrying the cat in her arms as she walked next door.

"It's only a little past four o'clock..."

Jun Matsue, carrying two plastic bags, raised his arm, allowing the girl to take out her keys from her pocket and open the door.

He could have come back earlier, but the supermarket was having a sale on eggs today, and the checkout area was full of housewives queuing up to pay.

The two entered the apartment. Mochizuki Haruka released the cat from her arms and let it fall freely, then reached out and took the bag from the boy's hand.

"I'll make you fried rice for dinner tonight. I asked the maid for the recipe this afternoon."

Matsueda Jun's lips curved into a slight smile. "Then I'll assist you."

The girl went into the kitchen, tied on an apron, placed her phone on the stove, and opened a video sent by her maid.

"Speaking of which, after Songzhi left this morning, I had a rather interesting dream."

"What dream?" The boy blinked.

“You’ve turned into an ugly cat, and I can do whatever I want with you.” Mochizuki Haruka made a kneading dough gesture.

"The kind of control that I can mold and shape at will."

"If only reality were like this."

The girl rolled her eyes at him, then tied her hair into a high ponytail and picked up a kitchen knife.

"I'll wash the vegetables for you," Jun Matsue said with a smile as he walked up to her.

The rather long Golden Week holiday ended with a bowl of Wangyue's secret-recipe fried rice.

As for whose fried rice tastes better, Jun Matsue believes that this remains to be verified.

Tonight is my dad's birthday, so the second update might be delayed, meow.
