Chapter 18 Scalpel
Zhou Yi leaned against the wall and fired several shots into the corridor.

The gun barrels spewed fire, preventing the enemy from getting close for a time.

He gestured to Gina, immediately put away his gun, and ran desperately into the distance.

Upon hearing the gunfire cease, the enemies inside the club began to advance again.

A few seconds later, the first figure emerged from behind the door.

The bullets whistled past the two men's heads.

With the corner just around the corner, Zhou Yi didn't slow down and leaped into the alley on the left.

Gina followed closely behind, practically tumbling and crawling as she rushed over, grabbing the wall for support and panting heavily.

"Let's go find the car."

Without giving her time to rest, Zhou Yi started running again as soon as he finished speaking.

Finally, after passing the third intersection, the club's main entrance appeared.

The sunlight was blinding, and four pickup trucks were parked at the bottom of the steps, with makeshift shooting racks mounted on their roofs.

The two security guards who had been hypnotizing themselves are now both corpses, lying motionless at the entrance.

Fresh blood gushed from the bullet hole in his chest.

Zhou Yi casually tossed aside the rifle in his hand and hopped on the motorcycle parked nearby.

Gina then flipped over and sat in the back seat, gripping the back of the car tightly with both hands.

With a twist of the throttle, the motorcycle shot forward instantly.

Weaving through the narrow streets, the screeching sound of tires grinding against the pavement filled my ears.

The buildings on both sides rushed past, blurring into pale gray shadows.

However, the good times did not last long.

Gunfire erupted again, several bullets whizzing past the rear of the car, sending sparks flying.

Zhou Yi's expression changed drastically. He quickly glanced at the rearview mirror, and a thought flashed through his mind—Damn it, there's a GPS tracker.

From the thermobaric bomb to stitching up the wound, and now to the escape, only forty minutes have passed.

Given the poor intelligence support technology of Brazilian law enforcement agencies, it's impossible for the enemy to have come knocking on their door so quickly.

The grenade in the interrogation room must have destroyed all the tracking devices on his body.

Therefore, the problem must lie with Gina.

Zhou Yi turned his head to the side, his voice cutting through the howling wind: "Is there a subway station nearby?"

Gina looked around and blurted out, "Yes! Turn left at the intersection ahead, 300 meters ahead!"

"Hold on tight!"

With the warning, the speed increased again, and the motorcycle sped along almost skimming the ground.

The subway station sign gradually came into view; it was a rusty iron sign.

The surrounding walls were covered with illegally posted advertising posters, almost completely obscuring the original light blue paint.

At the entrance, the simple metal railings swayed precariously.

With the assassins hot on his heels, Zhou Yi had no choice but to floor the accelerator and speed down the stairs.

The roar of the engine suddenly exploded in the narrow passage.

Passersby scattered in panic, screams mingled with footsteps, and the scene was chaotic.

As he approached the end of the stairs, Zhou Yi used the momentum of the downhill slope to violently crash into the ticket gate.

"boom!"

The metal crossbar made a piercing cracking sound, and parts shattered and flew everywhere.

Several staff members nearby were stunned.

The train made a sharp turn in the station hall and then headed back towards the platform.

A subway train was parked nearby, its doors emitting a rapid closing warning sound.

Without the slightest hesitation, Zhou Yi slammed on the brakes.

Before the motorcycle had even come to a complete stop, he jumped off, grabbed Gina's wrist, and quickly scrambled into the subway.

The carriage fell silent instantly. The passengers stared helplessly at the two who had barged in.

The woman was wearing only a vest, and her pants were covered in dust and dried blood.

The man next to her looked like he had just retreated from a battlefield.

His face was pale, and fresh blood seeped through the bandage on his left arm. A pistol was tucked into his waistband.

"what!"

Someone let out a short scream first, and the rest of the crowd immediately reacted, desperately surging towards both ends.

The carriage was instantly half empty.

Only a few daring passengers remained, hiding in a corner and secretly observing them.

Gina stood there and gave them an awkward smile, but Zhou Yi suddenly spoke up at that moment: "Take off your clothes."

"Huh?" Gina was stunned for a moment, then stared at Zhou Yi with wide eyes.

“You have a GPS tracker on you,” Zhou Yi explained succinctly. “We’ll have to leave the subway sooner or later, and the signal jamming time is limited.”

"How did you know?"

"Because Alvaro's men caught up too quickly."

“After leaving the club, I deliberately avoided all direct routes. They didn’t have a helicopter, but they were still able to pinpoint our location within two minutes.”

"Maybe it was just good luck?"

"Do you believe that finding someone is based on luck?" Zhou Yi sneered twice. "Besides, I only got involved in this mess yesterday, while you are different."

"I?"

"Have you forgotten your benefactor? You were betrayed from the very beginning."

Gina's expression froze: "But there are so many people here!"

"Bullets don't chase people, but signals do. If the locator isn't removed, we're sitting ducks."

After a few seconds of stalemate, Gina finally gave in, went to a corner, and, suppressing her shame, unbuttoned her clothes.

Without wasting any words, Zhou Yi quickly followed and began checking her clothes.

Cuffs, lining, seams.
Next, I turned the pants inside out and started from the lining in the pockets, feeling along the seams inch by inch.

Got nothing.

Gina breathed a sigh of relief, her blush still lingering: "I knew it, there was nothing there."

Zhou Yi seemed to have anticipated this outcome and gestured for Gina to turn around.

The passengers who remained in the carriage gathered together, secretly watching what was happening.

The man stood on the outside, blocking most of the view, but Gina's bare shoulders could still be seen.

Ignoring the curious stares of passersby, Zhou Yi gently pressed his hand on the back of her neck and slid it down along the spine.

Gina's body trembled slightly.

The calluses on the man's fingertips were rough, carrying a certain warmth that made one's heart flutter inexplicably.

Her breathing became rapid involuntarily, and her ears felt slightly hot. She wanted to move away, but dared not, and could only stand stiffly in place.

There's something here.

Zhou Yi's voice suddenly rang out, like a bucket of cold water, extinguishing all the beautiful thoughts.

His fingers stopped at her lower back.

Gina paused for half a second, then subconsciously reached out to touch it, but felt nothing: "I don't know. I've never noticed it before."

"Have you had surgery before? The kind with general anesthesia?" Zhou Yi pressed hard on the edge of the abnormal area with his fingertips.

It has a hard texture and a regular shape.

"I had a laparoscopic appendectomy a few years ago, which was done under general anesthesia."

Before he could finish speaking, Zhou Yi had already pulled a scalpel out of his pocket.

The cool touch against her skin made Gina's pupils shrink slightly, and she instinctively turned around: "Where did you come from?"

Zhou Yi gestured for her to turn her back again: "These are Valentina's things, don't worry, they're brand new."
