Chapter 40 Door-to-Door Delivery
Chapter 40 Door-to-Door Delivery
"Bang! Bang!"
Two deafening explosions came from ahead.
The tall man instinctively raised his head and touched the pistol at his waist.
Not long after, the cabin announcement was turned on.
"This is your captain. Due to an emergency on board, we will be making an emergency landing at San Juan Airport in Puerto Rico."
"Please lower your window shades, fasten your seatbelts, and remain calm."
Upon hearing this, the tall man frowned and muttered under his breath, "Damn, why does this sound like a hijacking?"
The surrounding passengers all snapped back to reality, exchanging bewildered glances, a sense of panic beginning to spread.
Sensing an opportunity, his companion licked his lips and narrowed his eyes: "Damn it, let's finish the mission first. Those two are probably in business class, we can take advantage of the chaos to make our move."
Once they made up their minds, the two quickly got up and moved forward.
Upon entering the business class section, it was unusually empty.
An elderly couple sat by the window, looking very nervous.
The woman gripped her handbag tightly, her knuckles turning white from the force.
The tall man glanced at them but didn't stop walking.
Damn, this shouldn't be happening.
We still haven't found those two people.
After thinking for a moment, he continued forward and lifted the curtain hanging in the food preparation area.
Outside the cockpit, a blonde flight attendant leaned against the partition, looking dazed.
The tall man stopped and stared intently at her: "You seem to know something."
The flight attendant blinked, and the buzzing in her ears intensified.
She wasn't sure if she had actually heard the sounds from outside, and could only guess what the man was saying by reading his lips:
"Sir, please return to your seat and follow the captain's instructions."
His frustration intensified, and the tall man no longer hesitated. He pulled out a pistol from his waist and pointed it directly at her forehead.
"Stop the fucking bullshit!"
"I'm asking you one last time, isn't this a hijacking? Why are we going to Puerto Rico?!"
The flight attendant was momentarily incredulous when she saw the gun barrel, but then she suddenly snapped back to reality.
Her face was deathly pale, her legs were weak, and she tried to say something.
Seeing this, the tall man completely lost his patience.
Are you fucking deaf?
As soon as he finished speaking, he slammed the gun into the flight attendant's face.
"what--!"
The flight attendant screamed as blood instantly seeped from her wound.
"Speak up, or I'll kill you!" the tall man shouted.
Tears welled in her eyes, and after a long pause, the flight attendant finally managed to utter a few broken syllables:
"In the cockpit, there was a man and a woman."
The tall man and his companion exchanged a glance and revealed a cruel smile.
Without thinking, he pushed open the slightly ajar door to the cockpit.
However, the moment he stepped inside, he suddenly caught a glimpse of a dark shadow flashing by in the corner of his eye.
The tall man instinctively raised his gun, but his wrist was firmly held.
The next second, Zhou Yi leaned in close and slammed his elbow into the side of his neck.
"boom!"
The violent impact made the tall man's vision go black, and his finger weakly released the trigger, causing the gun to fall to the ground.
Without giving him a chance to catch his breath, Zhou Yi moved forward and kicked the outside of his knee.
"Crack!"
The joints dislocated, causing the tall man to lose his balance and fall to his knees.
Zhou Yi seized the opportunity, grabbed his chin with her left hand, and gripped the back of his skull with her right hand, then twisted it sharply.
"Click."
The tall man's cervical spine was dislocated, and his body twitched twice before going completely limp and collapsing to the ground silently.
At the same time, his companion had just stepped into the cockpit when the scene before him horrified him.
However, before he could react, he felt a heaviness in his chest.
The impact caused him to stagger backward.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Zhou Yi leaned down, reached under the man's armpit, grabbed his wrist with her right hand, and pressed down on him.
"Crack!"
The elbow was broken in the reverse direction. The man gasped in pain and was about to struggle when Zhou Yi drew his pistol from its holster.
Immediately afterwards, he grabbed the other person's hair.
Zhou Yi turned the gun muzzle with one hand, pressed the front of the slide against the edge of the belt, and pushed hard.
"Click."
Bullets loaded.
The man's head was forcibly lifted, his neck tensed, and his eyes revealed terror.
"puff."
The silencer made a muffled sound.
The man's skull was pierced, and a cloud of blood exploded at the back of his head.
Inside the cockpit, the captain and first officer were completely stunned.
Witnessing a highly efficient killing that lasted less than ten seconds, the two seemed frozen, even their breathing became slightly lighter.
The stench of blood permeated the small space, thick and heavy.
Zhou Yisong tossed the body aside and easily sat back down in his seat.
"You're welcome. I'm here to protect you from a second hijacking."
The captain's Adam's apple bobbed slightly, but he didn't dare to utter a sound.
The co-pilot stared blankly at the corpse on the ground, as if he had lost his soul.
"Now, before any of those annoying guys bother me again, I'll go tell air traffic control my request."
As Zhou Yi spoke, he tucked the pistol behind his waist.
The captain took a breath, glanced down at the radio, and shakily pressed the talk button, trying his best to remain calm.
"Delta 60, requesting a call, we have received new instructions."
After a brief silence, the controller's voice rang out.
"Delta 60, please explain the situation."
"The hijackers demanded that reporters board the plane after it lands and broadcast live, otherwise..."
At the same time, Gina was squatting in front of the two corpses, flipping open the collar of one of them and carefully examining the tattoo on his neck.
"Judging from the insignia, these two are professional gunmen. Without a doubt, they were sent by Alvaro."
"I just don't know how they got their location."
Zhou Yi shrugged, his right arm around the TAC-50 that was stuck to the ground.
"I guess something went wrong on Teixeira's end, but it won't affect the plan anyway."
"No, I should thank them."
"Knowing my weakness, they specially sent someone to deliver a suitable weapon to my door."
Virginia, North American Aerospace Defense Command - Eastern Air Defense Command Center.
Eastern Standard Time, 1:30 AM.
"Viper One has entered the escort position. The target flight remains stable with no abnormal maneuvers."
The air defense operations commander, a colonel, stared at the radar echoes on the screen.
The label for flight number Delta 60 slowly moved forward on the screen, followed closely by the labels for two F-15S fighter jets taking off from Homestead Air Force Base in Florida.
"Viper One, received."
The lieutenant colonel standing next to him immediately turned to look at the combat duty commander.
"They strictly followed the flight plan and did not deviate from the route."
"Continue to monitor the situation and remind the pilots to observe the cabin doors, windows, fuselage structure, and passenger activity inside the cabin. Report any abnormalities immediately."
At this moment, a major in charge of intelligence analysis suddenly interrupted.
"We have just received an update from the Federal Aviation Administration that the hijackers claim to have planted bombs on the plane and will detonate them on the ground if their demands are not met."
Has the threat been confirmed?
“It cannot be confirmed at this time.”
"There was no secondary communication, nor any external intelligence to confirm its authenticity."
The lieutenant colonel frowned and asked in a low voice, "What are our current plans?"
“Once the threat is confirmed, shooting down a flight is tantamount to choosing a bombing site.”
"Moreover, if they have remote control devices, they can still manually detonate it even if it is intercepted."
The colonel pondered for a moment, his gaze sweeping across the command post, and slowly said, "Notify the White House National Security Advisor."
"At this stage, we cannot rule out the existence of the bomb, so we must assume they are capable of carrying it out until intelligence confirms otherwise."
