Chapter 62 disappeared

The night was deep, and a warm breeze rustled the palm trees, causing their branches and leaves to sway and cast dappled shadows on the ground.

The desert heat was alleviated by the flowing water mist within the manor.

Golden halos refracted on the fountain, floating in the air, like a dream.

The banquet was in full swing in the garden.

The woman leaned back on a chaise lounge covered with a white velvet carpet, her skirt draped loosely, revealing her long legs, her bare feet resting on the marble floor.

The man beside her had one arm around her waist and the other holding a glass of champagne. He leaned down slightly and whispered something in her ear.

The woman chuckled and turned her head, her fingertips sliding smoothly up his chest, her red nails slowly moving down the buttons of his shirt.

The waiter not far away had an indifferent expression.

On the silver tray in his hand were dates, hummus, slices of dried beef, and baklava dessert sprinkled with crushed pistachios.

"Coman just sent someone to deliver a message."

Ivana looked around and said in a slightly lowered voice.

Three women stood at the edge of the courtyard, with a cobblestone path covered in fine sand behind them.

"What could he possibly want?" Valentina took a sip of her drink, clearly annoyed at being suddenly called over.

"He said the man from last night wanted to see us."

Upon hearing this, Valentina immediately frowned and turned to look at Anastasia, who had remained silent.

The woman wore a long black dress, with a diamond necklace adorning her collarbone.

Her fingers traced the rim of the wine glass, her gaze unfocused, as if she wasn't listening to the conversation at all.

“He passed out last night, didn’t he?” Ivana said to herself when no one responded.

“We were terrified, so we left quickly. Hopefully nothing will happen, since he seems to be alright now.”

“Don’t fucking ask me, how the hell am I supposed to know?” Valentina interrupted her rudely. “What else did he say?”

Ivana took a deep breath, rolled her eyes inwardly, and tried her best to suppress the urge to retort. She patiently said:
"Coman simply told us to go see him, that's all."

The atmosphere suddenly became somber.

Anastasia finally raised her head, just about to say something.

But just then, a deep voice sounded from behind them.

“You, Anastasia, come with me.”

The three turned around and saw a man in a black suit standing in the distance. He was broad-shouldered and muscular, with a cold expression on his face.

Suddenly called out, Anastasia looked stiffly at Valentina and Ivana, trying to find an excuse to decline.

"But we have plans for tonight—"

"The master specifically requested that you go and serve this important guest. Nothing is more important than this." The man interrupted her, his expression leaving no room for argument, and beckoned her with his finger, signaling her to follow.

Anastasia's shoulders tensed even more.

She wanted to say something more, but the man urged her repeatedly, "Hurry up, you've wasted too much time. Come upstairs with me."

“You go first, I’ll explain to Koman.” Ivana smiled reassuringly at her, trying to put her at ease.

Anastasia's eyes darted around for a moment, but she finally nodded and walked towards the man.

But after taking a few steps, as if she had finally made up her mind, she suddenly jogged back to Ivana's side.

"Be careful of that man," she whispered a warning.

Ivana was taken aback: "What's wrong?"

Anastasia hesitated for a moment: "That man...something strange has happened to him. I haven't told anyone, but you must be careful."

The man in the suit had completely lost his patience. He strode over, grabbed her wrist, and said firmly, "Let's go."

Anastasia was forced to take a step, but before being dragged away, she quickened her pace and uttered her last sentence:

"After you left, I went back for one last look, and the man suddenly disappeared from the room."

Ivana looked extremely confused: "Disappeared? What do you mean?"

But Anastasia had no chance to answer. She was roughly pulled by the man and walked up the corridor.

Ivana stood there, staring blankly in the direction where the two had disappeared. The next second, Valentina interrupted her thoughts with her voice.

"Stop fucking looking. She's better looking than you. There's no use in envying her."

"Let's hurry up and go, don't keep Koman's distinguished guests waiting."

Coming to her senses, Ivana, who had been holding back for a while, couldn't help but glance at her with a cold smile, then turned and left first.

Outside the suite, Ivana hesitated for a moment before raising her hand and knocking on the door.

"Please come in."

A man's voice sounded.

Ivana pushed open the slightly ajar door and went inside.

Valentina followed closely behind.

The room was softly lit and luxuriously decorated.

The Asian man leaned back on the sofa, looking relaxed, and squinted as he smoked.

After seeing them come in, he casually stubbed out his cigarette and then ordered, "Close the door."

Despite their earlier unpleasantness, Ivana and Valentina exchanged a glance before turning and closing the door.

Zhou Yi stood up, walked towards them, and said gently, "Sit down."

He pointed to two chairs in the corner of the room.

Unable to discern the man's emotions, the two women were unsure how to react and could only awkwardly comply.

While they were sitting down, Zhou Yi had already walked to the door and locked it from the inside.

Click.

The clanging of metal was exceptionally clear in the quiet room.

Ivana shuddered, involuntarily recalling Anastasia's warning.

She subconsciously bit her lip, feeling uneasy.

At this moment, Zhou Yi's gaze fell on Ivana, and he chuckled softly.

"It seems you know why I'm here."

It’s over.

Ivana's heart began to pound uncontrollably, and her nails dug into her palms.

"What?"

Her voice trembled as she tried to play dumb.

Valentina was completely confused and looked at the two of them hesitantly: "What does she know? What are you talking about?"

Zhou Yi ignored her and switched to Russian, continuing to speak to Ivana: "Tell me, madam, I promise nothing will happen."

Ivana's expression changed completely.

"No, no," she pleaded, tears streaming down her face.

Valentina was completely intimidated: "Ivana, what the hell do you know? Tell me!"

Ivana bit her lip and shook her head desperately.

Then, she suddenly stood up and tried to rush to the door.

"do not do that."

As Zhou Yi spoke, he grabbed her arm and gently shook it off.

Ivana's body slammed against the edge of the bed, and the pain forced her to scream.

Valentina was so startled by the sudden turn of events that she stood frozen in place, unable to utter a single word.

Zhou Yi slowly approached, looked down at Ivana on the ground, and asked calmly, "Tell me, who else knows?"

Ivana's face was streaked with tears as she frantically shook her head: "No... I didn't tell anyone. Only Anastasia and I."
