Chapter 1080 The Insidious Neon Lights
"What's on your mind? Don't hold back, just say what you want to say!" After his battle with the Zhongshan sisters, John breathed a sigh of relief, and the pressure in his heart dissipated. Sumitomo had come prepared, and John had put in a lot of effort in 'negotiations' with these guys.

"Yasuko-nee and Senri-chan want to leave!" After taking a deep breath, Nakayama Miho spoke her mind. She originally thought John would be very angry, after all, this wasn't the first time Sawaguchi Yasuko had made a mistake, and this time she wanted to leave again, which would easily provoke John's anger, at least in Nakayama Miho's mind. If it were those guys from Japan, they would definitely teach Sawaguchi Yasuko a good lesson.

John smiled calmly and said, "Do you think I'll get angry and do something against them? You're overthinking it. I knew this would happen from the beginning. I can even ignore Norika Fujiwara, do you think I'd care about their leaving? I've said it before, it's your freedom, I won't stop you. I suspect they saw Riko's situation and that's why they had this idea. Let them be, don't worry about it!"

Is this merely a matter of personal will? Probably not. There's an unseen scheme behind it all, a scheme unknown even to Sawaguchi Yasuko and Moritaka Chisato. They've been used as pawns. John has no intention of investigating any of this; there's no need. Just as he could let Fujiwara Norika go, he could let these two go as well. Those guys were merely using this to test his reaction. It's safe to say that the Japanese are incredibly cunning and shameless!

“Then I want to leave too, and you won’t stop me?” Miho Nakayama suddenly said this, and her words shocked Nakayama Shinobu, a hint of worry showing in his eyes.

"No, like I said, it's your freedom. So many years have passed, and you've all developed your own ideas. I don't need to stop you, do I? Your life is in your own hands!"

"I thought you would stop us. Are we sisters so unattractive that you wouldn't even try to keep us?" When she heard John's answer, Miho Nakayama was quite surprised, somewhat incredulous, and even a little disappointed.

"This isn't a question of whether it's attractive or not; it's a problem with you two. Do you think I should try to keep you if you're already thinking about leaving? Forcing things won't work, and it might even be 'dangerous'!" Remembering how Bill Gates got tricked, John naturally had to be cautious. Since they were already considering leaving, it was best to let them go. This was good for both of them; there was no need to cling on desperately.

"If Akiko-nee and Sachiko-chan had the same idea, would you stop them?"

As Miho Nakayama's words became increasingly absurd, John shook his head and sighed, "You don't need to do so many tests; it's completely unnecessary because what you're saying is utterly unfounded. Akiko and Sachiko, even Akina and Momoko, are all different. Of course, there's also Naoko. You've been overthinking things from the start. Such words would never come from their mouths. In contrast, you, Yasuko Sawaguchi, and Chisato Moritaka are completely different people. Yasuko Sawaguchi has resisted from the beginning, perhaps because of her beauty. Beauty gives her immense confidence, even if it's just a temporary compromise, but deep down she still resists because her compromise is under the pressure of the environment. You and Chisato Moritaka are not much different. Perhaps it's something you developed from childhood, but both of you are unwilling to accept it, even if you took the initiative. Of course, this is also related to Norika Fujiwara. You all saw that she could escape unscathed without being affected at all, so you had such thoughts. I can understand and accept all of that."

John thought it was all a joke that those Japanese guys kept trying to take advantage of him when it came to women. Perhaps this was the consequence of his carefree and charming lifestyle. While maintaining this persona, he also had to bear the trouble it brought him, especially since those shameless guys in Japan could keep scheming in this area. After all, it didn't matter to them as long as they achieved their goals.

In this respect, Japan is no less capable than South Korea; they just do it more discreetly, avoiding media exposure, while South Korea is easily caught red-handed. Of course, the US is no exception, but these countries are currently hiding very well, and those outside the circle aren't entirely aware, while those within the circle know perfectly well!
"How can I let you leave if you think I'm heartless? Don't overthink things. Whether it's you or Shinobu, you can leave if you want. There's no need to worry. The agency won't be affected, and as long as you don't do anything too crazy, no one will target you. Finally, a word of advice: don't put yourself in Fujiwara Norika's position. You're different. She doesn't have any problems right now because she has a secret. Even the most foolish guys won't target her in the short term. After everything passes, things might be different." John was well aware of the schemes of those Japanese guys. If Fujiwara Norika got into trouble now, wouldn't they be exposing themselves? In comparison, if Sawaguchi Yasuko, Moritaka Chisato, or even Nakayama Miho wanted to leave, the trouble would be much less. After all, different situations naturally lead to different outcomes. However, John wouldn't be too explicit about these things; everything was up to Nakayama Miho to understand.

"I still can't understand what's the difference between us sisters and them?" Seeing John so calm, Nakayama Miho became bolder and wanted to figure out the difference between them, because she hadn't fully understood John's words and didn't understand the gap between herself and Kuroki Hitomi and the others.

"Let me put it this way: ambition. You and Chisato Moritaka's ambitions are misplaced. Your perspectives are flawed. What choices did Momoko Kikuchi make? What choices did you make? Can you do what Momoko did—give up everything before your idol days are completely over? Can you go back to school and learn like her? As for Akiko, she's from Takarazuka and also had ambition, but now she's chosen to settle down. In terms of vision and wisdom, you're not on the same level as her. Sachiko is the same as you; she's just obsessed, obsessed with music, and she's very similar to Naoko. As for Akina, although her family is holding her back, it's not a big deal, at least not to me. Also, you've forgotten something even more important: my personal opinion!"

John shook his head, admitting that he was only good-tempered now; in the past, he probably wouldn't have been so. Over a decade had passed, and he had changed. Beauty is certainly admirable, but it doesn't last forever; character, mindset, and wisdom are far more important. Unfortunately, Miho Nakayama didn't understand this. Perhaps it was related to her background—early fame without much hardship had shaped her into who she is today.

John believed that Shinobu Nakayama would not say such "foolish things," much less that Sachiko Kamachi would. Sachiko was foolish, not stupid; Akina had experienced too much; Naoko was just like that because of her personality; Hitomi Kuroki was a result of her mindset; and Momoko was a result of her intelligence and wisdom.

With such situations occurring one after another, even John, with his slow-wittedness, would understand that someone must be orchestrating this, and the timing of these events carries significant implications. It seems there are still quite a few people in Japan who are dissatisfied with him and can't stand him making money, especially from them.

Miho Nakayama, Yasuko Sawaguchi, and Chisato Moritaka all share a common trait: their relationships with Riko are not very close, and they rarely even meet. They never take the initiative to discuss things with Riko, as they are more concerned with their own 'careers' and do not consider the hidden dangers behind them, since all the dangers are borne by the agency. In contrast, Momoko Kikuchi is much more astute, and even Sachiko is much better than them. The three of them are arrogant, while Momoko and Sachiko are more humane.

What's meant to happen will happen eventually; there's no stopping it, and it's pointless to do so. Since it was all their own decision, they should bear the consequences themselves. There's only so much I can do. People's hearts are fickle; saying too much is bad, but saying nothing is also bad. If you can't see the situation clearly, or even yourself clearly, then this is the only way.

A person must recognize their own limitations. If they cannot even do this, then it is only natural that they will end up in a tragic situation. If one cannot recognize the reality of the world, then no amount of persuasion will help them. In the end, they will still go down a path of no return, and no one can save them. Therefore, John does not care about Miho Nakayama's thoughts, nor does he want to change anything. She has to walk her own path and face the consequences herself. The future is in her own hands, not in the hands of others!

In contrast, Shinobu Nakayama seemed to have a slight understanding, but her experience was too limited to truly comprehend John's words and grasp their underlying meaning; she only had a vague feeling about them. However, she understood one thing: her sister had made a mistake, but there was no way to change it now.
