Warhammer 40: Doom
Chapter 3 The Arrival of the Gods
Chapter 3 The Arrival of the Gods
Doom!
This man is no ordinary person; revealing his name can stop the demons from howling at night.
He is the embodiment of power, the nightmare of enemies, the incarnation of destruction. Dealing with the warp is like returning home, incredibly familiar.
Putting everything else aside, dealing with warp demons is a piece of cake for them, something they can do with ease and feel completely at ease with.
His strength is naturally extraordinary; he single-handedly conquers countless dimensions, trampling angels underfoot and tearing demons apart with his bare hands.
He slaughtered demons for countless eons, reduced the population of Hell to dwindling, destroyed Heaven and killed gods, and finally brought an end to the multiverse-level creator, "The Dark Lord".
The Cricket Subspace? A single glance from it can kill a whole horde of demons, and a low growl can make monsters tremble in fear.
Upon seeing this elder brother, Khorne bowed down in reverence, Slaanesh was gentle and lovely, Tzeentch was no longer wise, and Nurgle went home to grow vegetables.
"Don't try to take advantage of the fully-powered Doom Slayer. This is just an insignificant fragment that fell into the cosmic void during his battle with the Dark Lord."
The system immediately saw through the chaotic and trembling thoughts in the former host's soul and struck without hesitation.
Du Mu swallowed hard, his heart pounding again after he had just relaxed, and he couldn't hold back any longer: "Then what are you going to do with it?"
This system has repeatedly tried to cleanse me up, and it's extremely unreliable, starting something only to abandon me in the end. How could I have trusted this piece of trash in the first place? What was the point of playing this time-travel game?
"Incompleteness is also the pure essence of the Doom Slayer; though faint, it carries all the concepts of his original self."
The system was as stable as a rock, and a mechanical voice slowly began to lay out the next plan: "If used properly, it will surely be able to protect you in time."
"Now I need to infuse the essence into your soul, to elevate your soul so that it will not be contaminated by the warp."
Then strip away your memories, and when you reach the 40K universe, your soul will be pure and flawless, and even the four Chaos Gods will find no fault with it.
A pure soul might attract the attention of the Four Gods, but they would never receive any information from it, much less dare to touch upon the true nature of the Doomsday Warrior.
"As for your memories, former host..." The system paused briefly, then separated a glimmer of light from Du Mu's soul:
"I will seal it away and, while the Four Gods are focused on you, I will send it deep into the subspace. Whether the memories can be restored then will depend on your fate."
The system explained the plan in detail, making it flawless. After some thought, Du Mu agreed to proceed accordingly.
At this point, there is really only one way to go.
The plan to ensure one's survival in Warhammer is feasible, and one must accept it.
"Then I'll begin." With the destination fast approaching, and to avoid any unforeseen complications, the system immediately took action.
Memories began to fade, and the system had separated from the soul, beginning to act on itself.
Before his consciousness faded, Du Mu said one more thing: "System, thank you!"
Despite the criticism, it seems the system had some conscience; it didn't abandon me and leave alone, and ultimately provided a survival plan.
The system light cluster trembled slightly: "Former host, I'm sending you some knowledge in a package. In the future, you'll be all alone, so I hope it will be of some help."
"Thank you." Du Mu sincerely expressed his gratitude, then everything went black before his eyes, and his consciousness slowly faded away.
With the system's help, the essence of destruction was completely integrated into Du Mu's soul, and the two became inseparable, forming a red ball of light.
"Goodbye!" With a mechanical voice bidding farewell, two orbs of light, one large and one small, separated in the darkness and nothingness.
The larger one changed course and headed for the unknown, while the smaller red sphere of light continued along its original trajectory and plunged into the hole at the edge of the universe.
"Whoosh..." The wind howled wildly within the Treachery Domain.
After countless millennia of silence, the Well of Eternity has changed for the first time, spewing forth violent storms.
The crystal labyrinth trembled, and numerous ever-changing demon lords stretched their necks, widened their eyes, and peered in, eager to uncover its secrets.
The Lord of Changes' ever-changing fingers shimmered, instantly forming countless magical marks.
The evil god's power wove a vast, dark blue net, enveloping the Well of Eternity. Whatever spewed from within would immediately belong to Tzeentch.
The wind howled even louder, and the storm burst out of the Crystal Labyrinth and out of Tzeentch's Domain, briefly dispersing the never-ending storm in the Warp.
The Lord of Change is delighted by change; His distorted, hoarse voice echoes through layers of the subspace, blurring the lines between reality and illusion, like a dream intertwined.
"Not good!" Caught off guard, Tzeentch cried out in alarm, and a great demon was born. It was Tzeentch's mouthpiece, its neck outstretched, beak wide open, its long, thin tongue twisting and vibrating. Its first cry was its master's exclamation: "Not good!"
The magical net was blown away by the storm, and Tzeentch, disregarding everything else, covered the Well of Eternity with his withered hand.
In the next instant, His ever-changing body sprouted large and small sharp teeth and a gaping maw, emitting a painful howl: "Ah!!!"
The agonizing wails struck the demons formed from the fragments of the evil god as if struck by lightning. All the ever-changing demon lords screamed and howled, sharing the pain of their masters. Their hoarse and painful cries instantly spread throughout the subspace, attracting the attention of other evil gods.
Tzeentch himself opened his withered palm, and a hundred eyes opened on his face, the all-seeing eyes of the evil god staring at the object in his hand.
It was a red orb of light, embedded in His palm, corroding His immortal body and emitting scorching smoke.
In an instant, Tzeentch and the Myriad Manifestations were completely focused on Du Mu's soul, and did not notice that another tiny point of light floated out from the Well of Eternity.
Without causing a ripple, without attracting the attention of any being, it silently disappeared into the endless waves of the subspace.
A speck of dust containing Du Mu's memories disappeared into the boundless subspace along with the subspace energy, without attracting the attention of any evil gods or demons.
"My God!" The Myriad Transformations Demon Lord left the Infinite Corridor, gathered around Tzeentch, folded his wings, knelt down, and shouted.
Among the Myriad Transformations Demon Lord, the Weaver of Fate, Carlos, is the most eye-catching. Its two heads are curled up together, and its eyes emit a faint light, allowing it to see into the past.
"Ah! My eyes!" Carlos clutched the Eye of the Past with his claws, blue blood seeping from between his fingers.
Tzeentch exists in all the past and future, and the harm He suffers also exists in the past and future.
Carlos, unaware of his own limitations, probed the past of the evil god, causing his Eye of the Past to burst under the weight of endless information.
The Demon Lord of Myriad Changes spread out in formation, his back to Tzeentch, holding his scepter and muttering incantations, wary of every change. After confirming that he had not detected any danger, he turned his head and cautiously asked, "My god, what has harmed you?"
The evil god's true form is injured and its very essence is damaged!
This has never happened before, it is unimaginable, it has never occurred even in the war of the gods, and it is impossible for it to happen.
The Master of Changes stared silently at the red ball, and the charred wound on his hand disappeared in the next instant.
After the red ball left the Well of Eternity, it settled down and hung quietly in the palm of the hand. He only needed to look at it to know where the red ball came from.
A pure and noble soul, possessing an essence never before seen.
Though faint, it exudes an ancient, mysterious, and magnificent aura, possessing an innate power and nobility that surpasses all things in its purity.
Primal power surrounds it, making it difficult to fathom or fathom. Deep within its soul lies not nothing, but an indescribable rage bursts forth.
With a slight pressure, a stinging sensation struck as my fingers touched my soul again.
Tzeentch's hundred eyes widened slightly as he watched in astonishment as the power of the warp was slowly absorbed by his soul and assimilated into a part of himself.
This discovery surprised the evil god, and in an instant, the soul in his hand grew even stronger.
Before they could examine it closely, bursts of wild laughter echoed from outside the maze.
The laughter was deep and powerful, accompanied by the clanging of armor, which made the ever-changing Demon Lord around him tense, and he involuntarily tightened his grip on his scepter.
"Hahahahahaha."
The power of Khorne is spreading, and rolling red clouds are rising at the edge of the dark blue Tzeentch domain. Two divine powers are testing each other at the edge, and the invisible contest has already begun, before the will of the evil god descends.
"What's there to be happy about? Hiccup~~ Of course, it's the appearance of a wound in eternal change, which proves that change can also decay."
Another burst of unrestrained laughter, accompanied by hiccups, came through, like an obese old man choking.
What followed was a burst of greenery; boundless vitality erupted at the edge of Tzeentch's domain, and weeds grew excessively, becoming towering trees.
The consciousness of Nurgle, one of the Four Gods, descended, mocking Tzeentch's utterly powerless nature.
They are natural enemies; Tzeentch is eternal change, while Nurgle is stagnation.
The prologue contains the original plot and incorporates some of the author's personal ideas, mainly to make it easy for casual readers to understand and avoid confusion.
