Chapter 328 Saint Gilles

Chapter 328 Saint Gilles
When the No. 9 amniotic fluid chamber tore through subspace and crashed onto the wasteland of Victoria II, a human tribe calling themselves the 'Vampires' discovered the genetic prototype inside the chamber.

The vampires were divided on what to do with the cub.

Although the cubs were exceptionally beautiful, they had pure white wings on their backs, a clear sign of mutation, indicating that they were not pure humans.

After a long civil war, the survivors of Bavaria II formed tribes, plundering each other's resources to ensure their survival in the harsh environment.

In the long process of mutual hostility, the small tribes were gradually annexed and eventually split into two major camps based on culture and beliefs—vampires and mutants.

Mutants are exposed to radiation, their genes are altered, they grow mutated limbs, their mental state is extremely unstable, and they are bloodthirsty, brutal, primitive, and savage.

The vampires are pure humans who survive on Victoria II using leftover technology, resisting the invasion and plunder of mutants.

A winged cub is naturally viewed with hostility by vampires.

Ultimately, perhaps out of pity for the beautiful cub, the vampire hunting party brought the Primarch back to the tribe.

Saint Gilles.

The origin of this name is unknown, but vampires use it to refer to cubs, symbolizing pure blood, unrestrained passion, and pure rage.

Saint Gilles grew up very quickly, learned to fly with his wings, and also learned through the amniotic fluid reservoir that there were at least eight other brothers like himself.

He also took up his longsword and joined the war against the mutants to protect his tribe.

Soon, a legend spread like wildfire on Ephemeris: a warrior with pure white wings on his back descended from the sky like a god, fearless of radiation, and brave in battle.

The goddess is pure, beautiful, powerful, and extraordinary, leading the vampires to victory.

The various legends are so captivating that they inspire longing.

Many people immediately took action, gathering at the vampire tribe to behold the angel's glory.

Those who saw the angel were amazed by his radiance and beauty, and knelt down to offer their blessings and faith in devotion.

Saint Gilles accepts every seeker of refuge, leading his followers and believers in a relentless campaign against mutant tribes, determined to eliminate the threat.

The balance of power between the vampires and mutants, who were originally evenly matched with victories and defeats, was completely tilted with the addition of Sanguiles.

With a single swooping attack, the angel decapitated dozens, even hundreds, of mutants. His skill and strength were perfectly combined, and his soaring figure inspired morale.

In just a few years, Saint Gilles led the vampire tribe to completely wipe out the mutant-dominated Bavies II.

People revere and believe in angels, surrounding them and celebrating their great victory.

Faith rides the winds of victory, and the majesty and power of the angels spread throughout the world, leading to an increasing number of believers.

Saint Gilles was very worried about faith.

He was born with a special ability—prophecy.

This talent allowed him to foresee opportunities, win battle after battle, and bring Bastian II under his command.

But only he knew that after completely unifying Babel, the Lord of Humanity would arrive aboard a steel warship and take him back to the Human Empire.

In the human empire established by his father, faith and mutation are two major taboos, and he possesses both!
The people's deep faith and their mutated white wings will serve as direct evidence, drawing judgment from the human empire.

Inside the vampire tribe's palace, Saint Gilles sat on a high platform, opening his azure eyes amidst the praises. His gaze passed over the palace gates and fell upon the endless wasteland.

He slowly rose from his high seat, bid farewell to his believers and followers, and flapped his wings to fly out of the palace.

The prophecy told Saint Gilles that the emperor of mankind had arrived, and the day of judgment had come!
In the desert wasteland, Doom and the Emperor stood by the water, watching the man rise from the sand.

He was wearing a dark green radiation protection suit and a breathing mask, his hands gripping an automatic gun tightly, and his body was trembling slightly.

Clearly, the man was intimidated by the two men's large size.

Despite his trembling body, his shaky fingers pointed to the clear water in the low-lying area and said, "That is 'water of thirst.' It cannot quench thirst; instead, it will drain the body of its moisture."

It's clear that the man is kind-hearted by nature. His body was driven by instinct and fear, but his kind heart made him brave enough to stand up and warn others.

"There is no need to be afraid." The emperor slowly stood up, his movements as gentle and harmless as possible to avoid frightening the kind-hearted.

Doom also took a step back, indicating that he posed no threat.

The two of them had already discovered the man hiding in the sand, and originally didn't want to pay him any attention, but unexpectedly he appeared to warn them.

This is a sincere act of kindness, an invaluable gift in a galaxy filled with suspicion and betrayal.

Sure enough, seeing the stranger's kindness and his rude manner, the man breathed a sigh of relief.

He descended the sand dunes to the giants, his face hidden beneath his cloak, and asked cautiously in a hoarse voice, "You don't seem to be locals." "We are indeed not locals."

The emperor's voice was calm, soothing the man's rapidly beating heart, as he explained the reason for their arrival: "We have come here to find the angel."

"Angel?" Upon hearing this title, the man took a step back, his relaxed emotions tensing up again. He gripped his hands tightly, adjusting the muzzle of his automatic gun for easier firing.

The man's attitude displeased the emperor, and his dark brown face grew even darker in the shadows of his hood.

He was not angered by the rudeness, but rather by the fervent flame of faith he saw in the clouded eyes of an ordinary person.

"Strangers." The man lowered his body, slowly retreating into a fighting stance. "You've come looking for an angel, is there something you need?"

Clearly, the man was terrified by the two men's enormous size, believing they posed a threat to the angels.

"I've come looking for my son."

As the emperor spoke, he slowly raised his head, his chin peeking out from under his hood, and pointed into the distance, saying to the man, "He has arrived."

Suspecting it was a feint, the man quickly retreated several steps and hurriedly looked back—only to see a dark shadow breaking through the air at the end of the sandstorm.

He collapsed to the ground in shock. The stranger, who claimed to be looking for his son, pointed to the angel that had flown in.

Doom stepped forward; his extraordinary vision had already spotted the angel, and he also saw that the angel was holding a longsword.

Seeing his son's aggressive demeanor, the emperor raised his hand and shot out a golden light that transformed into bubbles that enveloped mortals and slowly moved above the thirsty water.

He needs a simple test.

Saint Gilles' brows furrowed. The scene before him was completely contrary to the prophecy.

According to psychic prophecies, there should only be the Emperor here in the future, but the situation is different now, with two more people present.

A vampire mortal, and another person standing behind the emperor.

His gaze locked onto the unfamiliar, tall figure, a purple light flashing in his blue eyes. Saint Gilles once again activated his prophetic abilities, targeting the individual.

Then, the result of the prophecy made him tremble, and his expression gradually became serious.

An endless darkness, with no past and no future, like a black hole that devours everything, deathly silent and empty, standing there quietly.

Saint Gilles was very dissatisfied with this result, so he immediately shifted his focus and launched a prophecy against the emperor.

This time, however, the prophecy was no longer certain; the future was swallowed by the black hole and became elusive and uncertain.

Saint Gilles was somewhat flustered; this had never happened before since he awakened his prophetic talent.

Before he could even think, the emperor used his psychic powers to envelop the mortal and threw him into the thirsty water!

"Do not!!!!"

With almost no time to think, Saint Gilles roared, his wings flapping and breaking the sound barrier, the sonic boom sweeping away the dust, piercing down like a sharp arrow cutting through the air.

Disregarding his own safety, he plunged into the "thirsty waters" and pulled the severely dehydrated mortal out of the water.

"why?"

Saint Gilles questioned angrily, his voice as clear as a crane's cry, his beautiful face showing disbelief and pain.

"Father!" He knelt on the scorching sand with his bare knees, shielding the mortal in his arms, looking up at his father, pleading with the Lord of Humanity to restrain his wrath:

"If I am guilty, I will accept your judgment, and I beg you not to take your anger out on mortals."

The emperor removed his hood, no longer concealing his image, and a golden sun rose slowly. He was taller than ever before, looking down at his kneeling son.

The gale subsided, and the sandstorm subsided. Nature bowed before its humankind master.

Saint Gilles looked up at his father, and in that holy radiance was a man with dark brown skin and black hair, sweat dripping down his cheeks and giving off a metallic smell.

This description may not be accurate; although the body is that of a man, his golden eyes contain the souls of women and children, youth and old age.

The emperor is like a collective, representing everyone.

Beside the emperor stood a silent man, the golden light slipping away from him; he was the only one unaffected by the psychic energy.

"The humanity within you saved this mortal."

The emperor remained expressionless as he directed golden light into the mortal's body.
