Chapter 369 The Primal Ones
Chapter 369 The Primal Ones
The machines act swiftly and have a clear division of labor. They first attach beacons to high-value items, and after confirming that everything is correct, they start reverse transmission to transport the items that need protection away one by one.
Seeing the machine move swiftly and mark items methodically, Doom nodded in satisfaction and walked out of the secret room toward the vault door.
When he returned to the gate, Harlan and Obelisk were inside, while gunfire erupted outside, and the battle raged on.
Seeing Harlan holding a porcelain bottle, Doom raised an eyebrow, then laughed at Harlan's greedy appearance.
Seeing Doom approaching, Harlan quickly got up from the ground and ran towards the depths of the vault: "I'll leave the rest to you. I'm going to salvage some artifacts."
He knew that Doom's appearance meant the legion might be about to withdraw.
After all the high-value items have been recovered, leaving behind a world ravaged by soulless humans and Lady Kra, issuing an extermination order is the only option.
After all, Lady Clara was too dangerous. Even though Li Tang was cautious at every step, many Imperial Guards were still seriously injured and died in the Dreadnought.
This world must be completely destroyed to prevent Lady Clara from escaping and to ensure the safety and prosperity of the surrounding world.
Doom and Harlan passed each other on their way to the front lines of the battle. Obelisk tried to follow, but Doom raised his hand to stop him.
“Protect him well.” Doom pointed to the unconscious Gera and said to his offspring, “He is the descendant of a hero.”
Obelisk punched his chest, nodded solemnly, and accepted the command from the Father of Genetics.
hero?
These two words carry immense weight, embodying beliefs and ideals, and symbolizing a noble and great spirit of sacrifice.
He looked down at Gera, thinking to himself: In this age of doubt and depravity, what kind of person could win such affirmation from the Primarch?
After explaining the precautions, Doom stepped out of the vault and was greeted by rows of black mountains that had blocked Lady Clara's attack.
The Terminator's ingenious firepower blocked the aliens from showing their faces, and at the end of the passage, the broken flesh piled up into a mountain of meat.
Despite the heavy losses, Lady Clara did not give up. Instead, she became even more reckless, constantly probing the guards' defenses.
Doom glanced at the time, then stood behind his offspring and growled, "Hold on for three more minutes, and we'll leave this world."
"We are the Immortal Wall!" the Primarch Guard roared, their determination even more resounding and unwavering than their voices.
"hiss!"
Seemingly sensing humanity's strategic intent, a violent roar erupted from the darkness, the sound waves sweeping out like a storm, scattering the ashes and dust of the soulless.
The psionic suppression dissipated temporarily, and Lady Kra seized the opportunity, raising a psionic shield and surging forward, intending to rely on her numerical advantage to charge forward.
Electromagnetic projectiles are incredibly powerful, but they are also difficult to suppress in large numbers.
Lady Clara hung upside down from the top of the passageway, climbed to the walls on both sides, spread her wings and flew, diverting the Terminator's firepower.
In an instant, Mrs. Clara, rushing forward in various postures, occupied the entire passageway.
Without the bone meal to suppress it, the psionic flintlock pistol fired, and the flying warp fragments struck the force field shield, splashing warp energy.
Doom wore the Archon's armor, which suppressed the power of the flintlock muskets. Otherwise, the entire defensive line would have collapsed under several volleys of fire.
"Four Soul-Destroying Missiles were launched simultaneously, detonating at set times to spread dust into the passage."
With the Father of Genes present, the Primarch Guard Captain Katz remained calm and issued orders to quickly pinpoint missile detonation points on the passage map.
The support team's Terminator shoulder missile bays aligned with the coordinates, and a volley of Soul-Destroying Missiles was fired, filling the space once again with the ashes and dust of the Soulless Ones.
Lady Clara's psychic power waned once more, and her tiny bat wings, devoid of psychic power, lost their ability to fly, spinning as they fell from the sky.
The psionic shield flickered a few times before dissipating within the soulless realm, revealing the fragile flesh beneath layers of protection.
They were like schools of alien fish chasing the tide, writhing in vain in the soulless realm after the tide receded.
The firepower team seized the opportunity and immediately unleashed their full firepower. The blue meteor shower struck again, shattering Lady Kra, who had lost her psionic shield.
"Fire five lethal missiles in a burst." Katz was as calm as a machine, making a precise assessment of the battle situation and issuing the attack order.
Whoosh~whoosh~whoosh~
The missile ignited and flew out of its pod, following the beacon's guidance, and detonated at the edge of the ashes and dust, leaving an orange-red trail of flame.
A dull thud resounded, a fiery red light illuminated all the shadows, and a violent shockwave blew away the dust. Five miniature nuclear bombs exploded at the end of the passage, creating miniature mushroom clouds.
"Drink!" the Primarch Guard roared, the Terminator power armor half-crouching, raising its shield to block the incoming shockwave.
The shockwave swept through, and the alien's shattered bone fragments clanged and clattered, some of the larger pieces even triggering a shield reaction.
"Prepare four Soul Destroyer Missiles." Katz ordered again: "Launch them after the heatwave subsides to fill the gaps and prevent Lady Kra from having a chance to breach the defenses."
"Continue to hold the line. You have two minutes to evacuate."
While the effects of the nuclear bombs were still lingering, the Primitive Guard prepared to meet Lady Kra's next attack.
Doom looked at the armor projection; most of Lady Kra's signal had disappeared in the area ahead, leaving several signal voids.
A little further away, shimmering with purple light, the aliens, unaffected by the ashes, survived under the protection of the shield.
"Humanity."
As the guards were resting and preparing, a loud, sharp call came from above, with a jarring, almost jarring quality, like the clash of swords.
With the call, the enormous head of Lady Clara appeared out of thin air, and the psionic projection was right in front of you, with its ugly tentacled mouthparts lifelike.
Kaz ordered a vigilance, capable of resisting the bone powder of the Soulless Ones and the suppression of the Legion's bloodline. He sent a projection to the front lines, as the opponent's psychic power was unbelievably strong.
Upon seeing the mastermind behind the scenes appear, Doom stepped out of the protective circle of his offspring and came to the front line, where he stared at the alien leader from a distance.
When the phantom of the leader of Kraf saw someone walk out, it was first stunned, and then its eyes burst with light.
"Do you want it?" Doom patted the Chaos Ring at his waist. He noticed the change in the alien's gaze; its greedy eyes were undisguised and intolerant of any other color.
The illusory head slightly raised, its sharp, hoarse, and extremely unpleasant voice exuding arrogance: "I am the 'Primordial One,' a high-level ascendant of Lady Kra..."
"Stop! Stop!" Doom raised his hand, rudely interrupting the Primal: "I have no interest in who you are, you just need to answer my questions."
He grasped the Ring of Chaos and raised it, asking again, "Do you want it?"
These two simple sentences were filled with arrogance and contempt, showing absolutely no respect, and were even more haughty than Mrs. Clare's.
“Now that you have obtained this artifact,” the Primal One said, its gaze never leaving the ring, its eyes filled with a mesmerizing light, deeply attracted by the Chaos artifact, “it is natural that I did not hesitate to cross the sea of stars in order to find it.”
“Human.” The Primal One looked at the person before him, then at the object he had longed for, and then at the arduous battle ahead, and said helplessly, “I wanted to leave this world, but you brought it to me. Now I have a reason to fight to the death.”
"You have the item in your hands, and you must know its purpose. Our clan is determined to obtain it."
"Leave?" Doom said sarcastically. "You really are making it sound so easy."
He stared intently at the illusory projection, as if trying to see the Primal Being's true form through it. "Having ravaged countless worlds, you casually utter 'leave,' is that a favor to us?"
Even now, after humans have driven you underground, do you still believe you have the upper hand?
"Your crimes must be repaid with your blood!"
"The 'fight to the death' you speak of, is it Mrs. Clara's determination to resist humanity's cleansing of you?"
Doom's voice was low and deep; words were bullets fired from his mouth, relentlessly attacking the Primal Ones and Lady Kra.
But the Primal One did not refute. It stared at Doom silently for a few seconds, then asked in confusion, "Are you angry? For those dead humans?"
“I can’t sense your emotions,” it said, raising the illusory projection and extending its gaze to the Legion of Doom, “nor can I sense theirs.”
“But I can sense that you are burning with rage and want to take a knife to me for the sake of those humans, to vent your anger with my life.”
“Actually, I don’t understand,” the Primal One said, turning his gaze back to Doom, “our lives are already beyond the ordinary, so why should we pity lower-level beings? They are worlds apart from us.”
“If you are filled with anger, you may slaughter the lower-ranking Ladies Kra. They will readily submit to my command, allowing you to vent your anger.”
"If you desire victory, I will grant you victory, and may even make you my equal and forge a friendship with you."
"I have only one request—hand over the artifact you possess. I can see that it is of no use to you. You might as well exchange it for a friendship. Lady Kra will remember your domain and will never offend you again."
