Chapter 292 Travel
Speaking of flying horses, Dui originally gave Elrond, Elrohir, Elradan, Galadriel, Celeborn, and Alwen a total of six flying horses.

The elves were very fond of these creatures, so they set aside their reserve and selected a group of the finest horses to form a harem for these winged horses, attempting to breed even more.

The results did not disappoint the elves; there was a 50% chance that the combination of a Pegasus and a Steed would produce a Pegasus.

To date, they have bred over fifty Pegasus, and are attempting to breed even more.

For this reason, the elves also set their sights on the twelve winged horses that Dui had bred through crossbreeding. In the year following their engagement, these winged horses stayed in the valley under the care of the elves, and each of them formed a harem.

Dui was worried that his Pegasus might be so exhausted that it wouldn't even be able to pull the flying chariot, which would be embarrassing.

That said, after Elrond and the last group of people left, only Dui and Alwen remained in the castle.

With no outsiders around, Dui completely relaxed.

Without giving Alvin any time to grieve, he scooped his wife up in his arms and rushed into the bedroom, closing the door behind him, before she could even exclaim in surprise…

With Alwyn's elders like Elrond, Galadriel, and Celeborn around these days, Dui dared not act recklessly.

Not to mention, his two brothers-in-law, along with other onlookers like Legolas and Balin the dwarf, deliberately got him drunk.

He wouldn't be afraid of ordinary alcohol, but he was drinking wine brewed by the Dovenian elves, a wine that even the Elven King Thranduil would find intoxicating.

So Dui was successfully drunk by these guys, and even Bilbo contributed to the effort.

So when Elrond and the others were about to leave, Dui feigned a plea to keep them, but inwardly he was cheering.

Dui dragged Alvin around the castle for a month before reluctantly reappearing in front of everyone.

Inside the castle, besides the two masters, Duy and Alvin, there was also the butler Edward and a group of servants.

Everyone was delighted that the castle had gained a new mistress, especially since she was an exceptionally beautiful elf princess.

Everyone who met Alwen was captivated by her beauty and noble elegance, and they affectionately called her "Lady of the Lord," "Lady Alwen," or "Lady Twilight Star."

Duy entrusted all the affairs of the castle to Alwen, and took her to the treasury in the cellar, where she met Smaug and the treasure in the treasury. He then gave Alwen the key to the treasury.

Smaug knew how important Alvin was to his master, so he flattered her by selecting the most beautiful gem from the treasure and offering it to her.

Dui raised an eyebrow at this, noticing that this stingy dragon was being so generous for the first time, which made him look at it in a new light.

After entrusting the affairs of the castle to his mistress, Alvin, Duy immediately took her on their honeymoon.

As per Alvin's wishes, Dui transformed the magnificent golden flying carriage into an ordinary-looking wooden structure, and selected a winged horse to conceal its wings. Thus, the two of them set off from the castle, with one horse and one carriage.

The carriage drove down the road to Hogsmeade, and to avoid attracting the attention of the city's inhabitants, Dui cast a scatter charm on himself and the carriage.

And so Dui and Alwen entered Hogsmeade City quietly.

Wandering through the bustling streets, surrounded by people coming and going, various shops, the sounds of hawking, bargaining, and children's laughter fill the air.

In addition to local residents, there are also many itinerant merchants, travelers, adventurers, and bards in the city.

The wedding from a month ago was still the topic of conversation for most people. Amidst the envious expressions of outsiders, local residents proudly recounted the scene. Alvin and Dui sat in the carriage, watching the lively scene outside with curiosity. It was different from the tranquil atmosphere of the valley and Lorien where she had grown up; it had a vibrant and energetic feel to it.

This scene filled Alvin with a sense of wonder and longing, because she was a half-elf with human blood flowing through her veins. This made her less of the detachment and aloofness that belonged to elves, and more of the emotions and warmth of humans.

Therefore, they are not naturally isolated from human life like other elves.

Seeing that Alvin was interested, Dui pulled her off the carriage and they strolled through the city streets.

Because of the ignore spell, no one around them noticed them, and even if they did, they just thought of them as an ordinary couple and forgot about them in the blink of an eye.

They wandered among various shops and stalls. Alwen was very interested in the human handicrafts. Even though they were not as exquisite and beautiful as those made by elves, she could still find various kinds of beauty in them.

Dui stayed by his side, responsible for giving money and carrying things.

On this trip, he took a lot of gold coins from Smaug, enough for them to squander for a long time.

So Dui was very generous; whenever he saw Alvin glancing at something, he would simply wave his hand and buy it.

Moreover, he also has a storage bag, so there's no need to worry about carrying too much.

After buying their things, they went to the lakeside to watch an artist paint, and then bought the painting that had just been completed.

Arriving at the central square, they enjoyed performances by some street performers. Alvin was amazed by their fire-breathing, sword-swallowing, and other acts, saying they were even more magical than magic.

Dui was generous with his rewards for these wandering performers who were able to win Alvin's favor, giving them several gold coins directly.

The homeless performers were overjoyed and thanked them profusely, almost to the point that even the ignore spell failed to affect them.

They then visited the Prancing Horse Inn's branch in Hogsmeade.

The owner here is the son of Buttercup, the owner of Prancing Horse Inn, and this tavern is the liveliest in Hogsmeade.

In the tavern, Dui and Alvin sat in a corner and ordered two glasses of ale.

Before the fireplace in the tavern, a bard was reciting his own poems aloud, accompanied by a harp.

The bards were chanting the legend of Duir taming the dragon.

As citizens of Duir, they are proud of their lord's great achievements, so even though they have heard them countless times, they still listen with great interest to the bard's stories.

Upon hearing the thrilling part, they all involuntarily gasped and looked worried. But when they heard that the lord had gained the upper hand, they were overjoyed and became completely absorbed in the story.

As Dui listened to the bards' thrilling and dramatic stories, all he could do was give them a thumbs up.

No wonder he makes a living this way. Compared to the other person's story, he felt that his real experience of subduing Smaug was much less impressive.

Looking at Alwen, who was also listening with great interest, he couldn't help but chuckle.

After spending a day in Hogsmeade, Dui and Alwen left by carriage, heading west along the East-West Avenue.
