Chapter 48 The Dúnedain
Dui looked him up and down, thoughtfully.

"Are you of the Dúnedain?"

"I also heard that there is a group of rangers in the Eriador Wasteland who are secretly maintaining peace in the area."

Herbs are the basis of potions, but many of the magical herbs in the Harry Potter world do not exist in Middle-earth.

Dui planned to first collect herbs from Middle-earth, and then after accumulating enough knowledge of potions and herbal medicine, he would find substitute herbs and copy all the magical potions one by one.

After completing the transaction, Alpha left the town overnight with dozens of ancient corpse swords he had just obtained.

Dui and others stayed at the Leaping Horse Inn for one night and set off again early the next morning.

But to Dui's dismay, almost half of the supplies the dwarves received consisted of alcohol. ————

Everyone camped in the wilderness, and Dui once again used his Transfiguration magic to create tents and sleeping bags.

The group had no trouble along the way and soon arrived at Fengyunding.

Weathertop is the highest and southernmost mountain in the Weather Hills, adjacent to the main east-west road. It is called Amon Sul in Sindarin, meaning "Hill of the Wind".

Weathertop was once an important frontier fortress in the Northern Kingdom of Arnor. The Númenóreans built a huge watchtower on Weathertop to house the largest and most powerful Palantir, the Amon Sul, in order to monitor the entire Eriador region and communicate with other Palantirs.

However, as the Kingdom of Arnor split and weakened, in 1409 of the Third Age, the Witch-king of Angmar sent troops to besiege Weathertop, and the Tower of Amon Sul was destroyed and razed to the ground. The Crystal of True Knowledge stored in the tower was unfortunately lost in the shift of war and sank to the bottom of the sea.

For more than a thousand years thereafter, the Tower of Amon Sul has never been rebuilt, and only a circle of circular stone walls remains, telling of its former glory.

Dui wanted to try to sign in at Fengyunding, so he suggested staying there for one night.

No one had any objection to Dui's proposal.

Arriving at the ruins of Amon Zul'tar, Gandalf looked at the ruins before him, his eyes filled with memories. He sighed and said, "The grandeur of Amon Zul'tar is still vivid in my mind, but time flies, and now I can no longer see the scene I once saw!"

After hearing Gandalf's recollection, Bilbo asked curiously, "Gandalf, have you seen the Tower of Amon Sul?"

Gandalf nodded and recalled, "The Tower of Amon Sul was magnificent and tall, a thousand feet high, rising into the clouds. It was the tallest tower in all Eriador. The Stone of True Knowledge, housed within it, could be seen from the edge of the wastes a thousand miles away."

1000 feet? Dui was surprised. That was equivalent to a height of more than 300 meters, which was as high as a hundred-story building in his previous life!
The dwarves were also very surprised. Building such a high building was a huge project for them who were good at construction.

But soon Dui no longer had the heart to sigh, because the system finally responded.
