The Young Lady's Guardian Team is a team specially formed by Diana to protect Delulu. After Delulu escaped, this team of 7 elites from all walks of life secretly lay in wait.

The Hive Man that Li Ji spat at was one of them in disguise.

The later cat doctors were also imposters.

It was Diana's personal instruction to put the calming bracelet on Delulu; otherwise, no doctor would dare to put such a dangerous mind control device on Delulu's wrist.

This bracelet is designed with an emotional threshold, meaning that when a person's emotions exceed a certain limit, it is possible to overcome rationality and remove the bracelet.

However, this theoretical threshold is very high and is mostly triggered in situations of life and death. Diana specifically instructed that this threshold be increased by 2 times in order to control her daughter's emotions. First, to prevent her from being too impulsive, and second, to see if Diana and Li Ji could still spark their usual chemistry under such circumstances.

The cat doctor stared at the control panel in his hand, where various colored numbers flashed incessantly: "The young lady's mood value has fluctuated slightly, but it is still within a safe range, meow."

The spaceship that Li Ji was on suddenly disappeared into the vast universe.

Captain Cat reported into the microphone: "Reporting to headquarters, the enemy has entered interstellar warp mode. We will be out of contact for a while, so please don't worry, meow."

The phone call abruptly ended. The cat secretary put down the communicator, opened the document, and began to review the report she had just received, which she would then hand over to Diana for review.

She suddenly remembered that there were still guests outside to entertain.

She opened the door, and a four-eyed toad dressed in military uniform jumped in. He was Adaas, the deputy head of the Ordnance Section of the Galactic Defense Department.

Four bright yellow eyes darted around.

"You saw him, meow?"

"I have met him. He is indeed extraordinary. He is worthy of being someone I vow to repay with my life."

The cat secretary sat back down: "I really don't understand you. You should know that it was Lee Ki who helped you out of the crisis, meow. Why did you have to go to the school in person, see him, and pretend to be a stranger, meow?"

Adahas sat upright on the sofa.

"This is the traditional culture of our Four-Eyed Toad Star. We believe in repaying kindness and vengeance. If it weren't for Li Ji calming down Chairman Diana's wrath and getting her to withdraw her spaceship bound for the solar system, I would be dead. We are grateful, but we can't let ourselves be manipulated. Now that I know Li Ji, I can take action when necessary, decisively and efficiently, saving me from a lot of complicated interpersonal situations."

So you're socially awkward, meow?

"I'm not socially anxious, I just don't like socializing."

"That's a socially awkward cat."

-

Earth, Africa, Soviet Union.

The sun scorched the blood-red earth as armored personnel carriers carried soldiers away from the ruined town.

The Arab soldiers, their skin tanned dark by the sun, raised their weapons and shouted excitedly, like the howls of man-eating beasts.

The strong smell of blood in the air excited them, and the buzzing of flies added to the excitement.

Long after the army had left the town, the hyenas smelled blood. A pack of hyenas burrowed into the ruined town and began to devour the scattered limbs on the ground.

A wooden manhole cover opened, and a group of Black people filed out, their clothes covered in mud and splattered blood.

Seeing the tragic scene on the street, some people were crying and others were collapsing to the ground helplessly.

The leader, a young Black man named Akul, pulled everyone up: "There's no time to lose. We have to survive. Pack your things and run north!"

With his encouragement, everyone put aside their grief and went home to pack their belongings.

The lookout on the street suddenly shouted, "The soldiers are here again!"

Everyone rushed out of their homes like madmen and crawled into the tunnels.

Aku stood by the tunnel, helping the group of elderly, weak, sick, and disabled people to hurry inside.

A burly man tried to cut in line, so he shoved the man to the ground and said, "Let the elderly and children go first!"

He looked nervously towards the direction outside the town and saw a group of people in green military uniforms rushing in from afar.

"Hurry up!"

He gripped the shovel by the roadside, prepared for a fight to the death.

He stared intently at the group of people and vaguely noticed that the armbands on their shoulders seemed a bit off.

His eyes lit up instantly.

"They're regular soldiers! We're saved!" Everyone excitedly rushed out.

The fleeing soldiers saw a group of black men rushing towards them from afar and were so frightened that they turned and ran.

"They're attacking! Run! Run!"

The refugees shouted excitedly, "Don't run away! We are civilians!"

Aku couldn't help but wonder, even the hyenas on the savanna aren't afraid of being chased, so how did this regular army get scattered by a bunch of ordinary people like us?

It took the fleeing soldiers quite a while to realize that there were no enemies, but a group of refugees.

They then reunited with the refugees.

Aku urgently informed them of the news of the rebels' massacre of the city, and also told them about the rebels' subsequent route and scale of advance.

"Go and wipe out the rebels!"

The dozen or so defeated soldiers looked at each other.

"Shall we go and wipe out the rebels?"

A burst of laughter immediately followed.

The refugees looked at each other in bewilderment.

The routed soldiers, who had just been fleeing like rats, now held their chins high and shouted arrogantly, "Bring out your food, water, and all your valuables! How can we wipe out the rebels without supplies?"

"We have nothing to eat either; the rebels have ransacked the place."

"If there's no food, what's in the bag?"

The soldiers began snatching backpacks from the refugees.

A little girl clutched her bag tightly to her chest and screamed in pain.

The impatient soldier simply lifted her up.

Aku quickly came over to help: "Sir, she's just a child, she has nothing in her pockets."

A rifle butt slammed heavily into Akku, sending him sprawling to the ground, seeing stars as the soldier roughly rummaged through the girl's backpack, scattering broken toys all over the floor.

There really is nothing there.

The soldier frowned and pulled a lollipop from the ripped back of the plush puppy.

He immediately beamed, sucking on a lollipop like a chimpanzee, and patted the troubled girl's head: "A child who likes to hide candy is not well-behaved at all."

The refugees dared not speak out in anger and could only watch as the fleeing soldiers looted what little they had left.

After the defeated soldiers had eaten and drunk their fill, they asked Aku with grins, "Which way did those rebels go?"

Aku's chapped lips trembled slightly: "South."

“Then we’ll head north. You don’t understand, this is called a tactical flanking maneuver, flanking from the north to the south, catching the rebels off guard and wiping them out in one fell swoop.”

The defeated soldiers walked north, chatting and laughing, while the desperate refugees remained motionless alongside the corpses of their loved ones.

Aku gripped the shovel in his hand, but after taking only a few steps, he fell due to weakness.

He could only watch those beasts walk away.

Suddenly, the sky darkened.

A giant cat descended from the sky and smashed the fleeing soldiers to pieces.

Seven strange people staggered out of the cat's mouth.

"Did we hit someone, meow?"

"But the system says there's no one down here?"

"It probably hit an animal, meow."

"Never mind, hurry and go support the young lady, she might be in danger!" (End of Chapter)
