Chapter 538: Four people arrested, FBI interrogation to the point of collapse

Sitting in the car on its way to Sudan's wartime capital, Delulu's body swayed with the car's movements.

She asked Lee Ki, "Don't you think it's suspicious that I'm asking you to change the location for the negotiations?"

Li Ji leaned against the window, stretching one hand out to feel the wind carrying sand and gravel.

"It's not just suspicious, it's definitely problematic!"

Shark asked, puzzled, "Then why do we still want to go?"

"How will I know what kind of bad ideas these people are up to if I don't go? I've made all the arrangements at the base; it's very safe. As long as I don't miss tomorrow's deal with Mr. L, everything will be fine."

Lee Ki has been very worried about the incident since the last music festival attack.

Although he received no information, both Lidel and his senior sister remained tight-lipped about it.

This further proves that this was a deliberate act.

Of the four of them, one of them attracted some strange attention.

The other side failed last time, and they are very likely to try again this time.

The government forces' strange actions may be related to a mastermind behind the scenes.

With the cat guards secretly protecting us on Earth, this is the best opportunity to confront the mastermind behind the scenes.

The car drove into the city, through the quiet streets under curfew, and came to a building with a tall national flag standing at the entrance, looking particularly somber in the darkness.

Before opening the car door, Li Ji instructed everyone: "What happens in a little while may be beyond our expectations, but don't rashly get into a conflict with the other party. Listen, observe, and feel more. When you hear me whistle, you can run away. If you need help, shout kudumoso."

Milia frowned: "Does it have to be such a nasty insult?"

"People are more sensitive to this word."

Several men in black were lying in ambush in the courtyard, holding pistols and keeping a close watch on the car that was slowly driving in.

“These four people are extremely dangerous; we must strike them with one blow. This dose is enough to knock out a cow; I don’t believe they can withstand it.”

"Bob, I have a feeling someone's watching us?"

“We’re hiding here, and no one knows except the bureau chief. It’s so dark, we won’t be discovered.”

In another corner not far away, several dark-skinned figures were squatting, licking the backs of their hands while staring at the four men in black.

"Captain, they seem to be ambushing the young lady. Should we intervene?"

Captain Cat held a dark red, bottle-cap-sized monocle in his right hand, observing the people through it.

Under these glasses, all of these people's data is transparent, from the material of their clothes to their various physical indicators, all of which are clearly visible.

"This guy has high uric acid, meow. His blood pressure is also high, so his kidneys are under a lot of pressure, meow."

"Captain, let's get down to business, meow."

"Sorry, meow." The captain focused his gaze on the guns. "Danger cleared, meow. It was just an anesthetic, a small dose, no threat to the young lady, meow. Let's look at something more interesting, oh no, meow."

Everyone immediately gathered around anxiously: "What happened, Captain Meow?"

"This guy has an anal fistula, it's giving me trypophobia."

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief: "We don't need to talk about this anymore, meow."

The car stopped at the building entrance, and Li Ji and the others pushed open the door and came out.

He suddenly felt a sharp pain in his back, followed by a tingling sensation in his neck.

He instantly understood and cooperated by falling to the ground.

Delulu understood his meaning and collapsed as well.

Milia leaned against Li Ji and smiled at Dailulu with narrowed eyes.

Delulu also squinted, meeting Milia's gaze.

Only Shark Baby stood there dumbfounded.

He shook Li Ji frantically: "What are you doing? Why did you suddenly collapse?"

Li Ji felt like he was about to throw up from being shaken so much. Why hadn't this kid reacted yet?
He lowered his voice and whispered, "Pour! Pour!"

"What are you pouring?"

Shark's voice was loud and clear, sounding like a police siren in the city that was silent due to the curfew.

The FBI director stood in the window upstairs, observing from a distance through a gap in the curtains.

"What's going on? What's the vampire boy shouting?"

He gave the order into the walkie-talkie: "Increase the dosage!"

Three seconds after the order was given, Director Cash heard a thunderous shout.

"You hit me again! What are you guys doing squatting in the bushes?!"

The vampire boy strode menacingly toward the bushes where the agents were lying in wait.

An agent's urgent voice came from the walkie-talkie: "Sir, what should we do now?"

Just as Chief Cash's mind was racing, he heard the vampire boy shout, "I'm numb!"

Then I saw him fall down far away, motionless.

Four agents crept out of the bushes like four thieves.

They gripped their guns tightly and cautiously approached the four men who had fallen to the ground.

"Ow!"

The three people in front were startled and fired three shots out of thin air.

The last agent quickly said, "It's me!"

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief and said in hushed, excited voices, "You scared us to death! What were you yelling about?"

"I just feel a little pain in my butt."

"Go back to see a doctor, and catch the person first."

Shark Baby lay on the ground, restlessly whispering, "How much longer? I can't lie here any longer."

Li Ji squinted, observing the four agents' every move: "Bear with it, they're almost here. These guys are so slow."

Four agents finally reached them and quickly pulled out stun guns and handcuffs to restrain them. "Click!"

As the last pair of handcuffs were put on, the agents cheered excitedly.

They hugged each other excitedly and jumped for joy, their eyes brimming with tears.

"We did it!"

Li Ji felt like he was going deaf. Were these Americans crazy?!
Upon receiving the news, Chief Cash delivered a series of swift punches to the air: "Yes! Yes! Yes! I finally caught you! Asian Cellphone Man, Vampire Boy! Yes!"

The four of them were locked in four separate interrogation rooms.

The original plan was to send him back to the United States for trial, but to avoid any complications along the way, Cash wanted to get it over with quickly.

They urgently transferred a full set of equipment and personnel from the FBI.

Li Ji was tied to an electric chair, which resembled a large massage chair, with his hands and feet fixed and firmly bound.

The agents frantically covered his body with various patches.

After everyone left, only a bald white man remained standing behind the interrogation table, next to a one-way mirror, where Li Ji could clearly see himself tied to the chair.

He spoke first, asking, "Who are you?"

The interrogator was expressionless, like a pale ice sculpture.

"You have no right to ask questions; now I am interrogating you."

Li Ji casually glanced around: "I don't know who you are, how would I know what to say to you?"

"Tell me what you know. Was the storming of Los Santos City Hall on June 27th orchestrated by you?"

"You are Americans, and according to your roles, you should be from the FBI."

The interrogator slammed his fist on the table: "Answer my questions!"

"it's me."

The interrogator's brow relaxed, clearly somewhat surprised. He had expected strong resistance, but it went so smoothly.

He didn't speak, waiting for a reply from the other end of the headset.

On the other side of the one-way glass, Chief Cash and a group of agents were watching the densely packed vital signs data on the computer screen.

The tech agent looked at the data and said, "Heart rate: 140 beats per minute."

"Is he lying?"

"Not necessarily. His heart rate has always been this high, so we don't know if it's because he's too nervous or if that's just his natural heart rate. But according to other hormone levels, there's no evidence to prove he's lying."

Chief Cash said into the intercom, "Inquire about his purpose."

The interrogator frowned: "What is your purpose in doing this?"

Li Ji grinned: "Playing with abstract concepts, huh? What else? We can't exactly start an American civil war, can we?"

The tech agent frowned: "He still wasn't lying."

Director Cash stared wide-eyed in disbelief: "This kind of thing, just for fun? Are you sure there's nothing wrong with the equipment?"

"No problem. Or perhaps he has undergone extremely rigorous lie detector training."

Director Kash frowned, lost in thought.

The interrogator continued, "Were you the one who stole the monkey god in India on July 16th?"

Li Ji laughed: "You guys found out about this too? You've got some skills. You know how to tell everyone, right? I did it all."

"So you were the one who stole the Louvre's jewels?"

"that's not me."

"So you were the one who destroyed 18 animal brothels in Denmark?"

Li Ji frowned: "What filthy words have entered my ears? Damn it, you made me hear this kind of thing, you have to compensate me for emotional distress!"

"So you're the one who ingests 2 tons of methamphetamine a day in Mexico?"

Are there really that many bad things happening in the world?

"What exactly is your purpose in doing all this?"

"That's fun. What else could it be?"

The bald man strode closer to Li Ji, glaring fiercely at him.

"You are a well-trained agent with a strong ability to evade lie detectors."

Li Ji smiled wryly: "What I said is all true, I'm not lying."

The bald man shook his head: "But your partners may not be that powerful. They have already confessed. If you continue to resist, the consequences will be unimaginable."

The prisoner's dilemma is an old trick, but it has a very high success rate.

But the prerequisite is that there are actually things that can be asked.

Li Ji asked with a smile, "Are you sure they all told you? Sorry, it's really funny."

Next door, Shark Baby faced the same problem and was completely demoralized: "Do you have any food? I could eat a whole cow right now."

The technical officer looked at his physical data: "He's not lying!"

Milia excitedly asked the interrogator, "Will this chair be electrified? What's the highest voltage it can reach? 240V isn't exciting enough, can we just turn it up to 280V? I love the feeling of being electrified!"

Delulu answered the question indifferently: "It was mainly to study the situation of ethnic minorities and single-parent families in America. The conclusion was terrible. Your country has an extremely serious problem of racial inequality, meow. You're also a Black person, so I want to ask you, do you have a father, meow?"

After asking around for a long time, Li Ji didn't get any useful information.

They initially thought it was a mastermind coming after them, but it turned out they had been targeted by the FBI.

He yawned: "If you don't have any valuable questions, I'm leaving."

The interrogator looked at Li Ji, who was completely bound to a chair, and wondered where he got such a big mouth from.

He pulled out a photograph: "Do you recognize this one?"

Li Ji was stunned.

"Where did this photo come from?" (End of Chapter)
