Time ticked by, and the missile drew ever closer to Moscow.

The commander asked urgently, "How much time do we have left?"

"Sir, there are only 1 minute and 50 seconds left."

The entire operations room was enveloped in a somber atmosphere.

Everyone is eagerly transmitting information, communicating, and working.

Every now and then, you could hear a few sobs.

But no one stopped working; they continued to work eagerly.

Another round of interceptor missile launches.

A simplified flight path diagram appears on the screen.

Everyone held their breath and stared intently at the screen.

"It has to be a hit! It has to be a hit! It has to be a hit!"

The interceptor missile missed the intercontinental ballistic missile, and the threat continues.

Some people were so anxious that they burst into tears.

The commander shouted, "Keep going! Don't give up! There's still time!"

Only 50 seconds remain.

Everyone sped up their work, but everyone knew that there might not be time to complete the next round of launches.

A nuclear bomb will fall on this building, taking them, their beloved city, and their families with them.

They prayed that their family members had already run into the nuclear facility and wouldn't disappear with them.

Outside the building, the entire population of Moscow rushed frantically to the air-raid shelters scattered throughout the city.

The entire city descended into utter chaos.

Cars were parked haphazardly in the middle of the road. Upon hearing the broadcast, people immediately rushed out of their cars and ran towards the underpass.

People in the building rushed down the fire escape as if a fire had broken out.

Those disabled and elderly people who are unable to move can only stay at home alone, waiting for the final catastrophe.

The commander gripped the phone tightly, took a deep breath, and said, "Your Excellency, perhaps we are facing the worst possible outcome."

"General, thank you and your soldiers for your efforts for the motherland. The people of the motherland will never forget you."

The commander pursed his lips, then quickly released them; he needed to finish his last shift.

"When the time is right, I will report to you."

He said to his adjutant beside him, "Annev, could you find me a pair of leather shoes?"

"I'll go right away."

The commander stared at the time on the screen; there were only 40 seconds left, or more precisely, only 10 seconds.

Perhaps we'll never get that pair of shoes.

Suddenly, a technical officer rushed over.

"Sir, an unidentified flying object has been detected approaching the missile."

The commander shouted excitedly, "Throw it up!"

The parameters of the unidentified flying object were quickly displayed on the large screen.

A black dot could be seen accelerating toward the red dot representing the missile.

The two dots converge at the outer edge of the atmosphere, and the red dot disappears.

"The target has been eliminated!"

Everyone hugged each other excitedly, cheering, crying, and shouting.

The entire operations room erupted in jubilation.

No one knows what that black dot represents, or what the unidentified flying object is.

Gods or aliens? Who cares? At least we're alive for this moment!
The president's urgent roar came through the phone: "What's going on? Should I press the button or not?"

Everyone shouted excitedly, "Don't press it! Don't press it!"

As the atmosphere gradually calmed down, everyone remembered the unidentified flying object.

The operations center used a satellite to take a picture of an unidentified flying object.

When that photo appeared on the big screen, tense expressions appeared on everyone's faces.

It was a giant blue cat swimming freely in space, with flames shooting straight out of its rear end.

"Great! We made it!"

Li Ji excitedly hugged Dai Lulu tightly. Dai Lulu's expression was indifferent, but her heart was pounding.

He hugged me, meow? He hugged me, meow?
So that's how he'll hug me. From now on, I'll throw a few nuclear bombs at Earth, meow.

Li Ji calmed down and quickly let go of her hand: "I'm sorry."

Don't be shy, give me another hug, another hug, meow!
While thinking this to herself, Delulu said aloud, "Research shows that when Earthlings are overly excited or agitated, they are more inclined to hug those around them, even strangers, meow. It seems that Earthling behavioral standards have had a profound impact on you, meow."

"You're really strange. I have to say, your spaceship is pretty good quality; hitting a nuclear bomb is like child's play."

The spaceship returned to the Soviet Union and landed.

Shark, Milia, and Gu Yuqing waited together outside the spaceship.

Behind them was a huge spaceship, like a giant shipping container, with cylindrical thrusters on both sides.

Gu Yuqing forced a smile: "Thank you for your hard work, Li Ji. I will handle the rest."

"Senior, how's the case from last time going?"

Gu Yuqing looked at the other three: "Come up to my spaceship, we'll talk alone."

Delulu asked, "Can't we understand cats?"

Gu Yuqing simply said, "It's inconvenient."

"What inconvenience could we possibly have, meow?"

Li Ji quickly reassured them, "I'll tell you the same thing when I get back after I hear it."

His comrades were unaware of his identity as a special agent. When he discussed the case with his senior, it was obviously inconvenient for others to overhear.

The two boarded the spaceship together.

"Senior, why didn't you use the teleportation portal this time?"

Gu Yuqing didn't say anything, but simply lit a cigarette.

Li Ji covered his mouth and nose: "Senior Dolly, please don't smoke indoors."

Gu Yuqing slowly exhaled a smoke ring: "Dolly's not here, so I wanted to smoke."

A blue pulse flashed around her, revealing her true form covered in octopus tentacles. One head held a cigarette in its mouth with a melancholy air, while the other head drooped down with its eyes closed.

"Senior, why are you smoking too?"

"When you're feeling down, you need a cigarette. Li Ji, don't blame me."

"What do you mean?"

A blue pulse flashed across Li Ji's body, and he revealed his true form.

A silver ring tightly bound all eight tentacles together.

He lay on the ground, rolling around, unable to break free of the tentacles.

"Senior, what do you mean?"

Gu Yuqing didn't say anything, silently walked off the spaceship, leaving behind only a lonely figure and a cloud of smoke.

The hatch is closed.

Li Ji lay on the ground, only able to see a pair of thick, dark blue feet walking out of the lounge.

Its two legs were like elephant legs, but deep blue and smooth like a floor.

He heard a deep voice: "Li Ji, you have been arrested for allegedly endangering the security of the Interstellar Alliance."

"I didn't! Someone framed me for that nuclear bomb! I stopped it! You should investigate that person!"

"I don't know what you're talking about. You'd better save your energy and talk to the judge."

Afterwards, Li Ji felt a tingling sensation all over his body and then lost consciousness.

Outside the spaceship, Dailu watched Gu Yuqing walk off the spaceship alone, but the hatch closed again.

"Li Ji Miao?"

Gu Yuqing did not speak.

Dailulu continued, "Why didn't you use the portal? Why did you have to use a spaceship? This isn't your spaceship. This is an interstellar warp spaceship commonly used by the intelligence department for long-distance travel missions. You've always been on Earth, so why would you use this kind of spaceship? Tell me quickly, Li Ji, meow!"

Gu Yuqing did not answer.

Delulu clutched the bracelet on her wrist and said urgently, "He's fine, meow! This nuclear bomb has nothing to do with him; he was just being used, meow. He's already redeemed himself by shooting down the nuclear bomb, and it didn't cause any serious consequences. There's no law that allows you to arrest him, meow!"

Gu Yuqing slowly exhaled a puff of smoke: "I had no choice. Forgive me."

"What do you mean? What do you mean by 'I forgive you, meow'?"

The spaceship slowly ascended into the air. (End of Chapter)
