Chapter 73 The President Holds a Meeting to Discuss Lee Ki

Lee Ki's jelly-like body could no longer endure it, and he flung all the bullets outwards, only for them to return like rain.

The sporadic gunfire ceased instantly, and all seven gangs in Los Santos' East Side were wiped out in a flash.

Fortunately, the gunfight was too intense, and the innocent civilians in the vicinity evacuated early on. There wasn't even a wild bird or squirrel in the vicinity.

All the gunmen were lying haphazardly, their blood flowing like a river.

When Delulu and Shark came out, they saw a scene of utter chaos outside.

All three of them were well aware that the teacher was watching the surveillance footage.

Bi Yangde repeatedly confirmed that Li Ji's group's research topic was "Single-Parent Families on Earth".

"Are you trying to create single-parent families in bulk because you can't find any samples?"

Delulu's mind raced; she had to say something to make the teacher think the current situation was reasonable.

"Oh dear, Earthlings are so sleepy, they've all gone to bed early all of a sudden, meow."

Shark Baby grinned, showing his big teeth: "Yeah, he really is a caveman, sleeping right there on the street. Ha, ha, ha."

Li Ji almost laughed out of anger at the two of them. Who would bleed while sleeping?
Forget it, given their limited knowledge of Earth, you can't expect them to say anything coherent.

I'll have to figure out how to fool the professor myself.

“They are local gangs, that is, criminal groups, who specialize in heinous crimes such as theft, robbery, murder, and drug trafficking, seriously endangering the personal safety and property security and stable lives of local residents.”

“We’ve eradicated a cancer from the neighborhood, and there’s nothing wrong with that.”

"According to Earth's laws, their shooting at us and our retaliatory fire is considered legitimate self-defense, and even if they were Earthlings, they would be innocent."

“From any perspective, our behavior is beyond reproach. The professor knows the Earth so well, he certainly won’t deduct points from us.”

"Drip."

Monitoring is over.

Delulu asked nervously, "Can he believe what you just said, meow?"

“Anyway, I believe it,” Shark said firmly.

"You believe everything Li Ji says, meow."

Shark Baby nodded obediently: "Mmm."

Li Ji bit his finger, feeling uncertain about himself.

Anyone on Earth would find that argument reasonable; gangs, this social scourge, should definitely be eradicated.

But who knows if this alien BYD, Biyangde, even understands it?

A teacher who can include Italian Mafia families in a textbook on Earth family science—what does he know about Earth?
"One more thing, can our interviewee still piece it back together?"

Stephen lay peacefully under the pine tree, his body riddled with holes.

The three people's anxiety continued until the morning of the next day.

When Li Ji stood at the awards ceremony at Los Santos City Hall, his anxiety vanished; he even wished the professor would turn on the surveillance cameras immediately.

The mayor, dressed in a suit and tie, stood on the podium.

“The situation in Los Santos has been quite unstable recently, and our city is under great threat.”

"The storming of City Hall a few days ago has not yet subsided, and yesterday the largest gang fight in nearly a decade took place in the East District."

"There is always light in the darkness. These three outstanding citizens, with just an automatic pistol, completely eradicated seven gangs that had plagued Los Santos' East Side for decades."

"The team leader was captured and all gang members were wiped out."

The crowd below the stage erupted in uproar.

"He's practically a superman."

"I've dealt with gangsters a lot; they're all ruthless bastards." "Isn't this something out of an Avengers movie?"

The mayor, holding the microphone, continued, "I hereby award them the Outstanding Citizen Medal."

The mayor walked up to Li Ji, pinned a metal medal with a bald eagle on his chest, and gestured for him to come to the front of the stage and say a few words.

Li Ji walked to the podium and looked back at the white building of the city hall.

Just a few days ago, he was leading an attack on the city hall, punching police officers and kicking navy personnel.

The arrest warrant hasn't been withdrawn yet, and they've changed into different costumes and are standing here again to receive the award—it's truly ironic.

Looking at the eager eyes below the stage, many faces seemed familiar; they were the friends who had been beaten here a few days ago, with noticeable bruises on their faces.

Just two days ago, these people looked at him like he was a monster, but now they only have admiration for him.

"I am very proud to stand in front of City Hall Plaza and under the American flag to receive this award."

"Every citizen has a duty to maintain the stability and harmony of this city."

The reason the California state flag wasn't mentioned is because the flagpole was broken by Shark and hasn't been repaired yet.

In the crowd, Li Ji spotted a policeman whose foot he had stepped on during the riot. Beneath the man's swollen eyelids lay a pair of burning eyes, and his lips seemed to be saying, "You are our hero."

Amid cheers, the Li Ji Group concluded their second trip to Earth.

They saw the giant screen in the square from the airship that had taken off.

The images of the three of them appeared prominently above, twice.

On the left is a vampire boy laughing and doing a roundhouse kick, an Asian cell phone user calmly amidst a hail of bullets, and a white Native American woman kicking a gas canister.

Beneath the three men, in large red cartoon lettering, was written: "Destroyers of democracy, leaders of Los Santos riots."

The image on the right shows their later mimicry.

The caption reads: "Defenders of democracy, true heroes of Los Santos."

The two sides on the poster give off a vibe of a superhero versus villain confrontation.

Posters featuring an Asian cell phone hero and a vampire boy also appeared in the Oval Office.

The elderly president leaned back in his chair, his orange skin covered in wrinkles.

He pointed to the Asian man in the poster holding a cell phone with a somber expression and asked the room full of people a question in an extremely sarcastic tone.

"Can anyone tell me who they are?"

"Our bravest and most skilled Marines, you were slaughtering children in Iraq, you were the bane of children. How come you were breached by a little kid as soon as you returned to America?"

"And our California National Guard, what a powerful team! They arrested over three hundred people, yet these three strangely dressed men managed to escape from City Hall."

“You must have been too focused on whipping the black man to see a white woman in Native American clothing running past you.”

"Oh, and you too, Mr. Cash. Your FBI is incredibly efficient and loyal. Five days have passed, and the White House hasn't gotten a single name, let alone a person."

The elderly Marine Corps commander sat upright on the sofa, his bald head and even the medals on his uniform looking somewhat dull.

He stood tall and proud, exuding the confidence unique to soldiers, but the constant pressing of his fingers on the sofa revealed a hint of unease.

“Your Excellency, I think it’s necessary to provide some explanation. That little boy, his strength and physical abilities are terrifying. It’s not that our soldiers are incompetent. I suspect he is a genetically modified human.”

The president laughed in exasperation: "Who reformed him?"

"That Asian man."

Everyone present was so angry they laughed, and the presidential office was filled with a cheerful atmosphere.

Only Mr. Cash, the head of the FBI, looked serious, his eyes fixed on the mysterious Asian man on the poster.
