Chapter 34 Contribution Points

Chapter 34 Contribution Points (Please continue reading)
Orcs, also known as half-orcs, are the main soldiers of the dark forces. They reproduce extremely quickly and are numerous.

But in reality, they are not quite the orcs that Li Xia knew.

Because they are not a combination of humans and beastmen, but rather a degenerate form of humans.

To be more precise, they are more like goblins. Most of them are short in stature and like to live in burrows. Even a farmer can easily take down one or two of them with a pitchfork.

However, if they ride on a dire wolf, their combat power will increase by one level, making them a force to be reckoned with.

"Drip drip"

Scott's combat glasses emitted a short alarm sound and immediately displayed the specific quantity on the glasses.

There are 22 biological reactions, 10 of which are superimposed, which is roughly 5 dire wolf orcs and 12 ordinary orcs.
In terms of combat strength, the 12 ordinary Orks were not particularly strong, with their strength mostly between 3 and 4, which was only because they had shields and weapons.

However, the combat strength of those five dire wolves suddenly increased to between 8 and 13, posing a slight threat.

"Humans?" A distorted voice, as if muttering with saliva in its mouth, echoed in the darkness, even though it had been given the Western language common to Lord of the Rings when it entered the world.

It took Li Xia a lot of effort to figure out what the strange voice was saying.

"Not a dwarf."

The Oc gradually emerged from the darkness, and by the dim light from the riverbank, Li Xia could make out their appearance.

First of all, it was dirty, extremely filthy, with skin in various shades of gray, and covered with wart-like bumps.

They wore almost no clothes, or simply wrapped rags and rough animal hides around their waists, and had short, coarse hair on their heads, or were bald.

Its sharp teeth protrude outwards like buck teeth, its small eyes gleam, and its limbs appear underdeveloped, making it quite bizarre.

They held crudely crafted weapons such as iron axes, clubs, and spears.

One of the Orks was clearly much better equipped, and it rode a gray wolf the size of a calf.

The moment the Oc emerged from the shadows, these three jumped up and ran like startled rabbits. It would be crazy not to run away from such a good opportunity!
The leader, Oak, first fixed his vicious little eyes on the three people who had already run far away on the other side of the river, then glanced at Li Xia, and waved his hand as if shooing away a moth in a dense forest:
"Kill him, then continue chasing the dwarves!"

The battle broke out abruptly, with neither side showing any desire to communicate.

An Orc raised its weapon, just opening its mouth to roar like its companions, when the silent tip of Night's spear slicing through the air.

The sharp blade chipped away at his teeth, piercing flesh like butter, and the roar was choked in his throat, turning into a whimper.

Li Xia drew his spear, and with a powerful thrust of his arms, the spear, accompanied by a whooshing sound, shoved back an Oc who was lunging down from a tree trunk.

The blade slashed from the top of his head down to his groin, spraying out a spurt of foul-smelling blood.

But many of the Orks were already red-eyed from the smell of their companions' blood, and several Dire wolves were drooling and panting heavily.

Unlike the stinging moths and spiders before, these orks were trained, though perhaps they weren't able to master overly sophisticated tactics.

However, within the small team unit, there was a good level of understanding and cooperation, and he hadn't forgotten that there were three spectators on the other side of the river.

Li Xia's gaze was somewhat solemn. He held his gun in both hands and his eyes darted around. Although he had just killed two Orks, the most important wolf riders were unharmed.

If they continue fighting like this, he might get injured. If he gets injured, those three might target him, and if he tries to fight back, he'll suffer even more serious injuries.
Perhaps it was because the two Oc had finally breathed their last that the notification from the Temple of Light suddenly popped up.

Contribution points? Ranking? Chest drop rate bonus?

There seemed to be a golden glint in his eyes.

But then again, if you're afraid of getting hurt and don't dare to fight, what's the difference between you and a salted fish?
However, in Li Xia's monocle, the three people had already run about 300 meters away; any further and they would exceed Scott's detection range.

That's quite savvy, but it's still not foolproof.
Li Xia dodged the horizontal axe swing, then bent down, gripping the ground tightly with both feet like screws, stomping hard with his front foot and pushing off with his back foot.

His whole body was like a spring, his shoulder slamming hard into Oak's chest, using the most famous "top elbow" technique in Bajiquan.

The Orc that was thrown into the air was as if it had been hit in the chest by a giant hammer, with a clear dent visible. It spat out a lot of blood and even knocked another Orc to the ground.

Gap!

"Hiss—" A huge amount of air was inhaled into the lungs, and the muscles in the legs suddenly bulged.

A faint shockwave rose from beneath his feet, causing the thick layer of fallen leaves to explode. Li Xia, like lightning, darted back the way he came.

When he broke through the encirclement, Li Xia forcibly rolled over, his feet carving two furrows in the ground. The long spear in his hand had been replaced with the TAC-50 he had just acquired.

At such close range, there's hardly any need to aim.

"Oh!"

A muffled gunshot rang out, and a burst of blood suddenly erupted from the chest of an Oc, who collapsed limply to the ground. Li Xia remained unmoved and swiftly pulled back the bolt of his gun.

The bright orange cartridge case had just been launched into the air when there was another bang, followed immediately by a second cartridge case.

Gunshots rang out five times in a very short period of time, and five Orks were either wounded or killed, including one Dire Wolf Ork whose arm was broken.

Li Xia finally understood why so many people were so enthusiastic about firearms—because they were so useful!

The only downside is that bullets are extremely expensive due to the temple's control.

If you have enough points, using the Void Magazine might even allow you to wipe out all the Orks.

Unfortunately, the points awarded by the Transcendence Hall cannot be used in the Hall of Light, at least not now.

Seeing his men suffer heavy casualties, the leader, Oak, almost went mad. He pulled on the reins of the dire wolf, waved his arms, and made strange syllables.

The remaining Orks immediately scattered, some taking off their bows and arrows and climbing up tree trunks or rocks.

Some removed their small shields and held them in front of them, slowly approaching, while several dire wolves leaped into the shadows.

It was only at this point that the differences between the military and gangs began to gradually become apparent.

Li Xia slowly exhaled, and the long spear Ye Ji appeared in his hand.

The real battle is only just beginning!
Come on, contribute some points!
