"Mom~"

"I'm the older sister, not the mother."

"Mother."

Chen Qian lay down by the bed and patiently taught him several more times, but her little brother opened his big, dark eyes and kept uttering the same two words.

She gently squeezed his soft little hand, pretending to put on a stern face: "Hmph, if you don't call me 'sister,' I won't play with you anymore."

After saying that, Chen Qian pretended to get up and walk towards the door, but her eyes kept falling on her younger brother.

"Ahhh~" The little guy really thought his sister wasn't going to play with him anymore, and he patted the bed in a panic. But the next second, he actually managed to make a somewhat muffled sound from his throat: "Sister... Sister..."

Chen Qian's eyes lit up upon hearing this.

She quickly ran back and hugged the chubby little boy, happily kissing his fragrant, plump cheeks several times.

"Yes, yes, I'm the older sister! Little brother, you can finally call me 'older sister'!"

"Sister~ Sister~ Big sister..."

Sensing her sister's happy mood, the little one was very clever and knew it was related to the pronunciation she had just learned. So she kept calling "sister, sister" and her pronunciation became more and more accurate.

"Oh, hey, hey, my little brother is so good."

Chen Qian was overjoyed and quickly ran out to share the surprise with her mother and grandmother.

"I wish Daddy was home..."

Finally, Chen Qian said with some regret.

Liu Xiaoli knew her daughter was starting to miss her father, so she hugged her and comforted her, saying, "It's okay, we can give Dad a surprise when he comes back."

……

"Ahh~"

Los Angeles, USA.

Chen Fusheng, who had been here for a week, suddenly sneezed. Not having caught a cold, he put down his pen, rubbed his nose, and said:

"Someone must be thinking about me again."

After saying that, he looked at a family photo taken in the Hall of Supreme Harmony last time, picked it up and wiped off any dust that wasn't actually there.

After a while, he gradually regained his composure, picked up his pen again, and continued creating.

This time, he did not write "Under the Hawthorn Tree", but a movie script called "Back to the Future".

This time, Chen Fusheng came to the United States for a longer period of time, and unlike last time, he was not in a rush and had a lot of free time. Therefore, his purpose was not just to rush the post-production of the film.
He had another plan—to stockpile scripts.

Stock up on scripts that haven't been officially approved yet but are expected to be huge hits in the future.

Currently, Chen Fusheng is writing "Back to the Future," which is the first film script he plans to stockpile.

Back to the Future – just from the name, you know it's a science fiction film.

Historically, it was directed by Robert Zemeckis, but the situation in the US is different from China; they have a producer-centric system.

So the central figure in this movie is actually Steven Spielberg.

Spielberg is also the director of "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial," a film that is still showing in theaters and has already grossed over $3 million in North America alone.

As for why Chen Fusheng hijacked the rights to "Back to the Future," it's because the film grossed $3.8 million worldwide when it was released in 1985.

Moreover, it's also a film series, with the second and third installments achieving considerable box office success. More importantly, it's not based on a novel, comic book, or game, and it hasn't been registered with the Writers Guild of America.

There are no copyright disputes.

In conclusion, Chen Fusheng chose this as the first script he wanted to stock up on during his trip to the United States.

At this moment, he briefly recalled the plot in his mind, then picked up his pen and continued writing:

Martin closed his eyes. In this house, he could hear the sound of dreams shattering every day, a faint yet persistent sound, like the slow, stubborn ticking of the old grandfather clock in the corner. Until that night, a huge loudspeaker roared in front of his window, illuminating the entire backyard…

"Time travel is about to become a reality!" Dr. Brown excitedly waved the device that was crackling with electricity, his gray hair looking as if it had been through a static storm. When he pulled back the curtain to reveal the DeLorean bicycle modified into a time machine, Martin felt for the first time that the gears of fate had begun to turn...

……

This film mainly tells the story of Martin traveling back to 1955 in a time machine invented by Dr. Brown, and getting involved in his parents' emotional entanglements in their youth. Later films like Jia Ling's "The Legend of Li Huanying" and Han Han's "Duckweed" also borrowed this formula.

……

"Phew, the script for 'Back to the Future' is finally finished."

On Wednesday evening, after dinner, Chen Fusheng added an ending to the already limited plot, then reviewed it himself and corrected some typos.

It was still early, and Chen Fusheng wasn't sleepy at all. So he took out a new sheet of paper, thought for a moment, and then wrote down the name of his second script.

Home Alone

Similar to Back to the Future, Home Alone is also a box office phenomenon in history.

This comedy film, directed by Chris Columbus and written by John Hughes, grossed nearly $1800 million worldwide on a budget of only $4.7 million after its release in 1990, becoming one of the highest-grossing comedy films in film history.

It also successfully spawned a series, and the sequel continued to perform impressively.

More importantly, it is a completely original script. The core idea is a comedy about a child using his wit to fight against two bumbling thieves. It has an ingenious structure, does not rely on any existing IP, and has clear copyright, which is exactly what Chen Fusheng wanted.

With this in mind, he continued writing:

Kevin McAllister's Christmas wish was simple: to make his pesky brother Bass and his entire noisy family disappear.

However, when he woke up the next day and found that he was really all alone in the huge house, his ecstasy lasted for less than a morning before a huge sense of loneliness and fear of the "wet bandits" quietly spread.

But at this moment, the eight-year-old had to straighten his little chest and use his endless creativity to turn his home into an impregnable fortress—he set up tripwires with miniature race cars, hung a scorching iron on the porch, and had that bucket of paint that would soon come in very handy.

Snowflakes fluttered outside the window, illuminating the tranquil suburbs of Chicago, while inside, a hilarious family battle, led by the children, was about to begin...

……

The third installment, *Léon: The Professional*

……

The fourth installment, "Ghost"!
This is also the last of Chen Fusheng's script-stockpiling plan in the United States.

This film tells the story of Sam, a young bank employee, who is deeply in love with his fiancée, Milie. However, on their way home from a movie, they are robbed, and Sam is tragically shot and killed. He unexpectedly becomes a ghost and, with the help of a medium, protects Milie while exposing the killer. In the end, he leaves peacefully after fulfilling his wishes.

Historically, when the film was released in 1990, it not only grossed an astonishing $5.05 million worldwide with a budget of less than $2200 million, becoming the highest-grossing film of the year, but also deeply moved audiences around the world with its poignant love story, winning the Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Screenplay that year.

Because only half of the post-production work for "Die Hard" was completed after the three screenplays were finished, Chen Fusheng eventually wrote the novel "Under the Hawthorn Tree".

He wrote 11 words of the novel, and by the time he finished writing it, the post-production of the film was also completed.

"It's already December, time to go back to China!"
