Chapter 108 Remarks on the launch

Just like the immortals who only want to lie down and be equal to the heavens, this book has been quite controversial from the very beginning.

This may be related to my personal creative style. I will not destroy the original story framework or the proper trajectory of the characters' personalities just because I am afraid of being criticized.

Lu Zhao is probably the most troublesome protagonist I've ever written. In terms of creating satisfying moments, he limited me from using many of the techniques commonly used in online novels.

Some people think Lu Zhao is too rigid, that all his troubles are self-inflicted, and that he should have given in from the beginning.

Some people felt that Lu Zhao had his own selfish motives, was not righteous enough, and was not a saint enough; he had even bowed his head before.

But this is the persona I envisioned for him: wavering between two sides in each choice, neither an absolute saint nor a greedy and ambitious schemer.

He will follow the trajectory of the story, walking amidst interests and dangers, groping his way forward in the dark, and finally firmly walking on the path he believes is right.

Before this, he was persistent and patient, so rigidity was a better starting point for him and me than resourcefulness.

I can't be sure I can write about a warrior of steel, but at least rigidity is closer to steel.
