Mystery: The Last Shepherd
Chapter 329 Sea Experiments
Chapter 329 Sea Experiments
Lu Ze summoned the ocean tide in his mind, then imagined the tide appearing outside his body and engulfing him.
"Wow—"
Soon, a thick, ethereal liquid surged in from all directions. This liquid was deep black, yet it seemed to contain all other colors, and it directly submerged Lu Ze's body. A cacophony of frenzied roars echoed in his mind as he plummeted into the sea until the surroundings suddenly lightened, and the sound of the ocean waves rang out with crystal clarity.
Opening his eyes, Lu Ze found himself on that illusory sea. He and M were standing on the surface of the water, the tide lapping at their feet.
Although it wasn't his first time here, he was still amazed by the strange scenery.
"Wow—"
This is a vast sea, its horizon and overhead obscured by a white mist. Beyond the mist, in a place currently unseen, stands the true Creator. If that's the case, what lies on the other side of the mist above?
Lu Ze looked around and couldn't help but have this thought in his mind.
Of course, he didn't forget the purpose of his visit. He reached inside his body and extracted Katie's soul.
"This is where?"
She said, confused and terrified, and Lu Ze tightened his fingers slightly, so she just kept howling and stopped asking questions.
"How do you do it? Just soak it in seawater?"
Lu Ze looked at M.
Upon returning, he suddenly felt that what the other person had said wasn't very reliable. This seawater was murky, dark, and viscous, looking extremely dangerous. If a human soul were placed inside, it would likely quickly become tainted with something strange.
"You can't soak it directly; this sea is still very dangerous."
M replied.
"Since seawater is so dangerous, do you still believe it can nourish the soul?" Lu Ze asked coldly. "Are you kidding me?"
You tried to convince me with those words, but now you're saying it's dangerous here. You've said everything you could want!
"Haven't you noticed yet?"
M's expression didn't change, but he pointed to the ground beneath his feet, "Of this sea area, only a small section is under your control. The sea area you control is safe."
Upon hearing this, Lu Ze couldn't help but look down.
Sure enough, just as she said, the seawater beneath his feet was different. Compared to the seawater further away, the seawater beneath his feet was calmer and clearer. Although it hadn't completely turned black, it wasn't as murky either. It was as if some impurities in the seawater had been removed.
This area of sea is not large, existing only within a three to five meter radius around him. As he walks on the water, this area of sea moves with him, keeping him always at the center.
Indeed, this seawater is somewhat different.
Lu Ze thought to himself, and opened his arms.
The seawater beneath his feet rose and fell with his thoughts, transforming into a stream that he controlled, sometimes rising and sometimes falling. As the seawater filled his body, he sensed the abilities of other sequences and grasped the corresponding authority.
When his spirituality extended towards the distant sea, the chaotic waters only gave him a dull response, not accepting his control. Like a dog he wasn't very familiar with, it wouldn't pounce and bite, but it also wouldn't cooperate much with him.
"Does this mean I don't have enough control over this place?"
He seemed to be talking to himself, or perhaps asking M a question.
"Very likely." "How can we increase our level of control?"
"Continue to be promoted."
M replied, "Once you are promoted to 'Black Knight,' you should be able to control a much larger area than you do now."
"Ah."
Lu Ze nodded slightly, agreeing with her point of view.
The difference between Sequence 5 and Sequence 4 is enormous. The former is at most a mid-sequence powerhouse, while the latter is known as "demigod-human," their life levels are completely different. Ince Zangwill is a Sequence 4, and with Luze's current abilities, he probably can't defeat him. But it is precisely because of this that he has such a strong obsession with advancing to the next level and achieving revenge as soon as possible.
Back to the present, Lu Ze looked at the sea and was somewhat troubled.
How do you immerse your soul?
When he exists here, this independent sea can form, repelling other seawater. However, when he leaves, this seawater will likely mix with other seawater, becoming completely diluted. Not only will it have no effect, but it will also harm his soul.
This area is quite similar to Mr. Fool's Gray Mist Castle. It would be nice if there were a table like there.
He thought to himself.
"Boom!"
A dull thud rose from beneath his feet, startling him, and something surfaced with it. It was a ring of gray stones, clustered together, forming what looked like the edge of something, rising above the water. The object that made it up had a smooth, warm texture, yet it was incredibly hard.
what?
Lu Ze examined it closely and discovered that the gray stone was enclosed below its edges, resembling a pool. Much of the object was hidden beneath the surface, obscured by the murky, dark water, its full form obscured.
"what is this?"
He asked M.
"I don't know, I've never seen it before."
The latter shook his head, equally puzzled. "Is it related to you?"
"Yes, I was thinking before, it would be great if there were something similar to the gray fog." Lu Ze also had some doubts. He looked at the gray thing, silently thinking about making it rise or fall. However, after it appeared, the thing stopped responding to Lu Ze and remained completely still, as if it had always remained in that state.
"No, I can't control it."
Luze abandoned his attempt to manipulate it. He circled the edge of the gray stone but couldn't see anything further below. He instinctively guessed that it might be part of some kind of structure.
However, although it is unknown what it is or what its relationship is with this sea, it provides a place for the soul to rest—it rises from Lu Ze's feet, and the pool-like structure is filled with seawater under Lu Ze's control.
"This thing should stay put. Even if I leave, it won't go down," Lu Ze thought to himself, before placing Katie's wisp of soul into the seawater in the pool.
"Gurgling."
The soul was as light as if it had no weight, while the seawater was viscous and heavy. Lu Ze had thought that Katie's soul would float on the surface of the water, but to his surprise, it sank to the bottom. He took a step forward and, through the not-so-deep water, saw Katie's soul lying at the bottom of the pool, enveloped by the seawater. Her blurred face did not show any pain, but rather appeared peaceful.
Her previously damaged soul seemed to be nourished and was slowly recovering.
It seems like that would work.
Lu Ze thought to himself.
However, this is only a temporary solution; we still need to continue to observe.
