Mystery: The Last Shepherd
Chapter 360 Silver Armor
Chapter 360 Silver Armor
Luze examined the tarot cards in his hand.
On this tarot card, the following image is drawn—
A colossal demon crouched on the stone platform, its head adorned with ram's horns, its back with bat wings, and its lower body covered in animal fur and hooves. The demon held a torch upside down in one hand, and raised the other hand vertically, palm facing the card.
A naked man and woman are shrouded in the shadow of a demon. Their bodies are twisted in a demonic way, chains are around their necks, and their eyes are glazed over, as if they have fallen into an abyss and become slaves to the demon in body and mind.
What surprised Luze the most was the demon that dominated the main part of the card. It had a human face, a beard, and a rather imposing presence. However, because its body was demonic, this majesty became twisted and eerie.
And Lu Ze happened to recognize this face.
Russell Gustav, his own time-traveling predecessor!
At the very top of the card, starlight condenses into a line of text:
"Sequence 0: The Abyss".
Is this a card of blasphemy?
Luze had seen something similar before. The red evil spirit from the Quaternary ruins had shown it to him and promised it as a reward for saving him.
Roselle's secret diary also contains relevant records. In the diary, he claims to have recorded all the potion recipes and rituals of extraordinary methods, and made them into twenty-two blasphemous cards, which were then distributed.
In other words, the card I have in my hand should be one of them. As for the specific method, it is undoubtedly the demonic method.
So, the sequence 0 of this path is called "Abyss". No wonder that demigod cared so much about this card, after all, it contains the method to become the true god of his path!
As Lu Ze looked at the tarot card, many thoughts flashed through his mind.
He didn't examine the cards more closely, but instead put them in his inner pocket, intending to study them later.
Having installed the "Blasphemy Token," Lu Ze looked up and noticed something a dozen meters in front of him. It was a blood-soaked mass of flesh, its original shape unrecognizable.
Cons's remains.
Lu Ze couldn't help but sigh softly as he approached the mass of flesh and blood.
"Unfortunately."
He said, "We couldn't keep that guy."
The corpse remained silent, yet he, as the "shepherd," seemed to hear the lingering soul within it still uttering angry cries.
To be honest, Constance's fate was entirely innocent; he and his family were simply caught in the crossfire. His father was killed and replaced simply because of the need to play the devil; and because of the need to complete the mission, his family was eliminated, leaving him as the vessel for his enemy.
However, the extraordinary world is cruel and chaotic, without any reason.
After standing there for a few seconds, Lu Ze turned around and walked back to where he had been standing. He had been chased so fast by the "Singer of God" that he hadn't even had time to pick up the "Lucky Wheel" after it fell to the ground.
The distant rumble of thunder indicated the ongoing battle between the two demigods. The longer the stalemate continued, the more advantageous it would be for the "Singer of Gods," as other reinforcements within the city would gradually converge and launch a coordinated attack. This was also why the demon North had not engaged in direct combat but instead attempted to escape.
When Lu Ze returned to the street he had just been on, he found the destroyed coffee shop empty; the couple had long since fled.
There's definitely something strange about them. Never mind.
Lu Ze bent down and picked up the silver-white revolver that had fallen to the ground. He examined it briefly and then paused for a moment.
It turned out that a strange symbol had appeared on the grip of this revolver at some point. The symbol was circular in shape and made of lines, resembling a snake coiling and devouring its own tail; or it resembled the "infinity" symbol from mathematics, intertwined and looping endlessly.
The "Lucky Wheel" falling out was not an accident, but rather a deliberate act by some being!
But why would the other party leave a mark? Was it to make contact with me? Just as Lu Ze was looking at the revolver, somewhat puzzled, he suddenly shuddered.
"Thump thump".
"Kaka..."
Heavy footsteps and the clanging of armor pieces echoed simultaneously at the end of the street. In the greyish-white mist, something seemed to be approaching step by step.
The sound seemed to strike his heart heavily, making it hard for him to breathe.
Lu Ze instinctively felt uneasy; his spirit was warning him that what was about to appear would be extremely dangerous, even more so than the two demigods he had just encountered. Even though that thing wasn't targeting him, he felt a sharp pain all over his body, as if he would be sliced apart by invisible blades in the next instant!
Get out of here quickly!
Before that thing appeared, Lu Ze did not hesitate to activate "Grazing," driving Mr. A's soul and then activating his "Recorder" ability.
"crash"
"I came, I saw, I recorded."
The illusory pages turned incessantly, accompanied by a distant, ethereal sound, reproducing the recorded ability to "travel." Then, the scenery around Luze rapidly changed, its edges blurred, its colors vivid, like an overly painted oil painting.
"Thump thump".
"Kaka."
As the "journey" was about to end, the footsteps and the clanging of metal grew clearer, and a tall figure gradually emerged from the mist.
It was a full suit of silver-white armor, with a large patch of congealed blood splattered from the left shoulder down. It was impossible to tell how long the blood had been there, but it looked as if it had just been splashed there!
Because the "journey" had already begun, the surrounding scenery was blurred, but the silver-white armor remained clearly imprinted in Lu Ze's eyes.
The armor seemed to notice Lu Ze's gaze, and suddenly stopped, turned its head, and looked at him.
"call!"
The world before my eyes became completely blurred, and even the armor was no exception.
Lu Ze entered the spirit world, but quickly left, and the surrounding scenery gradually returned to clarity. He saw the furnishings in his bedroom and his pet black cat, Luna.
"Meow?"
Luna was squatting on the bedside table in the bedroom, tilting her head in confusion as if she hadn't expected Luze to be there at all.

Meanwhile, in the Joewood district.
The spot where Luze had just stood had been sliced open by invisible blades, leaving the ground a mess. The silver-white armor glanced at that spot, then turned and charged back towards the direction where the two demigods were fighting.
"Crack!"
Thunder roared, accompanied by the furious howls of the devil Cons. He seemed to sense the approaching danger, but the "Singer of God" held him fast, preventing him from escaping.
The silver-white armor stepped into the thick fog. Moments later, a dazzling light pierced through the fog, bathing everything in the morning glow.
