Mystery: The Last Shepherd

Chapter 391 The Blood Cultivator Has Arrived!

Chapter 391 The Blood Cultivator Has Arrived!
Luze stood atop the remaining spire of the "Clock of Order," facing the palace that towered over the entirety of Backlund, and took a deep breath.

"George Augustus!"

He roared in a voice loud enough to be heard throughout the entire palace, his tone filled with rage and madness, “The real culprits of the ‘Great Smog’! The despicable ones who should not be kings!”

As soon as he said that, the entire palace seemed to fall silent for a moment.

"I've come to demand justice from you on behalf of the deceased!"

"Dengdengdeng!"

The sound of hurried footsteps and the clanging of armor rang out as a squad of guards rushed over. They were dashing and imposing, dressed in red dresses and white trousers, draped in sashes, and carrying rifles, looking extremely formidable.

They appear to be the palace guards.

"Line up!"

The leading officer raised his ceremonial sword, and the guards quickly lined up in front of him, one group standing and the other crouching, all pointing their powerful steam rifles at him.

"Fire!"

"Bang bang bang!"

A series of loud noises followed, as the high-pressure steam generated powerful energy, slamming into the guards' shoulders and simultaneously propelling bullets out!

A cloud of blood mist immediately rose from Lu Ze's body, and he was torn apart by the bullet, turning into countless pieces scattered on the ground.

"Stop shooting!"

The chief said.

Seeing Luze's miserable state, he couldn't help but sneer, thinking, "These reckless rebels may not know how they managed to sneak into Sodrak Palace, but daring to break in means certain death."

"Captain, captain!"

The terrified cries of his guards jolted him awake. He instinctively looked up and discovered that the pool of blood and body parts had actually begun to move again!
"Wow—"

Blood flowed down from the tower, growing ever more abundant, quickly transforming into a raging, crimson river!
"Storm above, what the hell is this—"

The captain of the guards screamed, his eyes wide, as the surging river rushed toward them. He and his guards turned to run, but they were no match for the river's speed and were quickly swallowed up by the blood river, disappearing without a trace.

At the top of the blood-red river, a woman in a white robe emerged. She reached into the water and pulled out the captain of the guard's bloodied head, which was contorted with pain.

"He is in the imperial palace."

M extracts information from the deceased's brain and gives Lu Ze directions.

So the river surged once more, heading deeper into the palace.

"Wow!"

A raging river of blood surged past the palace where the party was being held, creating a shocking and terrifying scene that made the nobles inside scream in fright.

Audrey stared in disbelief at the river as it flowed deeper into the palace.

What shocked her was not only the strange river, but also the person who had just appeared on the clock tower!

[Temperance] Sir!
"It's a Blood Cultivator!"

Suddenly, someone in the crowd shouted in utter terror, "The Blood Cultivator is here!"

This was a member of MI9, who had been secretly investigating Lu Ze. Seeing that he displayed such obvious characteristics, they immediately guessed his identity.

Inside the palace, many people immediately showed expressions of surprise, while others seemed even more confused.

Audrey, however, was not among them; her heart was filled with complex emotions.

Even after the severe smog, she was still not allowed by her parents to leave Queens. However, considering the devastation of the plague, she was still worried about this Tarot Club member with influence in the East End. But to her surprise, the two met again in the Royal Palace!
Mr. Temperance is so crazy that he wants to break into the palace and attack the king himself!
Moreover, according to him, the real culprit behind the smog was actually George III.
Panic, surprise, confusion, anger—a multitude of emotions surged within Audrey. She had no idea whether to trust Temperance, whether to help him, or…
That's right! We should report this to Mr. Fool first!
Audrey suddenly became alert, then looked around, trying to find a chance to escape her mother and pray.

Meanwhile, inside the King's palace.

"Your Majesty, what did that voice mean by 'the real culprit behind the severe smog'?"

The representatives of the three churches all looked suspicious. Among them, the black-robed priest representing the Church of the Goddess stepped forward and asked directly.

"It's just this madman talking to himself."

King George III's face was grim, as if he truly didn't know what had happened; his anger seemed more like the result of the royal honor being tainted by an attacker.

"Georgina! You're coming too!"

He shouted, "Anyone else here, go over there and make sure you catch this blasphemous scoundrel!"

"Yes, Your Majesty."

A woman dressed in a style reminiscent of a century ago appeared before the hall, bowed, and then left.

—Duchess Georgina, one of the two demigods in the royal family, a Sequence 4 Law Mage.

"Your Majesty, please allow me to also participate in the fight to uphold the honor of the royal family."

Just as the duchess was leaving, another voice rang out.

The voice belonged to a broad-shouldered, burly man with thick, neat black eyebrows, a buzz cut, deep blue to almost black eyes, and a large mustache around his mouth. Combined with his strong facial features, he had a tough, masculine air about him.

"who are you?"

George III asked.

“Your Majesty, I am Chunas Korg, the deputy director of MI9, a Chaos Mentor of Sequence 5.”

The visitor bowed respectfully. "I possess two powerful extraordinary items, granting me abilities approaching demigod level. The one who attacked the palace must be the guy codenamed 'Blood Monk,' the mastermind behind the 'Kapin Case' and a series of other incidents."

"Alright, enough talk, go help Georgina and catch that guy!"

King George III seemed to recall having such a minister, and immediately waved his hand to interrupt him.

"Yes!"

Seeing that he had successfully made an impression on the king, Chunas was thrilled. He dared not disturb George III any further and quickly turned and left.

"Your Majesty, do you require our assistance?"

The representatives of the three major churches asked calmly.

"No need, he's just a madman, the royal family can handle him."

George III coldly refused.

The three representatives exchanged glances. Although the king claimed he had nothing to do with the smog, the seeds of suspicion had been sown, and eradicating them wouldn't be so easy.

As for Earl Hall and the others, they were even more shocked, but because of the presence of “outsiders” from the church, they did not show it.

Distance was no obstacle for Chunas; he took only a few steps, twisting the rules, crossing the palace, and arriving directly at the scene of the battle.

He could do this so easily because he was not Sequence 5 as he claimed, but rather a hidden Sequence 4.

Upon arriving at the scene, he saw the Duchess leading her guards in a battle against a raging river of blood.

Countless blood-red figures are rising from the river, each fighting their own battle.
