Mystery: The Last Shepherd

Chapter 437 Landing on the Island

Chapter 437 Landing on the Island
"We meet again."

Old-fashioned gentleman Barros Hopkins said with a smile.

The massive black sailboat was very close, blocking out the sunlight and casting a heavy, expansive shadow over their ship. Lu Ze was tense, watching the old-fashioned gentleman on the opposite ship with extreme vigilance.

How did the "King of the Black Seat" end up here?

Why didn't the Queen catch up?
Damn it! After so much hardship, I finally arrived at this island and saw hope for promotion, but at this crucial moment, I ran into this troublesome guy again!
calm
Lu Ze took a deep breath.

"Wow—"

He immediately summoned a phantom sea tide to protect his spirit.

"Rumble"

On the large black ship, the sailors quickly adjusted the cannons, their dark muzzles aimed downwards from all sides of the ship, displaying a silent deterrent.

As for Baros himself, he observed them with great interest. The next moment, transparent ripples, like water, appeared around his wheelchair, quickly spreading out and blending into the surrounding environment.

Something seemed to have changed imperceptibly.

"Wow!"

In Lu Ze's mind, the illusory sound of ocean waves surged and he reacted automatically. Then, with a "crack," as if large pieces of glass around him had shattered, he abruptly opened his eyes, waking up from the false dream.

"Ahhh."

Beside him, Anderson lay with his eyes closed, trapped in a terrifying nightmare. Though his face was contorted with intense terror, he was unable to wake up!
"Ah"

Seeing this, the old-fashioned gentleman on the bow of the ship gently shook his head, "You are indeed extraordinary to be able to resist the dream I have woven."

This guy was trying to pull me into a dream!

Lu Ze stared coldly at him, his right hand outstretched, and a blazing magma sword swiftly formed; in his left sleeve, "Pain" was also secretly clenched, ready to be unleashed at any moment. Behind him, a dozen flesh puppets surged onto the deck, their bodies crimson, echoing the ripples on his red robes, seemingly merging into one.

"Calm down, don't be so impulsive."

Barros ran his fingers along the armrest of his wheelchair, his eyes fixed on Luze, and said calmly, "We can still talk."

What should we talk about? How did you attack me before?

Lu Ze stared at him coldly.

The other party is a high-level extraordinary individual in the "spectator" pathway. How could I possibly chat with him? If we chat, he might exploit my psychological weaknesses and then modify my will, turning me into his puppet!

"Don't worry, as long as that special thing about you exists, I won't be able to control you in the short term. At least for now, we can still talk."

The King of Black seemed to see through his thoughts and smiled.

Just listen to him continue:
"That black key doesn't belong to you, nor are you obligated to safeguard it for the Queen. It's merely a heavy burden in your possession. I expect you to return it to me, and I will pay you a generous reward."

"It would be best if we could resolve this without a fight. If possible, I don't want you to get hurt."

Barros's tone was gentle and sincere, with subtle hints that made one feel compelled to agree.

Lu Ze responded with a cold laugh.

"Isn't that the opposite?"

He retorted decisively, "The reason you haven't made a move isn't because you don't want to hurt me, but because you're afraid of me." This guy is afraid of that tidal wave!

Otherwise, if we pair sequence 3 with sequence 5, what's the point of all this nonsense!

"."

The "King of the Black Seat" paused subtly for a moment, then smiled again. This time, his smile was much deeper. The giant ship he was on began to tremble slightly, and the expressionless sailors began loading ammunition.

"This is the second time you've rejected me."

Barros sighed, "Really not going to give it to us?"

Give it to your mom.
"boom!"

Before Lu Ze could even utter a curse, he saw an explosion occur on the flagship of the Black King; it had been bombarded!
"Zizzi."

The flagship's sails were corroded by a strange energy, instantly creating large holes. What struck it were not ordinary cannonballs, but enchanted ones. Looking towards the distance from where the cannonballs came from, the "Dawn" could be seen several miles away on the sea.

It's the "mysterious queen" Bernadette!
She finally arrived! Oh no!

Lu Ze was initially overjoyed, but then his expression hardened, and he became extremely vigilant.

He quickly looked at "King of the Black Seat" Baros.

If Barros still had the strength to contend with him just now, now that the Queen has appeared, he has no spare time. He must seize the key by the most drastic means before the Queen arrives. Even if he still has some reservations, he is willing to take some risks!
In other words, Lu Ze is facing his biggest crisis right now!

Just as Luze had expected, Baros narrowed his eyes, and an invisible wave gathered around him.
Here, here's what you wanted!

But before Baros could activate his ability, Luze shouted. A black key had appeared in his right hand, drawing Baros's attention. The spiritual energy emanating from that black key was extraordinary; without a doubt, it was the real deal!

The "King of the Black Seat" couldn't help but look at the key, seeing it being grabbed by Lu Ze, arced through the air, and thrown into the sea?!
"boom!"

At the same moment, Lu Ze's body transformed into a fireball and shot towards the fog-shrouded island. He didn't even hesitate to throw away the key and plunged into the dangerous depths of the fog.

"."

Baros's gaze lingered on the fading flames of Luze for a moment, then, seeing him completely disappear into the mist, he made no attempt to stop him. Sensing the rapidly approaching Queen, he shifted his gaze back and began to connect with the spirits of the fish in the water, directing them to search for traces of the key where it had fallen.

This is the most important thing to him!
Unfortunately, the "King of the Black Seat" will be disappointed this time.

Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. In – she held a research position at Reykjavík Art Museum focusing on the role of women in Icelandic art. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.

"They're back after all."

Luze looked at the black key in his palm and sneered. The key that Rosell made was not so simple. It had already been shown in previous experiments that when it was too far away from its bound holder, it would return to the holder in a strange way.

Idiot, go try to fish it out of the sea. You'd be lucky to catch it.
He put the key back into his body and looked around.

The fog was thick and silent, and visibility was extremely low. Although we had only just reached the edge, the sounds of the outside world were already completely blocked out.

"Wow"

The sound of the ocean waves echoed in Lu Ze's mind. He took a deep breath and walked into the depths of the fog.
