Mystery: The Last Shepherd
Chapter 45 Sharon
Chapter 45 Sharon
"What's wrong? Say something!"
Mrs. Sharon looked at the speechless person opposite her and said impatiently.
"But, but"
The hooded man looked around anxiously and fearfully. "Something's happening! Something's really, really wrong!"
"What nonsense are you talking about?"
Mrs. Sharon grew increasingly impatient. Just as she was about to question the other party, her vision was suddenly stained red with blood.
"Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah!"
The hooded man let out a miserable wail, as if an invisible blade had pierced through his chest and abdomen, instantly creating a huge wound!
Mrs. Sharon and the girl beside her were splattered with blood and were momentarily stunned, unable to react. It wasn't until the other person's screams rang out that they were brought back to their senses.
"Triss, step back!"
Despite being covered in blood, Mrs. Sharon possessed a strange and alluring charm. She dismissed the girl beside her, and with a flick of her right hand, a charred black wooden staff about 20 centimeters long appeared in her palm. It was a special item created by her witch powers: a magic wand.
"He's cursed!"
Mrs. Sharon exclaimed angrily, "He didn't even realize it himself, what an idiot!"
She raised her charred wand, and with a low chant, a beam of dark light shot from the tip of the wand, forming a black hemispherical light membrane above the hooded man's body. Her protection had barely been activated when she saw the surface of the black hemispherical light membrane dent, as if an invisible blade were piercing towards her.
The invisible stab failed to penetrate the light membrane and retreated after a few seconds.
"Ah"
Just as a smile appeared on Mrs. Sharon's face, a blood-red light suddenly appeared above!
"boom!"
The malevolent curse, carrying the resentment of death, crashed down. The protective barrier couldn't withstand it and shattered with a cracking sound. The hooded man below didn't even have time to scream before he was smashed into a pool of blood and flesh!
"puff!"
Blood, mixed with human tissue, splattered everywhere, as if the entire room had been coated with a layer of red paint.
"Chichi-"
The splattered flesh and blood were corrosive, scorching the entire room and causing it to smoke.
"Aaaaaah—my face! My face!"
Mrs. Sharon's wand shattered into two pieces, and she screamed, covering her face. Her bare, rounded arms and slender, white legs beneath her evening gown—the places affected by the curse—began to mutate! Ugly lumps of flesh sprouted beneath her alluring, fair skin, resembling unopened flower buds.
Her hair began to grow thicker and move on its own even without wind, as if each strand had its own independent life.
The girl named Triss was lucky enough to escape because she hid behind Mrs. Sharon. She looked at Mrs. Sharon rolling on the ground, and her eyes showed a complex mix of schadenfreude and worry. She stood quietly to the side, letting the other woman wail.
After a few seconds, Mrs. Sharon's screams subsided, the tumor slowly receded, and her hair returned to normal. Triss then spoke, "Are you alright?"
"It's the aura of the true creator! The Aurora Society! These lunatics! I told them long ago not to associate with these lunatics!"
Mrs. Sharon struggled to her feet. Half of her head was corroded and rotten, including her smooth, alluring hair that cascaded down her back and her pitifully attractive face. Half of it was burned away, revealing bright red flesh, which formed a horrifying contrast with the other half.
She hysterically cursed the Aurora Club.
When Triss saw the other person's appearance, her eyes widened in surprise, and she lowered her head.

The next day, Blackthorn Security Company.
"The manager of William Shipping Company is Mr. Pound, right? He, the company's boss, and several other senior executives have all been arrested."
After returning from a busy night, Dunn said this to Luze, who was waiting for him.
Lu Ze was somewhat surprised. He looked at Leonard, who had followed Dunn out, and asked doubtfully, "This is a case discovered by our night watchmen. Shouldn't we be the ones making the arrests and investigating?"
Last night, upon receiving the news, Dunn led his team and relevant police officers to William Shipping Company in the port area. Seeing a ship full of Southern Continent people, they were stunned and unsure how to proceed. However, Luze didn't bother with it. Using the excuse that the ritual had taken too much energy, he returned to Blackthorn Security Company alone, leaving Leonard to help. Back at the company, he took the opportunity to change out of his blood-stained shirt to avoid frightening Cecilia when he went home.
“William Shipping Company’s business involved colonies in the Southern Continent and was linked to the military. They forcibly took it away.”
Leonard explained, looking very annoyed, "We had just arrived downstairs at Pound's house when they showed up. There wasn't even time for the captain to investigate in a dream. The military said it involved military secrets and forbade us from investigating."
"I have a feeling they're covering something up? The Extraordinary Ones from that night also seemed to be there to silence us."
Lu Ze frowned, recalling the sharp stab from last night, his chest still felt a dull ache, "There must be something fishy about this."
When he got back that night, he did some research. The extraordinary individual was agile and swift, jumping from heights without any burden. His attacks were fierce and ruthless, targeting the opponent's weaknesses. These characteristics were very similar to a sequence called "Assassin," which seemed to be related to the "Witch Cult" and the "Gnostic Society."
Both of these organizations are clandestine and hostile to the government. Could the military have connections with them?
“I have already informed the Holy See of the situation, and the Holy See will negotiate with the military.” Dunn’s deep eyes remained calm. “Until then, we should not act rashly.”
Both nodded to indicate that they understood. Forcing an investigation at this time might give others grounds for criticism, so they decided to let the higher-ups handle the communication.
After giving them a few more instructions, Dunn left in a hurry. He had many things to take care of, leaving Leonard and Luzer alone in the room.
"Are you okay?"
Leonard looked at Luzer's chest and asked in a low voice.
"Ah."
Luze patted the wound, producing a dull, even echo that made Leonard's eyelids twitch wildly.
He hesitated for a moment, then looked around to make sure no one was watching before leaning closer and asking in a low voice, "What happened to you?"
"I am not sure as well."
Lu Ze feigned ignorance and said, "Ever since I was sacrificed to the evil god and forced to take the magic potion, and after all that messing around, my body has become very easy to heal."
"."
Leonard seemed to find this statement hard to accept, and struggled with it for a long time.
"Did you sense anything unusual?"
He asked, unwilling to give up.
"No."
Lu Ze replied, "Keep it a secret for me. My sister will worry if she finds out."
He patted Leonard on the shoulder, his tone pleading.
Leonard nodded helplessly, turned and left the lounge, heading towards the underground armory.
"Did you find anything?"
At the deserted spiral staircase, he muttered to himself, then tilted his head to listen for a moment, but quickly revealed a dissatisfied expression, pursing his lips, "Old man, you're really useless."
Inside the lounge, Lu Ze stretched.
The Secret Prayer Potion in his body had been mostly digested, with only a small portion remaining unresponsive. Perhaps there was still something about the laws he hadn't fully grasped.
Last night was really dangerous.
If it weren't for his amazing ability to regenerate flesh and blood, he would have died that very night.
Perhaps I should agree to help Azik; he is a high-sequence powerhouse who can help me improve myself.
With that thought in mind, Lu Ze made up his mind to go back and ask for Klein Azik's address, and then pay him a visit.
