I summoned the Fourth Scourge in Warhammer
Chapter 65: Damn, ice!
Chapter 65: Damn, ice!
At the rest area, [Name? Not decided yet] jumped off his bed and went to each of the other players' rest areas to call for help.
"Want to come and take a look around this factory?" He knocked on the other players' hatches.
"Visit? Visit what?" A player poked his head out from inside.
"Aren't you curious to see what Warhammer Factory looks like?" the name exclaimed excitedly.
"Hey, now that you mention it, I'm really interested. Let's go, let's go!" The other person immediately perked up.
"I'm not going. I have to play Werewolf with the third class later." Some players also expressed their lack of interest.
After asking around, a tour group of more than a dozen players was officially formed. They walked out of the rest area with great confidence and soon stopped a mech servant who was patrolling the corridor.
The leader spoke first: "This one... uh..."
The servant's monotonous synthesized voice immediately responded: "Sir, you may call me [Uranium HJ354]."
"That sounds like it has a high radiation level..." he muttered under his breath, but still politely asked, "Could you show us around the factory?"
“Excuse me, sir,” the mechanical head of Uranium HJ354 tilted slightly, “I need to request permission from Father Oshemia.”
"Then hurry up," Name urged, "Just take us to a place that isn't secret, we can just look around."
The servant stood still for a moment, as if conducting some kind of data transmission or internal communication. After a short while, its single mechanical eye flashed and it said, "Father Osimha has approved your application. Please follow me. I will temporarily act as your guide, but some classified areas will remain closed."
"Okay, okay, hurry up!" the players urged impatiently.
Uranium HJ354 takes players through the labyrinthine corridors and production lines of the Trinity foundry. Giant robotic arms swing through the air with deafening roars; molten metal cascades down like waterfalls, and steam and sparks intertwine to create an industrial epic.
“This production line has a history of thousands of years,” the flat voice of Uranium HJ354 could be clearly heard amidst the noise. “The position of every screw and every weld mark has withstood the test of thousands of years and is a profound manifestation of the wisdom of Om Messiah. Every process of its operation strictly follows ancient doctrines and sacred blueprints.”
The players were all amazed by the magnificent sight before them, which was beyond their wildest imagination.
"It's unimaginable how much pressure is inside this jar; it would definitely explode in real life!" one player exclaimed.
"The mathematical design and materials science of Warhammer are definitely superior to reality, after all, the background is 4 years in the future."
Redito, observing all this from the perspective of Uranium HJ354, also felt a tinge of interest in the deaths of the fallen. It seemed this Astragalus army truly loved machinery. After all, ordinary soldiers were exhausted from fighting; who would have the time or inclination to observe the factories of the Cult of Asclepius? This was undoubtedly what set them apart.
However, after their initial amazement, the players quickly noticed a problem.
"Do the servitors on this production line serve any purpose?" a player asked, pointing to the servitors who were constantly tightening screws, chanting scriptures, repeating the same process without doing anything else. "Removing them won't affect production at all... the production line is running entirely on its own."
“Sir, your mistake is serious,” Uranium HJ354 corrected. “In fact, what keeps this production line pure and running smoothly are these seemingly useless actions. The devout faith of the Om Messiah believers keeps the machine soul in a state of joy and free from the corruption of evil.”
The player was dumbfounded. He scratched the back of his head: "Weren't the servants supposed to have their brains cut off? Where did this piety come from?" "What's this? Warhammer-style political correctness?"
"It should actually be somewhat useful, right? After all, it's been going on like this for ten thousand years, there must be some reason behind it..."
"So what's the purpose of this... uh, wet component?" The player pointed to a living brain hanging next to the production line. The brain was submerged in an unknown liquid and connected to countless pipes, looking strange and out of place. "To be honest, I feel that this thing doesn't fit into this production line. Did you guys hang it up separately?"
“My lord, this adjustment is perfectly in line with the will of Ohm Messiah after precise calculations,” Uranium HJ354 explained. “Placing this wet component here will allow us to record and soothe the machine spirit’s state at all times.”
"So you really put it up separately by you?"
"You've been talking too much."
"Don't say anything. What if these old guys are petty and don't give us the equipment?"
"It seems so, then I won't say anything more."
He coughed twice and quickly changed the subject, asking, "What does this production line produce?"
"It produces HK-III type physical activator," Uranium HJHJ54's calm voice rang out. "It can help users eliminate physiological fatigue and suppress pain."
The players immediately understood: "Holy crap, ice!"
The name piqued their interest: "Are there any similar things? Don't use chemical terms."
"Yes, there's also PP-IV type freezing point agent, which eliminates negative emotions, revitalizes the spirit, and maintains absolute calmness; and Alpha-V type liberator, which can disarm the self-protective mechanism and maximize the body's power..."
The players' eyes lit up as they listened, and one player excitedly asked, "Can these stimulants be mixed together and injected at the same time?"
"Theoretically possible, but the withdrawal symptoms after the effects end would be extremely severe..."
"Forget about side effects," Name interrupted, "just tell me, what dosage, and how to mix them to maximize the effect?"
Uranium HJHJ54 remained silent for a moment, seemingly engaged in complex calculations. After a brief pause, its mechanized voice resumed: "Mix 200 ml of HK-III type physical activator, 200 ml of PP-IV type freezing point agent, 200 ml of Alpha-VI type Liberator, and 150 ml of HPV-VII type Sentinel in an active solvent. This will produce a total of 750 ml of the mixture, which will greatly enhance combat capabilities in all aspects over the next 24 to 48 hours, including physical fitness, strength, perception, reaction, and damage tolerance. The specific duration will vary depending on individual constitution, but once the effects wear off... only death will follow."
The players completely ignored the last sentence, "Only death," and excitedly began discussing: "This absolutely has to be included in our armaments! Each of us should at least have one mixed potion!"
"Tell the company commander right now on the forum and have him talk to that mechanical priest!"
"Ideally, the spraying process should be automated, so we don't have to manually push it when needed!"
"I knew this game had more than just mechanical ascension as an option!"
