The premiere of "Red Cliff" was hosted by Yang Man, Liu Jing, Luo Wei, and Hu Xiao, a host from Chengdu TV.

The performance was divided into four parts: "Heroes in Action," "On Heroes," "Appreciating Heroes," and "Ode to Heroes." Interspersed throughout were behind-the-scenes footage of the movie "Red Cliff," as well as Sichuan opera face-changing and fire-breathing performances, guqin (a traditional Chinese stringed instrument) performances, and elementary school students reciting Su Shi's famous work "Remembering the Past at Red Cliff."

After a powerful live performance combined with a magnificent trailer for "Red Cliff," the first to meet the Chengdu moviegoers were You Yong, who plays Liu Bei; Zhang Zhen, who plays Sun Quan; and Hu Jun, who plays Zhao Yun.

The three shared some interesting anecdotes from their time on set.

The heroes who took the stage in the second round were Zhang Fengyi, who played Cao Cao, Tong Dawei, a soldier in Cao Cao's army, and Xiao Songjia, who played Cao Cao's concubine.

Zhang Fengyi's portrayal of Cao Cao is very domineering and concise.

Tong Dawei said that the character he portrayed was very simple-minded and silly.

Xiao Song's biggest feeling was that the director "reused" her, letting her dance in the film without using a stunt double, "and I'm really happy about that."

Cheng Sheng, backstage, sneered inwardly; the Song family's words clearly had a hidden meaning.

Cheng Sheng had already seen "Red Cliff" in another memory. The Song family's scenes were pitifully small. If she still said that they were "re-employed", then what about Lin Zhilin?
'For intensive use in bed?'

Cheng Sheng neither confirmed nor denied it, but Wu Baige and Lin Zhilin were rumored to be having an affair during filming.

Then the three most important people at the premiere took the stage.

The three are Liang Chaowei, who plays Zhou Yu; Lin Zhilin, who plays Xiao Qiao; and Zhao, who plays the heroine Sun Shangxiang.

The moment the three stepped onto the stage, they were met with cheers from the audience. Earlier on the red carpet, Lin Chih-lin and Leung Chiu-wei, who appeared hand in hand, had already created the climax of the red carpet.

Liang Chaowei, dressed rather formally in a black suit, commented on the two beauties, describing Xiao Qiao as 'gentle and considerate' and Sun Shangxiang as 'lively and cheerful'.

Lin Chih-lin and a certain Zhao jokingly praised Tony Leung for being incredibly handsome.

The two beauties not only praised Tony Leung, but also gave the best compliments to director Wu Baige: "The director is the soul of the entire crew. He led us to finally make this movie. The director's belief is the most admirable thing."

Listening to their praise of Wu Baige, Cheng Sheng smiled without saying a word.

The higher you boast now, the harder you'll fall later.

“Xiao Cheng, Wu Baige’s premiere is much grander than your premiere of ‘Three Kingdoms’,” said Master Han.

Although the premiere of "Three Kingdoms" was also quite grand, with half of the entertainment industry in attendance, it still lacked a bit of respect and grandeur compared to "Red Cliff".

"Who told our crew to be poor! If I had that much money, I would definitely make the premiere a grand affair," Cheng Sheng said casually.

Upon hearing this, Master Han's face darkened. The money for "Red Cliff" came from China Film Group, meaning that part of the money for this premiere came from China Film Group.

“Cheng Sheng, there’s a sequel to ‘Three Kingdoms’! We should arrange such a grand premiere as soon as it’s released. We can’t let Wu Baige outdo us. It’s just a little more money. I’ll cover whatever it costs.”

Standing next to Cheng Sheng, Da Tian Tian spoke with unparalleled arrogance.

She's the female lead in both parts of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms," and she can't let anyone outdo her in such a prestigious role.

“Sweetie, let’s not follow Wu Baige’s example. A premiere is enough. We should invest the money in the production of the film. A good film is more important than any big premiere.”

Cheng Sheng shook his head and decisively rejected Da Tiantian's kind offer.

He knew that Da Tian Tian had a lot of money, but that didn't mean she should waste it like this.

"Cheng Sheng, it's alright. I'll cover the investment in the film separately."

Da Tian Tian smiled and said, "Hehe."

Upon hearing this, Han Sanye smiled and turned slightly to Lu Zheng behind him, saying, "President Lu, China Film Group has a film project recently. I wonder if you are interested?"

Lu Zheng rolled his eyes at Han Sanye speechlessly. He knew that Han Sanye was joking with him, but he couldn't refute it. After all, what could he do when Da Tiantian's words were so 'nouveau riche'?

After the tedious premiere ceremony, everyone moved on to the cinema.

Although Wu Baige had a grudge against Cheng Sheng, he still didn't dare to act recklessly. When arranging the seats, he put Cheng Sheng in the first row, which was considered giving Cheng Sheng face.

The lights went out.

The first part of "Red Cliff" has begun.

The plot of "Red Cliff Part I" tells the story of Cao Cao leading an army of 80 and 2000 warships south to attack Liu Bei. Zhuge Liang then asked the Wu Kingdom for troops to join forces against Cao Cao. As a result, he met Zhou Yu, a strategist of Eastern Wu. They admired each other and became friends in a time of crisis. Together they fought against the enemy and defeated Cao Cao's army in the Battle of Sanjiangkou.

The historically famous Battle of Red Cliffs then ensued.

"Red Cliff Part I" is merely a prelude to the actual Battle of Red Cliffs, including the battles of Xinye and Sanjiangkou.

Overall, it is consistent with historical facts, but in both battles, Wu Baige used some tactics that were not part of the Battle of Red Cliffs.

For example, they could use the back of their shields to reflect sunlight and defeat Cao Cao's army.

Judging from this 55-minute mini-version alone, there is nothing too absurd. However, at the end of the segment, when Cao Cao is flirting with his imaginary Xiao Qiao—Li Ji, Hua Tuo sighs from the side: "So it turns out that our lord attacked Chibi for a woman."

The placement of this sentence is truly hilarious, making one gasp in astonishment.

Is this still the Three Kingdoms that the audience knows?

Was the Battle of Red Cliffs really because of a woman?
Even the author of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" would probably frown upon such a plot.

Throughout the movie, Cheng Sheng and Xiao Tiantian were successfully amused many times.

Especially Lin Chih-lin's line in Red Cliff, "Mengmeng, stand up."

Even though Cheng Sheng had seen it once, he couldn't help but break down.

Most importantly, Lin Chih-lin has a very unique voice. Her voice is known for its sweet and gentle tone, which can sound particularly charming or cute in certain situations.

If she were to act coquettishly towards a man, he would absolutely be so sweet he'd faint.

However, in a historical epic like Red Cliff, her unique vocal quality contrasted sharply with the film's serious atmosphere.

When this contrast is combined with the abrupt line "Mengmeng stands up," it creates a unique sense of humor that makes people chuckle.

"It was born in Jingzhou... Let's call it Mengmeng! Mengmeng, stand up, stand up... Haha, no, no..."

Cheng Sheng promised Han Sanye he wouldn't cause trouble, but Da Tiantian didn't. She imitated Lin Zhilin's lines from the movie, and couldn't help but laugh as she spoke.

Han Sanye's face remained black from the beginning to the end of the movie.

Having been in the film industry for so many years and seen countless movies, he had never seen such an outrageous plot and dialogue.

He shouldn't have had any expectations of Wu Baige. (End of Chapter)
