"Cheng Sheng, let go quickly, I still need to get dressed." Xu Fan's voice was barely audible, full of embarrassment.

"Just for a little while." Cheng Sheng looked down at her reddened eyes and gently smoothed her messy hair with his fingertips. After a brief moment of tenderness, he released her from his embrace.

Time was of the essence; he needed to take the two of them to Scarlett's villa and didn't have time to linger.

He then picked up the clothes from the bed and carefully helped Xu Fan put them on one by one.

Just then, the bathroom door opened, and Chen Hong, who had finished washing up and put on light makeup, came out. She glanced at the two of them standing close together and said with a playful and coquettish tone, "You two can't stay still for a moment. I could hear you making noise in the bathroom."

Cheng Sheng shrugged and smiled wryly: "I also wanted to stay a little longer, but there wasn't enough time, so I was planning to take you back."

"Go back? Go back where?" Chen Hong was stunned for a moment, and Xu Fan also looked up with surprise, subconsciously guessing whether they should return to China immediately.

Cheng Sheng suppressed his smile and said seriously, "Scarlett has already seen the photos taken at the airport. I explained your identities to her, so I confronted Scarlett and told her that you are my women. She then offered to meet you."

Upon hearing this, Chen Hong and Xu Fan's faces turned pale, and their expressions changed drastically.

What both women were most worried about was the exposure of their secret relationship. They both had their own families and were almost a decade older than Cheng Sheng. Their private relationship was already risky, and if it were made public, they would not only be condemned by the public, but their families, careers and reputations would also be completely destroyed.

Even though her husband had been cold towards her before, the two of them never thought about divorce. Their connections in the industry, their social reputation, and their family ties were all concerns they couldn't let go of.

Seeing the tense expressions on their faces, Cheng Sheng couldn't help but chuckle: "Did I scare you? I was just kidding. I only gave the official story of us being sworn siblings, and I kept our private relationship a secret from everyone. Scarlett knew nothing about it."

The huge weight that had been hanging over their hearts was lifted off their shoulders, and the two women breathed a sigh of relief, their tense shoulders slowly relaxing.

Chen Hong hesitated and shook her head to decline: "Let's not meet. We don't know each other, and she's your girlfriend. It would be awkward if we met."

“Don’t worry.” Cheng Sheng reassured her patiently. “Scarlett is a very understanding and hospitable person. She won’t pry into your private affairs. She will only treat you as her older sisters. Besides, don’t you want to stay in Hollywood for a long time to study film and television production? I plan to hire you as co-producers of ‘Juno’.”

He deliberately emphasized the word "study," the implication being self-evident: by using his work on the film crew as a legitimate reason to stay in Hollywood for an extended period, he could not only live together openly but also completely dispel any suspicions from outsiders and their spouses.

Xu Fan's eyes lit up, but he hesitated: "Are we capable of working as Hollywood producers? The production systems at home and abroad are very different."

“Absolutely no problem.” Cheng Sheng explained confidently, “Sister Hong has long assisted Chen Kaige in controlling the entire film production process and has ample experience in top domestic theatrical projects; Sister Xu, you have also led the production and distribution of many commercial films. Although the production logic of Hollywood is different, the core is to coordinate the crew, control the budget, and connect with the distribution. You can take this opportunity to fill in the gaps in your overseas industry experience and also build up your local Hollywood connections. It’s a win-win situation.”

After weighing the pros and cons, Chen Hong nodded in agreement: "Okay, let's meet then."

"When do we set off?" Xu Fan asked immediately.

“Let’s leave now. I prepared breakfast for four people this morning and it’s kept warm. Also, I originally planned for you to stay at Scarlett’s villa to make it easier to coordinate with the film crew.”

"Live permanently?" Chen Hong and Xu Fan were both stunned. They had thought it was just a short visit and never imagined that they would be staying at Scarlett's place.

Xu Fan looked troubled: "This is not appropriate. The villa is Scarlett's private residence. It would be too presumptuous for us to stay there for an extended period." Chen Hong also quickly followed up with her refusal: "Let's rent another place. With so many people living together, it's inevitable that our secret will be exposed over time. The risk is too high."

Cheng Sheng then thought it over and realized it was inappropriate. Living together would indeed easily expose the secret relationship between the three, making subsequent control extremely difficult.

He immediately nodded: "It was my oversight. I'll have Scarlett help me find a detached apartment with good security and privacy. She's familiar with local properties, so it's much safer than us searching blindly."

Chen Hong and Xu Fan had no objection to this.

The two simply grabbed their handbags, without needing to pack any large luggage, and left the hotel with Cheng Sheng.

After a forty-minute drive, the vehicle entered the courtyard of Scarlett's private villa in Beverly Hills.

The courtyard was lush with greenery and offered a high degree of privacy. Cheng Sheng led the two into the main living room.

The living room was empty. Cheng Sheng looked around and muttered to himself, "Looks like Scarlett hasn't woken up yet." He then turned to the two women and said, "You two sit down and rest in the living room. I'll go upstairs and wake her up."

After Cheng Sheng went upstairs, Chen Hong's gaze swept over the large fabric sofa in the living room, her eyes filled with a hint of amusement. She whispered to Xu Fan, "This sofa is spacious enough. I suppose they are quite casual in the living room on weekdays."

The words left unsaid, but Xu Fan instantly understood their deeper meaning. His cheeks flushed slightly, and he lowered his head to avoid eye contact.

A moment later, the sound of soft footsteps came from the stairs, and Cheng Sheng accompanied Scarlett downstairs.

Cheng Sheng had previously taught Scarlett how to address people in Chinese, but her pronunciation was stiff and awkward. She pronounced "Hong Jie" as "Hongji" and "Xu Jie" as "Xu Ji," with a strange and clumsy intonation.

Scarlett strode forward enthusiastically, took their wrists, and greeted them in broken Chinese: "Hongji, Sequel, welcome."

Cheng Sheng stood behind her, barely suppressing his laughter. He had only been thinking about teaching her Chinese titles and had neglected the pronunciation problem, making the situation a little awkward.

Chen Hong and Xu Fan were stunned for a moment, then calmly came back to their senses.

Chen Hong smiled and replied, "Hello Scarlett, I've always been a fan of yours, it's an honor to meet you."

Scarlett has extremely high social skills and has obviously done her homework in advance. She smoothly praised the two of them: "Sister Hong, I have seen the art films you starred in. You are even more elegant and beautiful in person than on screen. Sister Xu, I have seen 'The Dream Factory' and 'Cell Phone'. Your acting is delicate and natural. In my eyes, it is completely Oscar-level performance."

Sincere and appropriate compliments instantly dispelled the two women's awkwardness, and the three chatted smoothly about Chinese and foreign film and television performances and interesting anecdotes from the set, quickly becoming familiar and harmonious in atmosphere.

Cheng Sheng interrupted at the right moment: "The three ladies should stop chatting for now, otherwise the breakfast will get completely cold."

“I got too engrossed in our conversation.” Scarlett smiled and gestured for the two to sit down. “Let’s have our meal first, and then I’ll show you around the area around the resort.”

Chen Hong and Xu Fan politely thanked her, and Scarlett waved her hand cheerfully: "You're welcome. You're Cheng's sisters, and also my sisters." (End of Chapter)
