The Fourth Calamity never believed in the steel torrent!

Chapter 212 General Vorontsov Achieves Another Astounding Victory

Chapter 212 General Vorontsov Achieves Another Astounding Victory
The cannonball was fired, and after leaving the barrel, it flew at extremely high speed toward the officer, and then... it missed.

Unfortunately, tanks of this era lacked stabilizers, so firing while moving at high speed naturally resulted in a very large dispersion of shells, a phenomenon even reflected in games.

Seeing the shell explode some distance behind him, the officer felt his back was soaked with cold sweat, even though he wasn't hit.

Watching a steel monster fire a cannon at you is a truly terrifying scene, comparable to being executed without being blindfolded!
The officer hesitated for a moment, then felt compelled to retreat, because he had a feeling that he was being targeted by the armored vehicles on the other side.

However, retreating at this time would undoubtedly make him a deserter. The seriousness of an officer leading the retreat is far greater than that of a soldier retreating on his own. It would be a miracle if his superiors didn't execute him.

Just as he was hesitating, several other players fired several more shots in his direction.

The player has no other advantage except for having more tanks and unlimited ammunition.

Since we're just idling around anyway, why not fire the cannons as we go? If we miss, so be it. But if we're lucky and hit, wouldn't that be a bonus?

With multiple shelling attacks, some players are always lucky and will be hit by chance.

The unfortunate officer was blasted to his feet by a grenade and was instantly blown away. As he struggled to straighten his upper body and try to stand up, he immediately felt a sharp pain in his lower body.

Looking down, he discovered that his lower body had been blown away at some point!
Although the artillery has a long range, it is still not efficient enough to clear out enemy infantry. Some players simply stick their heads out and directly operate the machine gun on the tank turret, using the hatch as cover to start firing at a distance.

Under continuous machine gun fire, the momentum of the Altrianian soldiers who were still charging forward was instantly halted.

When they saw these steel behemoths rumbling towards them in the distance, many of the previously fanatical Altera soldiers suddenly sobered up for a moment.

Although the effects of the drug had not completely worn off, they naturally felt an almost instinctive fear in the face of such a steel behemoth.

If they didn't feel fear watching a bunch of steel tanks speeding towards them while spewing out metal storms, then the effects of the drugs they were using must have been incredibly potent.

But when fear sets in and the firepower is in place, the Altranian charge immediately seems less terrifying.

The soldiers, who were still busy fighting the players in close combat in the trenches, suddenly felt that their offensive power seemed to have weakened a lot. When they looked back, they found that the troops behind them had not followed them!
"These cowards, these cowards! They actually deserted their posts!"

An officer turned around and saw that there was no one behind him. His expression immediately turned to one of shock and anger.

Damn it, the enemy has deployed countless troops in the trenches, a huge group of soldiers dressed in black and wearing gas masks, seemingly ready to charge at their faces with bayonets.

At this point, if they want to completely suppress the enemy and occupy this position, what else can they rely on besides their own bravery?
Now that their courage has been overwhelmed, it's quite embarrassing for those who have just jumped into the trenches!

The players didn't care about the awkwardness; the flamethrower soldiers unleashed a deluge of flames, relentlessly spraying them at the enemies in the trenches.

At this moment, these flamethrower soldiers had gone completely berserk. They didn't even care if there were any comrades in front of them. They just kept their triggers pressed and their flamethrowers spraying non-stop as they charged forward through the flames.

Anyway, these flamethrower soldiers have their own fire resistance, so they won't be burned to death by their own flames. Just charge straight ahead!
Under such a frenzied offensive, even the Altrians were finding it difficult to hold on.

Although flamethrower soldiers charging in this manner usually don't survive more than a minute, in that minute they can take away countless enemies.

The players guarding the area near the command post finally couldn't hold out against the massive enemy forces.

Although the machine gun positions they set up here were powerful, they were not mobile, so some Altrians aimed their mortars at the positions and began to bombard them.

After the mortars took out the machine gun positions in front, a large group of soldiers who had been hiding around the corner rushed up at an extremely fast speed, shouting all sorts of words that Andrei couldn't understand, and ran towards the iron gate of the command post.

Andrei didn't know how long the iron gate of his command post could hold out, but he clearly didn't intend to defend it indefinitely.

So, through the gate, Andrei simply raised his hand and suddenly released a large amount of Tzeentch Pink Flame.

Counterintuitively, when Andre casts this spell, the effect is not like a humanoid fire-spraying device, releasing flames directly from his hands.

When he uses this spell, a virtual fan shape will suddenly appear in his field of vision, which looks similar to the way spells are cast in Total War: Warhammer.

With a thought, a large number of pink flames would appear out of thin air in this fan-shaped area.

So, just when the Altrianian soldiers thought they finally had a chance to attack the enemy command post, pink flames that appeared from behind them robbed them of all hope.

The flames appeared so suddenly that none of the Altrianian soldiers anticipated what was happening.

When they saw the flames engulf their ranks and felt the intense burning sensation, it was too late.

Andrei frowned as he watched more than a dozen soldiers scream in agony amidst the pink sea of fire.

To be honest, he felt that the flame he released was a bit small in scale. Although it did consume less magic power, it was not the kind of fire skill he had been hoping for.

Could it be because I haven't adjusted my magic consumption properly?
Because he had previously used the Spellsteal spell to absorb the magic power from several battle mages, Andrei's body still had a relatively abundant amount of magic power.

Although this magic doesn't seem to be able to regenerate through meditation or other means, it doesn't matter. There are so many enemy battle mages; we can just catch a few and absorb more magic. There's no need to be stingy with magic!

With this in mind, Andrei set his sights on another location where the enemy was relatively concentrated.

Seeing the last player and two soldiers on the defensive fall to the enemy's guns, Andrei no longer hesitated and immediately poured the maximum amount of magic he could release into the spell.

Unfortunately, he didn't seem to be able to unleash all his magic at once, perhaps because the spell had a limited capacity to hold magic.

I wonder if he could increase the spell's level or unlock some new and strange bonuses in the future, which would further enhance its power?
But at this moment, looking at the huge fan-shaped flames that stretched for dozens of meters and turned almost the entire trench into a sea of fire, Andrei couldn't help but open his mouth wide.

"Holy crap, this power seems to be beyond my imagination!"

Seeing this scene, Andrei felt as if he wasn't breathing fire, but rather throwing a heavy napalm bomb.

The scene before us is so horrific that even if a howitzer were equipped with specially made white phosphorus incendiary shells and fired two shots at this direction, it probably wouldn't produce such a ferocious effect.

At least at this moment, Andrei saw utter horror in the eyes of the enemies in the distance.

With a scream, a large number of Alteran soldiers turned and ran away, completely ignoring the sea of fire in front of them.

Damn it, they did join the army to serve their country, but they never imagined they would serve their country to this extent!

What kind of outrageous attack method is this? It's even more terrifying than the abyssal flames of those abyssal mage advisors they've seen!
Even a single shower of sulfurous fire wouldn't cover such a devastating area; this thing's kill radius is almost as wide as a naval cannon!

Just as Andrei was stunned by his own magic, he heard the exclamations behind him and turned around to find that all the officers in the command post were staring at him with eyes that looked like they had seen a ghost.

"Uh, what's with that expression?"

Upon hearing Andrei's voice, the officers finally snapped out of their daze, and a series of deep breaths rang out one after another—some were so surprised that they even forgot to breathe and subconsciously held their breath!

"Sir, is this...is this magic?"

"I never imagined that you had studied magic with a mage?"

An officer looked at Andrei with awe. He didn't know just how noble Andrei's noble status was, but he knew that a mage was definitely a remarkable person.

In the Cambrian Empire, every mage who was willing to serve the Tsar was able to enjoy high-ranking positions and generous salaries.

Even if you've just started, a mage advisor is equivalent to a rank six or higher administrative officer!
This can be considered a cultural difference. If this were in the neighboring Black Hawk Empire, the Black Hawk people would generally think that mages are not valuable, at most equivalent to college students.

In comparison, noble lords are far more valuable than mages; mages in the Black Hawk Empire are simply consumables.

In response to the officer's question, Andrei shook his head and said:
"No, I have never studied with a mage. The abilities I used before were bestowed upon me by the goddess of magic. Perhaps it was because I was chosen by the goddess of magic somewhere?"

Andrei had heard before that the Cambrian Empire's goddess of magic was rumored to have the ability to bestow spells upon others.

After being blessed by the goddess of magic, even if he is a Muggle who knows nothing, he is very likely to learn to use powerful spells instantly. However, whether he can use these spells skillfully after mastering them is another matter.

Some people who receive this blessing might accidentally cause terrible accidents, such as burning down their own houses.

Fortunately, the blessings of the goddess of magic are extremely rare, so such things are very uncommon and won't necessarily ruin the livelihood of mages.

Otherwise, if this goddess were to go around bestowing blessings everywhere all day long, that would be quite a spectacle.

Upon hearing Andrei's explanation, the officers present breathed a sigh of relief, their faces showing what appeared to be a regretful expression.

Although those blessed by goddesses may be able to learn things without a teacher, the abilities they can master are often quite limited.

At least compared to those mages with ancient traditions and extensive training, most of these blessed individuals are just a flash in the pan.

After deceiving the source of his blessing, Andrei refocused his attention on the battlefield before him.

However, he felt that what he said was not exactly a lie, since the chosen skills he had just selected were actually very similar to the Goddess's Blessing in many ways.

Considering the abilities corresponding to the four goddesses of spring, summer, autumn and winter in the Cambrian Empire, Andrei seriously suspected that the true identity of the goddess of summer might be a blue, fun-loving bird-man.

So when I think about it this way, is there anything wrong with saying that I was blessed by the goddess of summer?

Our blessing is clearly of the highest caliber, practically a direct descendant!
Thinking about his current Chaotic Octagonal Star Domain, Andrei's expression was somewhat wry and amused.

In practical terms, Hellstorm is actually quite good. Psionic spells are very useful on the battlefield, both in terms of their destructive power and other characteristics, and they haven't shown any particularly strange changes.

After studying it for a long time, Andrei found no signs of flesh mutation similar to that caused by chaotic pollution on his own body.

He didn't grow an extra eye or two on his face, nor did he suddenly grow feathers on his body, or have any hand suddenly turn into a claw.

Because there was no chaotic mutation and no big blue bird talking around in his head, Andrei was now quite at ease with these messy divine selection functions.

Aren't they just the four warlords of the subspace?

Compared to the system, the four minor vendors of the subspace are nothing!
Andrei consoled himself with this thought, while also hoping that one day he could find an Untouchable like in the Warhammer world.

Although he felt that his system was much more powerful than the Subspace Evil God, who could at most summon demons, he had never seen it create so many messy Fourth Calamity players.

But if given the chance, he would still like to test it out, hoping that his system wouldn't be blocked by the Untouchables.

If the untouchables can really block the system, that would be a real problem.

Andrei's powerful spell not only stunned the enemy but also gave the player a big fright.

After seeing this, many players discussed in the chat group when they would be able to obtain the spell.
They felt they couldn't wait to start their spellcasting classes. Although their guns and various war machines were also very useful, no one could be as cool as a mage when it came to wielding guns!
Looking at the players' discussions, Andrei studied the various influence values he had accumulated and couldn't help but ponder in his heart.

After this war, and with many players spending money to buy skins, and the influence value converted into the system from that money, he felt that he was almost ready to unlock some spell units.

We'll set it up sometime and see if we can give players a job change option or something.

As for where these units came from?

Don't ask, the answer is that I have become the chosen one of the Goddess of Summer, the living saint of the goddess, and can represent the goddess to bestow blessings!

what?
You ask why the troops bestowed by the living saint after he bestowed his blessings are all sorts of weird and treacherous factions?

How would I know? You'll have to ask the Goddess of Summer yourself!
Just as Andrei was pondering how to unlock the spell system for players, the tank unit charging at the forefront had already arrived.

Amidst the screams of the soldiers, a large number of tanks rumbled onto the trenches and then mercilessly crushed everything in their path.

Neither the barbed wire and barricades initially placed in front of the trenches, nor the trip mines set up by the players, could cause any damage to these T34 tanks.

Wait, that’s not right!
Seeing the player charge straight in from above the position, Andrei's forehead instantly broke out in a cold sweat, because he realized something!
It seems that some careless players previously set up anti-tank mines on the battlefield!
With a deafening roar, Andrei watched helplessly as an unfortunate T-34 tank accidentally ran over its own anti-tank mine, and one of its tracks snapped off with a loud crash.

King Gigi: [Holy crap, you idiot! What kind of fool would be so bored as to plant anti-tank mines on the battlefield?!]

Johnny Handsilver: [Damn! We didn't expect you to drive straight up like that. This is for defending against the enemy pushing towards our position!]

King Gigi: [Brother, I'm begging you, next time please check before laying mines! Which eye of yours saw any armored enemy units?]

Andrei could hardly bear to watch the players arguing in the chat.

He could only say that the teamwork among these players really needed improvement; as the number of players increased, their organizational skills actually declined.

But there's nothing he can do about this situation. No matter how he tries, he can't possibly train these players into a real army. After all, players are there for fun, and many of their actions are impulsive.

Fortunately, not all players have nothing better to do than throw a bunch of anti-tank mines onto the battlefield.

Most players don't seem to lay anti-tank mines when setting up defenses, perhaps because they feel it's more comfortable to drop mines in front of the enemy than to drop them in advance.

After all, he's a Slavic superhero...

In the game, there are countless players who, when using landmines against enemy armored units, simply throw them directly at the feet of the enemy armored units.

The probability of being crushed by a landmine buried underground is too low; it's much more accurate to throw a landmine directly.

Despite a minor hiccup, the T-34 tank with its tracks blown off was quickly restored thanks to the efforts of the repair crew.

It was only thanks to the T-34 tank's relatively sturdy build that Andrei was able to get it into the air; otherwise, with the Italian tank, Andrei suspected that it might have been sent flying!

When the T-34 tanks rumbled onto the enemy lines and unleashed a fierce barrage of fire on the charging enemy, the Altranyan offensive was completely thwarted. Faced with the combined firepower of these tanks and nearly a hundred machine guns, the Altranyans couldn't even get close, let alone feel the oppressive force they were under.

On the contrary, it is now the player's armored forces that are launching a counter-offensive against the enemy!
Watching helplessly as these steel behemoths brutally crushed the Cambrian positions, seemingly disregarding the safety of their own people, and charged straight at them, the Altrianians were completely routed.

At that moment, neither soldiers nor officers thought about continuing to fight.

Large numbers of soldiers in white uniforms, covered in dust and dirt, ran into the depths of the dense forest. People kept falling to the ground under machine gun fire, but the rest were only concerned with escaping.

Upon seeing this, Andrei kicked open the command post door and, waving his pistol, shouted at the others:

"Warriors of the Cambrian Empire, charge with me! Let's crush those damned invaders in one fell swoop!"

"It's time for revenge! Let's avenge ourselves!"

After shouting, Andrei followed the Krieg soldiers who had launched the first charge and charged forward, firing his No. 3 pistol at the fleeing enemy in the distance as he charged.

This large-caliber revolver is much better than his officer's sidearm. Although it's not as fast to draw as his officer's sidearm, this thing is much more powerful, which is the most important thing!
Even with his officer's sidearm firing many shots from a distance, he might not be able to kill the enemy on the spot. But with this big revolver, he could take down an enemy with a single shot.

It must be said that the sight of so many people charging forward together is incredibly infectious.

Not to mention ordinary soldiers, even Andrei and other players who were among them were greatly inspired by seeing so many people charging together.

At this moment, the players wearing the Krieg skin were extremely immersed in the game. Each of them held their bayonets high and charged forward desperately, completely disregarding any possible counterattack from the enemy.

Seeing the fierce charge of Andrei's Krieg regiment, the other Cambrian soldiers regained their courage.

Despite his reluctance to charge, Commander Platon had no choice but to lead his troops in the attack.

Just as the division commander said, even the general has already led the charge, what are you, a mere regimental commander, doing staying behind?
Does this mean that you, as the regimental commander, are going to take over the command of the battle from the general?
"Gentlemen, His Excellency the General has already led the charge, so what are we still hesitating about?"

"Warriors of the Empire, charge with me for victory!"

Hearing their commander's shout and remembering Andrei who had led his men in a direct charge earlier, the Cambrian soldiers no longer hesitated and shouted as they followed the others in front of them in a charge.

They had the belief in protecting their homeland, so they weren't so afraid of dying on the battlefield.

Especially as the regimental commander said, even the general has already charged forward, so why should they value their lives more than the general?
They disliked high-ranking officials who only knew how to order them to charge into battle, but they greatly admired those who were willing to lead them into battle. Sharing hardships was a precious quality.

Hearing the sudden, thunderous charge from behind, the Altrians felt even more devastated.

What the hell! What strange things did these Cambrian soldiers eat? How come they charge even more fiercely than us?
They couldn't understand what deep-seated hatred Cambrian Empire had for them. They had always been the ones being beaten, so why did the Cambrian soldiers look at them as if they wanted to skin them alive?
There's no time to think too much, or rather, thinking about it at a time like this is pointless.

Everyone was running away, and even if one or two tried to stop and fight back, it would be in vain.

Even in such situations, those who go against the flow might be trampled to death by their comrades. Even if they aren't trampled to death on the spot, they will become conspicuous in the crowd and be the first to be shot by the enemy.

Many Altera soldiers at that moment were thinking, "Better to sacrifice my friends than myself."

They didn't care whether they ran faster or slower than the Cambrian soldiers; they only cared whether they ran faster than their comrades.

As long as they can run faster than their companions, someone will stay behind to shield them from bullets, and they will be safe for the time being.

But as they continued the chase, the Altrianian soldiers began to break down.

No, they didn't even disturb the ancestral graves of these Cambrian people, so why are these guys so agitated?
They've already rushed into the woods, so why are these guys still chasing them?
Based on their past experience, if they ran into the forest, the Cambrian Empire shouldn't continue to pursue them, right?

After all, previous battle experiences had proven everything; these Cambrian Empire soldiers simply lacked the ability to fight in the jungle, and they would only become disoriented once they entered the forest.

Even if an entire infantry battalion stormed in, these guys would often only have one way out in the end: death, due to the constant hunting by the skin-changing people. Even if they managed to escape from the forest alive, they would most likely end up going crazy from fright.

Unfortunately, these players are not normal people at all.

The players were completely unconcerned about the dense forest blocking their path of attack!

Try to climb as high as you can. If you really can't climb any higher, then think of another way. Things like getting scratched by tree branches can be ignored.

Players don't feel pain, and the branches won't hurt them. They can just keep rushing forward and ignore the obstacles in front of them.

With the player's insane charging speed, the Altrianian soldiers in front had no chance to find a place to hide. If they slowed down even slightly, they would be instantly stabbed by the player's bayonet.

What made them even more desperate was that the dense forest in front of them had become an obstacle that restricted them!

They can't just rush through any branches or bushes blocking their way like players do.

If they force players to charge forward like this, they're guaranteed to get their faces and bodies scratched and bleeding from the protruding branches, not to mention the possibility of tripping over them.

Players won't trip while running; they'll only get stuck and stop by obstacles. However, ordinary Altera soldiers are more likely to trip.

Once they fall to the ground, they will be completely doomed, as they will have no chance of escaping the Cambrian Empire's pursuers.

In such times, some skin-changing individuals attempt to transform into wild animals, using the terrain of the forest to fight back.

A skinned human who had just transformed into a leopard was climbing a tree when a player following closely behind raised his gun and fired wildly, causing him to fall from the tree with a thud.

As it turns out, wild animals and the like are completely useless against a large number of soldiers armed with rifles.

No matter what wild animal they transform into—from tiger to monkey, from lion to cheetah, or even an elephant—the players will shoot them dead on the spot with rifles.

If they have the chance to escape the player's sight and run to a relatively far place, they might have a glimmer of hope to transform into animals and escape.

After all, players rely more on the minimap to determine whether the things in front of them are enemies or animals.

For players who have gone completely berserk, any wild animal that appears in front of them will be their enemy.

However, when comparing the appearance of wild animals in the forest and the appearance of fully armed soldiers in the forest, there is no doubt that the fully armed soldiers are more conspicuous and easier to spot.

Tanks rumbled into the woods, recklessly crushing the trees in their path.

Just as players won't trip over the trees in front of them, the tanks they drive won't trip over the trees either, and their tracks won't get stuck.

If they encounter a large enough towering tree, these tanks will be stuck in place, but if they encounter a small tree that they can push over directly, the tanks will not be hindered much.

Watching those heavy steel behemoths rumble into the forest, with trees falling one after another under their impact, the Altrianians were truly on the verge of a mental breakdown.

They simply couldn't understand why these Cambrian soldiers were acting like madmen, rushing up to chase them.
Andrei didn't know how long the chase lasted, until they could no longer find any Altera soldiers in sight, and the battle finally ended.

Looking at the corpses scattered all over the forest, Andrei was somewhat surprised. He had to admit that the players' destructive power and lethality were truly formidable.

During the chase, when he was caught up in the heat of the moment, he hadn't realized anything was wrong.

But looking at the scene before him now, he could only say that it was far too bloody.

The Altranian artillery division on the other side was also completely wiped out.

While these artillerymen were busy fighting Andrei's air force and heavy artillery, some players drove T34 tanks and sped along the road, reaching the enemy artillery division's position without warning.

The cannons, busy exchanging fire with the enemy, had no time to adjust their muzzles to aim at the armored vehicles charging towards them.

Faced with the menacing tanks, the artillerymen on the artillery positions had no choice but to flee.

Even if they tried to escape, how could they possibly escape the steel chariots before them?

The battle was completely over. By the time reinforcements arrived at the battlefield, Andrei's troops had almost finished clearing it.

When the reinforcements saw the various corpses scattered on the battlefield and in the dense forest, as well as the trembling prisoners and a large amount of destroyed or captured weapons and equipment, they were completely stunned.

"Cold-blooded lady above! Major General Vorontsov, were all these victories truly achieved by you alone?"

Looking at Major General Pavlov, commander of the 71st Division, Andrei frowned slightly, pointed to Regimental Commander Platon, who was still excitedly describing what had happened to his comrades, and said to him:
"General Pavlov, if you don't believe the outcome of this battle, you can always ask your officers."

"Commander Platon and I witnessed the entire battle, and his soldiers also saw the whole thing. Their words are the best testimony."

Hearing Andrei's somewhat displeased tone, Major General Pavlov realized that what he had said earlier was indeed problematic.

The question he just asked was as if he were questioning whether the major general in front of him had fabricated the battle record. Could he possibly have claimed the merits of other units?
Realizing this, Major General Pavlov broke out in a light sweat, as if he had inadvertently made a very serious accusation.

"I'm sorry, you know that's not what I meant. I was just too shocked by your results!"

"With only about a regiment of troops under your command, along with one regiment under my command, and with the support of an air force squadron, you have withstood the attack of two enemy divisions and held the position for so long!"

"Even after your armored regiment arrives on the battlefield, you can still turn the tide and achieve a counter-kill, which is simply an incredible miracle."

Andrei simply shrugged at Major General Pavlov's words.

"There's nothing unbelievable about it. As long as we remain loyal to the Empire and have enough faith, the God of War will naturally grant us victory!"

"Ultimately, all of this is the result of the soldiers' loyalty and valiant fighting. You should believe in the miracles created by the empire's loyal subjects!"

Upon hearing Andrei's words, Major General Pavlov quickly fell silent.

He could never question whether loyalty could achieve such results at this time, because that involved the Cambrian Empire's political correctness.

What? You're saying loyalty to the Tsar can't bring miracles?

How dare you say such a thing! You must be a rebel! Come with our special forces!
The thought of such a scene sent chills down Major General Pavlov's spine.

It's still fresh in our minds that the Great Purge took place back then.

He had no desire to test the Tsar's iron fist to see if it was still strong enough, nor did he want to test the Tsar's current resolve.

Throughout the entire battle, Andrei's unit captured countless light weapons, needless to say.

Besides these light weapons, their biggest gain in this battle was the capture of six large-caliber anti-aircraft guns and more than 30 usable howitzers of various calibers.

Although the caliber of these howitzers did not match that of the Cambrian Empire's artillery, they were still real cannons nonetheless.

Even if these cannons are taken to the rear and not used, they are still equivalent to weakening the enemy's artillery power, which is an achievement in itself.

Andrei wasn't sure what kind of reward he would receive after this battle, but he didn't expect to be promoted again.

Even if his promotions are meteoric, they shouldn't be this exaggerated. If he continues to be promoted at this rate, he might become a marshal before the end of the year.

There are rules for promotion in the military. It's impossible to be promoted from major general to lieutenant general just because you've made a few military achievements or won a single victory.

Although this victory was outrageous, considering Andrei's rapid promotion, he estimated that he should receive some other rewards next, rather than be promoted again.

After the battle, Andrei's troops returned to Petrozavodsk and temporarily regrouped there.

In theory, Andrei's troops should have rested in the city when they first arrived before joining the battle on the front lines.

According to the original plan, Andrei's unit should have been used as an elite mobile force to launch a fierce counterattack against the enemy.

But in any case, this battle was ultimately a resounding victory.

So when Andrei and his troops arrived and hadn't even gathered all their men, they rushed into the battlefield. This incident was no longer seen as a model of his youthful impetuosity, but rather as a beautiful story.

This must be because Major General Vorontsov had foresight at the beginning of the war and anticipated the possibility of a large-scale enemy attack, which is why he was able to achieve such amazing results!

Listening to the lavish praise from the officers around him, Andrei smiled ingratiatingly, but couldn't help feeling a little weary.

To be honest, he really couldn't handle these kinds of victory banquets. Chatting with these noble officers at the banquet was much more tiring than beheading the enemy.

Fortunately, due to the wartime situation, the victory celebration was not particularly lavish and was simply held at a hotel in the city.

After hastily concluding the banquet, Andrei sought out General Sertov, the commander-in-chief of the Kaneria Front, located in Petrozavodsk.

Immediately afterwards, he wrote down a report on the key defensive tactics he had come up with and handed it to the general in front of him.

Sertov, a veteran, now looks quite old, and he had to put on his reading glasses to read Andrei's report clearly.

After reading Andrei's report, he nodded and then raised a question:
"Indeed, your plan is feasible. Since the Petrograd side is in charge of the armored trains, I won't consider that. But how do you guarantee that the scattered small positions will have sufficiently strong crossfire?"

"According to your plan, these outer positions must be able to cover each other in order to be effective. If these outer positions cannot form crossfire, they are just pieces of meat to be handed to the enemy."

Looking at the general before him, Andrei revealed a confident smile.
