Chapter 246 Five Emperors' True Qi

Chapter 246 The Five Emperors' True Qi (3 words)

In the Five Organs Temple's Refining Qi Method, gathering the five elements' vital energy and refining it into the body is considered the highest level.

Among the Five Elements Qi, the Five Emperors Qi is the most superior for refining.

The so-called Five Emperors' Qi is specifically named the Azure Emperor's True Qi, the Black Emperor's True Qi, the Red Emperor's True Qi, the Yellow Emperor's True Qi, and the White Emperor's True Qi.

It is said that these five types of true energy each have their own more specific names.

For example, the Azure Emperor True Qi is called "Eternal Azure Qi". However, the names of the other four True Qi have been lost or are difficult to verify, with multiple versions existing at the same time, making it difficult to determine which is true and which is false.

The reason these five types of qi are called "True Qi" and are named after the Five Emperors is that, according to legend, these five types of qi were refined by five emperors in ancient times, and the five emperors used these five types of qi to form the so-called "First-Grade Celestial Golden Elixir".

In other words, any one of these vital energies is the sustenance for the Heavenly Immortal Golden Elixir. Its origin is extremely powerful, and an ordinary person who obtains even one of them can possess the potential to become an immortal!

Fang Shu was stunned when he heard this.

He had no idea that the Qi Refining Method in the Five Organs Temple had such a background, and for a moment he even doubted whether the predecessors in the temple had exaggerated too much.

Fortunately, after making many inquiries within the temple, he discovered that it wasn't the temple's stomach that was boasting.

The so-called Five Emperors' Qi is indeed each equivalent to the Five Elements True Qi, and in ancient times, it belonged to the Thirty-Six Heavenly Generals.

The Heavenly Gang Item was indeed an essential resource for ancient cultivators who wanted to form a high-grade Golden Core!
However, the cultivation realm of immortality has been passed down to this day and is very different from that of ancient times.

Ancient cultivators condensed their evil energy, refined their vital energy, and then formed their elixir.

Nowadays, immortals condense evil spirits, refine qi, and then establish a foundation. After establishing a foundation, the formation of the elixir no longer distinguishes between the so-called upper, middle, and lower grades, but simply uses pseudo-elixir and true elixir as the classification.

All those who truly master the elixir possess the potential to refine their spirit and become immortals.

According to Fang Shu's inquiry, there are two reasons for this situation. One is that the current immortals have innovated and surpassed those of ancient times. Another is that the current immortal studies take the Qi cultivators of a more distant period as a reference and have not fully learned from the Taoists, but have instead regressed to their ancestral ways. There are various explanations, each with its own interpretation.

In general, the differences between ancient and modern times are significant. While the two medicines, evil energy and protective energy, are important, they are still related to the foundation of the immortals.

However, since the emergence of the He Sha He Gang method, the two medicines, Tian Gang and Di Sha, which were hard to find in ancient times, are now extremely common.

Fang Shu had even heard that the orthodox sects of the Xuanmen in the outside world, whose disciples, regardless of whether they were from the outer or inner sects, all cultivated their own unique auras, which in ancient times could be considered as the Heavenly and Earthly Auras, the so-called True Auras and True Auras.

Only menial laborers and untrained cultivators would venture into the realms of True Qi and True Qi.

In such circumstances, let alone combining the Five Emperors' True Qi, it is not uncommon to see the methods of refining Qi using the Ten Great True Qi or the Eighteen Great True Qi. There are even rumors that there are people in the world who can fuse thirty-six kinds of Heavenly Qi and include them all. Once refined, one Qi will emerge, and all the Qi in the world will bow down.

Therefore, the Five Emperors' True Qi within the Temple of the Five Internal Organs merely takes the principle of the Five Elements' rotation and incorporates the Five Emperors. It should be aiming to achieve the elixir of immortality. In the world, it can only be considered to have some ambition, and it cannot be considered to be particularly arrogant.

As Fang Shu pondered these things, his mind was filled with a flurry of thoughts.

He did not look down on the Five Emperors' True Qi of the Five Organs Temple because of the deeds of the orthodox disciples of the Xuanmen he had heard about. On the contrary, he wanted it but was not entirely sure of its effectiveness.

After all, although compared with the orthodox Xuanmen techniques, the Five Emperors True Qi is only worth a glance, within the Five Internal Organs Temple, anyone who can condense such Qi will be called a "Foundation Building Seed".

Over the years, Qi Refining disciples who have laid such a foundation have either come from a prosperous Foundation Establishment Immortal Clan within the temple and received strong support from their families, or they have extraordinary talent and their spiritual roots are at least of superior quality.

Fang Shu now has a solid foundation, but he is only confident that he can refine the Five Elements True Qi. As for the Five Emperors True Qi, it depends on his fate.

Suddenly, he was sitting cross-legged in the Water and Fire Spirit Chamber, gazing at the Yin-Yang Water and Fire Pool in front of him.

He muttered to himself, "How can we only rely on fate... My luck is not bad now. I have just caught the opportunity of the temple opening its doors wide and opening such a sacred room. I should give it my all."

Even if the refinement of inner energy fails, one must still attempt to break through to the Five Emperors' True Energy!

He considered himself to be lacking in natural talent, possessing only a pseudo-spiritual root, but with solid true qi, reaching the sixty-five toad level before entering the sixth tribulation. His physical body was also solid, having cultivated the Dragon Whale Nourishing Body Method, and he also had Dao talismans within his body to assist him in constantly monitoring his physical body and soul.

Currently, we are in the Water and Fire Spirit Chamber, where the spiritual energy is far more concentrated than what Qi Refining Immortals need.

All these factors combined mean that, aside from the lack of a good teacher to guide him personally, he should be on par with the immortals and direct descendants of earth immortals in the temple!

Even if he fails to refine his inner energy, with his foundation, he still has the possibility of trying again.

His biggest loss might be that he had to rest and recuperate, which took up a lot of time, so he was unable to condense his inner energy in time and missed the Lushan Secret Realm a year later.

But considering this point, Fang Shu's eyes flickered for a moment:
"Since Master Long needs me to enter the secret realm to gather herbs, if I fail to refine my inner energy on my first attempt, she will likely help me to refine it again."

If they don't help me and I can't enter the secret realm... well, it might be a blessing in disguise, or perhaps not such a bad thing at all.

With this in mind, his thoughts settled completely, and a surge of ambition welled up within him.

However, Fang Shu took a deep breath and forcibly suppressed his ambition. Although he had already decided to make a desperate attempt to obtain the Five Emperors' True Qi, he did not yet possess the "Five Organs Refining Qi Method" from the temple.

Such secret techniques, passed down through generations, are difficult even for the Dragon Maiden Immortal Family to pass down in advance.

So Fang Shu composed himself, left the seclusion midway, departed from the Water and Fire Spirit Chamber, and headed straight for the location of the Earth Dragon's head.

Before long, he emerged from a wound on the earth dragon's neck, boldly climbed onto its head, and bowed respectfully to the white crane atop the dragon's head.
"Fang Shu, an inner disciple, has now broken through the sixth tribulation and requests the immortal master to bestow upon him the Dharma."

The white crane, which had been standing still, seemed to sense something and opened its eyes. It squinted at Fang Shu but did not speak for a moment.

This reaction made Fang Shu's heart skip a beat.

Wasn't it said that once you break through the sixth tribulation during your seclusion in the Water and Fire Spirit Chamber, you can directly ask the immortals guarding the chamber for the cultivation technique?

Could it be that he has to leave this place and go to the temple to seek the Dharma? If so, I wonder if he will ever be able to return.

Fortunately, after ten breaths, the White Crane Immortal closed his eyes again.

With a slight twitch of its beak, the bird plucked a white feather from its neck and tossed it to Fang Shu.

The white feather shone with spiritual light, and Fang Shu quickly held it up with both hands.

He probed it with his divine sense and immediately discovered that there was a restriction in the white feather, which could only be lifted after he made a vow with his Dao heart.

He did not accept the white feather and swear an oath in private. Instead, he made a vow and oath in front of the White Crane Immortal and quickly began to read the cultivation technique inside the white feather.

"It really is the 'Five Organs Refining Qi Method' from the temple." He felt a slight sense of relief.

At this moment, the white crane immortal's light laughter rang out from the dragon's head:

"How is it? Is there anything unusual about the cultivation technique?"

Fang Shu's expression faltered slightly, but he didn't say much. He simply bowed in bewilderment and said, "Immortal Master, there is nothing unusual. Thank you for passing on the teachings."

After chuckling, the white crane immortal inquired about his lineage. Upon hearing that his master was the Dragon Maiden immortal, the white crane seemed to understand and replied:

"So she's that Dragon Maiden's disciple. No wonder she's here even though she hasn't passed the sixth tribulation and has no merits."

"What a pity... You've just acquired this method, and you'll need to spend time studying it. That guy can't help you right now either. Whether you can successfully refine your inner energy within the Water-Fire Spirit Chamber within six months depends on your luck."

Fang Shu listened attentively.

For some reason, he had a vague feeling that the White Crane Immortal in front of him treated the Dragon Maiden quite well, and the "pity" in his tone was too strong, as if he was not only feeling sorry for him.

However, this was a trivial matter, and Fang Shu did not dwell on it too much. His most urgent task was to refine his inner energy!

On the dragon's head, the White Crane Immortal, after a moment of regret, stood completely still, reverting to its sculpted form.

Seeing this, Fang Shu bowed repeatedly, bid farewell to the white crane, and immediately crawled into the huge corpse of the earth dragon beneath his feet.

Following the meridians and blood vessels within the earth dragon's body, he soon returned to the location of his own spiritual chamber.

But just as he was about to step into the spirit chamber, he suddenly remembered that there were still a few spirit chambers left inside the earth dragon's corpse. Since they were all low-grade spirit chambers anyway, he changed his location on a whim.

Fang Shu arrived at the tail of the earth dragon, selected one that was about right, and then sat cross-legged in the new spirit chamber, entering a state of cultivation.

Contrary to what the White Crane Immortal had predicted, he only spent a few days to master the basics of the "Five Organs Refining Qi Method" and was already ready to begin refining his qi.

The reason he could move so quickly was because he had used up the dragon energy he had recently accumulated in the Dao talisman.
Unfortunately, dragon energy is rare, and even after he used up all of it, he still couldn't completely decipher the technique.

After careful consideration, Fang Shu, to ensure a safe outcome, continued to patiently suppress his thoughts, focusing his mind on the "Five Organs Refining Qi Method," unifying his mind and spirit, and working together to comprehend and analyze the method.

Time flies, and more than two months have passed since Fang Shu came to this mountain peak.

On this day, another building quietly appeared in the many spirit chambers that were being ravaged by the fierce winds.

That was the Water and Fire Spirit Chamber where Fang Shu was located.

He finally thoroughly understood the "Five Organs Refining Qi Method," comprehended everything, and began refining his qi.

Soon, spiritual light surged within the spiritual chamber where he was, displaying five colors: the Crimson Emperor, the White Emperor, the Azure Emperor, the Black Emperor, and the Yellow Emperor. The five flavors of true energy were all present beside him in an orderly manner, without any errors occurring.
The next step is just one final step: he will absorb all this vital energy into his body and condense it together, and then he will be done.
