Chapter 50 Fierce Battle at the Dock (Seeking monthly votes and continued reading)
"Ding ding ding, ding ding ding."

Inside the office area, an emergency call rang, and the three groups of employees on duty stopped what they were doing and looked up at the same time.

Tonight, we received a notification from the CIB that there was an arms deal at Tsuen Wan Ferry Pier involving "Bearded Yung," a big boss of the Yi Tzu-Tai gang. Assistant Inspector Lam Tin-shing of Team E will lead the operation, with Teams A and B cooperating. A total of 28 officers have received their equipment and are ready to go. All vehicles are prepared for the operation.

With his legs propped up on the table, wearing a black knit sweater, Cheung Kam-wing answered the phone and said loudly, "West Kowloon Major Crimes Case, what's the matter?"

"Get to work, buddy. Tsuen Wan Terminal 1, call me when we arrive." The CIB clerk said concisely and hung up the phone.

Zhang Jinrong slammed down the phone, landed on his feet, stood up and looked at his boss: "Sir, CIB call, Tsuen Wan Container Terminal 1, there are arms being unloaded."

Lin Tiansheng had already stood up, a bulletproof vest prominently displayed on his upper body. He stubbed out his cigarette in a glass jar and ordered, "Let's go!"

Chen Sheng and Shi Zhanpeng, the two assistants, immediately waved their hands and said, "Go go go."

"Get things done, get things done."

The brightly lit Major Crimes Unit was instantly abuzz with excitement. The officers filed out from both the front and back doors, displaying remarkable orderliness.

They transformed into two sharp arrows, running down the stairs and quickly boarding the personnel vehicle. Three cars and two police vans, with flashing lights, sped out of the West Kowloon Police Station and headed straight for the Tsuen Wan Container Terminal.

At this moment, Lin Tiansheng, with an M16 in his hand, a .38 pistol at his waist, and a tactical knife tucked into his leg, sat in the passenger seat of the lead vehicle, fully in command. Unlike the previous two missions, he was leading twenty-six police officers, a formidable force. However, dealing with arms dealers was no less dangerous than the five-man team's showdown with the ruthless Big Circle Gang members in the Mong Kok Building.

But twenty-odd people, at most a platoon, could still be easily commanded by Lin Tiansheng, given his military skills. He had served as a temporary commander in many exercises, and on one occasion, even took command of a mixed company after his superior was killed in action.

Therefore, he clearly knew that on the battlefield, to ensure the smooth operation of the command chain, Chen Sheng and Shi Zhanpeng's two groups had to be led by them.

To achieve glory and instant fame, I must personally lead Group E as the elite squad. This isn't suicidal arrogance, but rather a matter of personal responsibility; I must do it myself. Delegating to others might ensure my safety, but the outcome is uncertain, and a major mistake could ruin my career.

Several plans had just taken shape in their minds when the convoy, with its lights off and horns extinguished, quietly drove into Tsuen Wan Ferry Pier, stopping by the gate and encountering the CIB personnel.

As soon as Lin Tiansheng got out of the car, Tan Jiaming, a member of the paparazzi, stepped forward and saluted, saying, "Lin sir, the cargo ship has docked. The Number Gang is unloading the cargo. It's probably because things are getting tense, so they're unloading and loading it on the spot and transferring it directly to another ship to go out to sea."

After Lin Tiansheng relayed the call channel to Tan Jiaming, he remained expressionless: "The goods aren't being shipped out, right? Can you confirm the container number?"

"Weapons are mixed with several containers of clothing and fabrics, and we can't determine the container numbers," Tan Jiaming said. Chen Sheng and Shi Zhanpeng, who had followed him, both changed their expressions. Zhang Jinrong asked, "How many people?"

Tan Jiaming looked at him: "Twenty-four men, all armed with lethal weapons, each with an AK47, as well as grenades and shotguns."

Lin Tiansheng nodded slightly, feeling that he was still a step too late, and immediately said, "Take us there right away."

The good news is that loading and unloading are done on the spot, and the goods don't touch the ground, which ensures that criminals cannot open the containers and access more powerful heavy weapons. The bad news is that there are quite a few criminals, and there may be casualties.

"Aren't we going to call the Flying Tigers?" Tan Jiaming cautiously reminded him. Lin Tiansheng waved his hand decisively: "The Major Crimes Unit can handle it."

A frontline commander could decide whether or not to call for reinforcements, depending on the situation. Not calling for the Flying Tigers would certainly cause them to stand out, but if the casualties were heavy, he might incur the resentment of his comrades. But for Lin Tiansheng, he had no choice but to risk his life and fight to the very end.

Following the paparazzi's car into Container Terminal A, Zhong Zhihui's voice came through the earpiece: "Inspector Lin, CIB has sealed off the terminal."

"Roger that." Lin Tiansheng raised his gun and led the Major Crimes Unit at high speed along the container. The CIB had already done a great deal of work by providing intelligence support; they couldn't expect the intelligence department to do the frontline assaults.

Although the Major Crimes Unit conducts regular training, its military skills and offensive pace are completely incomparable to those of the Mobile Force and the Flying Tigers.

Through the earpiece, three major crime squads, under Lin Tiansheng's command, had already deployed, forming three arrows to sandwich the Number Gang in the middle.

Lin Tiansheng raised his hand to signal the E team members behind him to stop, intending to synchronize their attacks. Suddenly, Chen Sheng's slightly panicked voice came through the earpiece: "Inspector Lin, what if a bullet hits the ammunition and causes an explosion?"

Clearly, the problem had been weighing on his mind for a long time, only finally surfaced just before the firefight. Lin Tiansheng sighed inwardly, unable to blame him, and patiently explained, "The container is very thick, and there are packaging boxes inside. Even if you spray bullets at the container, the chance of it exploding is negligible. Go all out and fire!" Chen Sheng's tense expression relaxed, and he perked up: "Understood."

All officers could hear the conversation through their earpieces, which reassured those who had questions.

Just as Shi Zhanpeng arrived at the location, he suddenly saw a gunman carrying an AK47 relieving himself at the entrance of the container aisle.

Before he could give the order, one of the officers rushing ahead panicked and fired his gun prematurely.

"Da da da."

The sudden sound of gunfire from the side shattered the harbor's silence.

The gunman at the crossing immediately fell to the ground, but the gunshot attracted an attack. In an instant, five or six people rushed over with guns and opened fire wildly into the passage.

The unexpected gunfire put the other officers on high alert. Shi Zhanpeng from Team B had already revealed his location and engaged in a firefight with the criminals ahead of schedule.

Gunshots rang out in everyone's earpieces, mixed with several screams. Someone shouted, "Officer Shi has been shot! Officer Shi has been shot!"

"Damn it," Lin Tiansheng cursed under his breath, then decisively grabbed his gun and charged out: "Get to work."

The remaining two groups immediately rushed out, especially Group E, led by Lin Tiansheng. Although they had the fewest members, they were the closest and went straight into the middle of the criminals.

"Ta-ta-ta, ta-ta-ta."

Zhang Jinrong and Ma Delong, carrying bulletproof shields, bent over with their knees bent and pistols in their right hands, stood at the forefront. Lin Tiansheng, Deng Gengyun, He Li, A Cong, and Da Zai formed a line, each carrying an M16, and rapidly opened fire on the criminals at the dock. Then, they split into groups of four, each group with their shields at the front, using the open space as cover, and crouched down to fire from fixed positions.

After spotting Group B, almost all the gunmen from the Number Gang raised their guns and opened fire on Group B's position, subjecting Group B to the most firepower and inadvertently creating opportunities for Groups A and E.

Lin Tiansheng had a keen sense of smell and his timing in filling in was perfect. He caught the criminal off guard from both the front and the back.

Most of the twenty-four criminals were stationed at the dock, while only eight or nine stood on the cargo ship, looking down and firing wildly.

"Police officers are here!"

"Damn it, let's fight them! Taking one is no loss, taking two is a win." The criminal was extremely arrogant and could be described as reckless.

One of them, after being wounded, picked up a grenade and attempted to detonate it. But a figure flew out, decapitated him with a scissor kick, and then, with a raised elbow and a powerful sweep, knocked him unconscious.

It was Yunzi who rushed to the front after entering the scene. Yunzi subdued a criminal, picked up a grenade from the ground, pulled the pin himself, and threw it forward, shouting, "Here you go!"

"Oh!"

Two of Chen Sheng's men immediately stopped and walked around him.

Bloodshed is often only temporary. With the sound of thunder, more than a dozen gunmen on the shore fell to the ground like grass after being shot. The remaining gunmen ran and howled, some jumped into the water, and some abandoned their guns.

The gunmen on the cargo ship quickly disappeared, vanished without a trace.

After bringing the scene under control, Lin Tiansheng was not complacent. The police raid was a minor accident that would not affect the outcome. As long as it was properly arranged, how could it cause huge casualties?

It's one thing if criminals attack police and cause heavy casualties, but if police attack criminals and there are no intelligence errors, the success rate is close to 99%.

"Call customs and marine police to inspect the goods and rescue the people," Lin Tiansheng shouted into the walkie-talkie.
