Hogwarts Study Panel
Chapter 143: Sheen will do anything.
Chapter 143: Sheen will do anything.
The portraits at Hogwarts are among the most convincing examples of realist art, filled with the protagonist's memories and emotions. The figures in the portraits can even move between different frames, interact with living people, drink and make merry, sing loudly, or scream at the top of their lungs.
However, these portraits that can talk and communicate are not quite transformed from wizards, knights, or anything like that into animals.
Ron's vision went black, because the owl actually started asking them questions:
"Little wizard! Silly little wizard! The snake's enemy, yes, who is the snake's enemy?"
To Ron and Harry's surprise, Hermione and Justin actually started thinking about it seriously.
They racked their brains until a note slipped out from under the door. Justin picked it up and said:
"It is a deer. In the history of symbolism, the deer is 'the enemy of the snake, driving it out of its hole and killing it.'"
Mr. Owl humanely expressed his disdain:
"Using the wisdom of others is a form of wisdom, but constantly relying on..."
Before it could finish speaking, it froze, motionless, and a door appeared.
Harry and Ron comforted themselves, thinking it was just like that strange door knocker from Ravenclaw.
They were now extremely excited—no wonder no one could find this secret organization—it was a secret base guarded by owls!
But at the same time, they were also very worried:
"Mr. Finley, what if we can't answer that?"
Their tone unconsciously became cautious.
"It's okay, you can still come in even if you can't answer the question."
Justin patiently explained.
"what?!"
Harry and Ron exclaimed in surprise, "What were they just doing?"
Don't you guys find answering questions interesting?
Hermione asked, tilting her chin up.
Harry and Ron shook their heads like rattles.
During their conversation, they had already entered the classroom.
It was almost as big as the Gryffindor common room. There were two wooden tables and a crackling fireplace, with carpets on the tables and around the fireplace, and cozy pumpkin lanterns on them.
The plants are plentiful and neatly arranged, and countless candles float in the air. In the center is a soft sofa and several individual tables.
These tables are fitted with movable wooden planks, making them look like some kind of transformation device.
Why do I say that? Because as soon as they came in, a wooden plank of a table began to slowly fall down.
—It's Sheen.
He smiled gently and nodded to them.
Harry and Ron hurriedly nodded in response.
For a moment, they felt as if they had never known anything about Hogwarts Castle, otherwise how could there be a room hidden there that they knew nothing about?
Suddenly, a voice startled Harry and Ron, making them jump:
"Button up your coat properly, it's all crooked and messy, like a burnt fried dough stick!"
The voice criticized.
Harry looked around in alarm, and after a while, he incredulously fixed his gaze on the mirror.
"It... looks like the mirror in my house."
Ron snapped out of his reverie and whispered.
He was referring to the mirror that sat on the fireplace mantle in the kitchen of the Weasley Burrow.
They are the same alchemical creation.
Harry nodded blankly. From now on, he wouldn't be surprised even if Professor Snape crawled out of the cupboard.
“Harry…Ron…”
Neville came running over with the scissors in his hand.
"I'm so happy... to see you all here... I've wanted to tell you for so long, but I didn't dare..."
"Oh, it's not your fault, Neville."
Harry was touched. He understood Neville's feelings perfectly. If he had such a secret base, he wouldn't let anyone else know.
Of course, Ron and Hermione are exceptions... as well as Sheehan and Justin... oh, Neville too...
He laughed as he thought about it—it seemed like all these people were here.
"Alright, I'm ready to accept the magical treatment."
Ron stammered, and Harry nodded. "What is...receiving magical powers?"
Hermione found it all very strange.
"It's the magic Sheen cast on Neville that makes him smarter."
It was Ron who spoke again, feeling both ashamed and expectant.
"I'm telling you, Harry, and Ron, do you think Sheen is Merlin? How could he possibly have this kind of magic?"
Justin put his hand to his forehead and laughed so hard he almost fell over.
"What an idiot!"
Hermione found it both infuriating and hilarious.
"Then—what about Neville—"
Harry explained hastily.
"Of course it was Neville's own effort; we—mainly Sheen—just helped out a bit."
Justin stopped laughing and explained seriously.
He pointed to the wooden shelf by the entrance. Ron's eyes lit up the moment he looked. It was the Grimm Notebook! A complete, incredibly thick notebook—something he'd never imagined!
Ron didn’t think he would ever think a book was better the thicker it was, but the Green Notebooks were nothing like those stupid books—he could understand them very easily!
"You can write your questions on the parchment at the back of your notebooks, and Sheen will write the answers in the morning. Hmm, are there any other branches of magic that you don't understand?"
Justin has mastered all branches of magic quite well, almost catching up with Hermione. He is currently the best young wizard in the Hufflepuff family, and is jokingly referred to as "Little Hermione" by the Hufflepuffs.
"Um……"
Harry and Ron stammered.
"understood."
Justin said it in a tone that said, "This seems like two big problems, but it's okay."
"The Grimm's Notebook can solve most of your problems. If there are still things you don't understand—for herbalism, you can ask me and Neville; for spells and transfiguration, you'll have to ask Hermione; if you still don't understand, you can ask Sheen when you go to the Great Hall."
By the way, find some time to test your spell proficiency with Sheen. I mean, find a time when Sheen is free and in a good mood.
He emphasized the last point.
"Do you have any other questions?"
Harry and Ron were deeply shocked and shook their heads at the same time.
Two new wooden tables have been added to the classroom, which Justin had prepared long ago.
Harry and Ron excitedly took their seats, looking at the steaming honey lemon tea on their table, the Grimm's Notebooks displayed in the wooden cabinet, and the various desserts on the small wooden table... They exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with excitement.
—That's fantastic!
Even after the fire had been burning for a while, Harry and Ron still couldn't believe they had entered this secret room.
They also learned the name of the cabin from the sign behind the door—The Gifted Hope Room.
After a while, when it was time to eat, Harry and Ron cautiously nudged Justin.
"Mr. Finley, what is the name of our club? Are there any rules?"
This surprised Justin. Of the group, Sheehan and himself were unlikely to do anything unexpected—like pulling someone else in without permission or revealing the location or information of the cabin. Hermione was often alone, Neville was honest but somewhat shy…
But now, it seems that it is indeed true...
"We need to discuss this, everyone!"
Justin shouted, by which time Sheehan had already left Hope Hut.
"Isn't Sheen participating?"
Harry was a little confused.
“Oh—Sheen isn’t bound by the rules, he can do whatever he wants.”
Justin looked at Hermione and Neville.
Hermione rolled her eyes and said, "Sheen isn't like you guys"; Neville nodded shyly and vigorously.
