Chapter 19: Charms Lesson

Chapter 19: Charms Lesson
"Thank you, Ms. Gray."

Sheen expressed his sincere gratitude.

The bewildered young wizards watched as the ghost floated away and the stairs returned to their positions.
It surged forward like a rising tide.

"Sheen, how did you do that?"

Amidst the murmur of conversation, Michael's voice rang in Sheehan's ear.

Anthony and Terry also perked up their ears.

"Hogwarts Castle was built in the 10th century, and the spiral staircase inside was designed by Rowena Ravenclaw..."

Sheen said this,

All three of them understood.

In that moment of panic, who could have thought of that!

More importantly, seek help from ghosts.
Michael thought it was a joke by the prefect.

"But how do you know that Ms. Gray can definitely influence the spiral staircase?"

Michael asked in a low voice.

"I don't know, but trying is better than doing nothing."

Sheen answered.

……

They still made it to the Charms classroom, just as the bell rang.

The young wizards, their faces flushed, took their seats.

The seating arrangement in the Charms class classroom is quite unique.

In the very center is a corridor, with four rows of connected seats scattered on either side.

Sheen found the nearest seat and sat down, right next to Hermione, who had her head buried in her book.

She was all alone until Sheen sat down.

Then came Michael, Terry, and Anthony.

You were almost late.

Hermione buried her head in the book, making muffled noises.

Sheen nodded and turned his gaze to the pile of books at the end of the corridor.

The professor's curse was cast on a wizard of unusually small stature, Professor Flitwick.

He had just emerged from behind the first row of seats when he attracted the attention of all the young wizards.

Everyone stared curiously at the professor, who was only one meter tall, with his fluffy white hair and beard.

He turned around and climbed step by step to the top of the pile of books.

Everyone was stunned.

Once he had regained his footing, the young wizards couldn't help but laugh.

"Okay, okay, a little laugh isn't a bad thing, right?"

Professor Flitwick seemed completely unconcerned. He straightened his collar and continued in a relaxed voice,
"Spells are a skill that every wizard should learn."
If a wizard doesn't know spells, then what right does he have to be called a wizard?

He spoke while waving his wand.
He didn't even chant any incantations, and the books just flew up.

They swayed as Professor Flitwick's wand directed.
One moment it's the size of a school desk, the next it's the size of a fingernail.

With a simple wave of his hand, Professor Flitwick created dozens of copies.
In the end, they all turned into various animals running and jumping.

Hermione looked curiously at the rabbit that had run to the desk.

With a loud "bang," all the animals turned into fireworks and disappeared.

"Cool!"

"Wow!"

Excited and surprised shouts came from the audience.

Professor Flitwick smiled and nodded.

The Charms class began amidst this excitement.

Just as Sheehan remembered, Professor Flitwick explained the theory of spells in a clear and concise manner.

He then began to teach the simplest spell—the Fluorescent Spell.

"The key to the fluorescent flashing lies in the wrist movement; the pause must be decisive..."

Professor Flitwick's voice echoed in the classroom.

Everyone put in their best effort and most of them succeeded.

……

The tip of Sheen's wand shone continuously.

"Success!"

Michael practiced three times, and then the tip of his wand began to gleam.

He turned his head excitedly and happened to see that Terry's wand tip was also glowing.

As for Anthony, he seemed to have studied it beforehand, and he succeeded on his first try.

“Fine,” Michael said, pursing his lips, and went to find another young wizard.

"Sheen?"

"Sheen?"

"Huh? Sheen, didn't you hear me?"

Michael tilted his head and leaned closer.

But all that remained in Sheehan's mind was Professor Flitwick's voice—

"If you consistently fail to produce a fluorescent flash, you should try one of the following methods."
That is to imagine yourself in complete darkness, longing for light, ah, you long for light so much…

"eager……"

Sheen muttered to himself, recalling the nights at the orphanage, the rooms without even candles, their power cut off early in the morning.
Back then, London was a haven for fugitives, and the wind and snow rattled against the drafty windows.

Sheen lay in his hospital bed, unafraid, but his longing for light remained.

"I have a wand now,"

Sheen said,
"Lumos!"

"Merlin! Look, everyone, look at Mr. Sean Green!"

Professor Flitwick excitedly ran down from the pile of books.

The entire classroom was bathed in a soft light.

The young wizards held their breath, staring at the ball of light that was at least ten times larger, and at the young wizard holding a wand, his hair gleaming silver.

"Perfect fluorescent shimmer, I'd give Ravenclaw a ten!"

The young wizards heard Professor Flitwick say...

……

"Sheen, Sheen, how did you do that? Teach me, I really want to learn."

Michael kept babbling in my ear.

"It's an emotion,"

Sheen said seriously,

"Magic is something that wizards possess inherently. Its strength depends on the wizard's emotions or mental power."

"mood?"

Michael repeated himself, and Anthony, Terry, and Hermione, who were eavesdropping behind him, also seemed to be deep in thought.

In the brief moment they were stunned, Sheen had already turned into the auditorium.

Justin sat down beside him as if he had radar installed.
He always manages to find Sheen.

Sheehan was curiously poking at the steak and kidney pudding, wondering what the British wizards were thinking when they invented this dish.

He ate his food while thinking.

The theory of magic repeatedly emphasizes the relationship between mental power and emotions.

Such as:

"When you master a spell, to truly unleash its full power..."

Phrases like "and sufficient mental strength" appear repeatedly in the book.

Sheen thought that spiritual power was probably a collective entity, containing the wizard's mental level and emotions.

Mental level is probably something like willpower.

Emotions, on the other hand, are not difficult to understand.

These two points combined are the key to advancing "My Thinking Power".

Emotions have a significant impact on magic, which is probably the most idealistic aspect of magic.

Mrs. Weasley, who has lost one child and now has to protect another,
During the final battle, Bella used Fred's death as a trigger.

Mrs. Weasley screamed in a fit of rage:

"You are never allowed to touch my child again!"

Five silent spells were then used to instantly turn the tide and kill Bella.

Harry, by the Forbidden Forest lake, to protect his godfather Black's life,

Shout:

"Ex—pec—to—Pa—tro—num!"

The next moment, an extremely powerful guardian spell was unleashed, driving away hundreds of Dementors.

These examples made Sheehan realize that

Emotions hold such a powerful place in magic.

"If the emotion of the Fluorescent Charm is longing, then what is the Cleansing Charm?"

Thinking this through, Sheen subconsciously said goodbye to Justin and headed towards the greenhouse.

Huh?
Justin?
Sheen glanced back at Justin again.
