Chapter 202: New Fantastic Beast Titles

[You've gained the favor of the magical creature Thestral (U-U) with beginner-level skill; your proficiency has increased by 3.]

……

A new title in the Fantastic Beasts realm has been unlocked. Please check it out.

As the sun began to set, Sheen earned a new title.

[Title: Intermediate Magical Creature Affinity]

[Slightly increases affinity with magical creatures, significantly increases understanding of magical creatures]

Has your comprehension improved?

That sounds amazing.

Sheehan thought of a certain Hufflepuff senior who possessed an exceptional understanding of magical creatures, almost to the point of being able to communicate with his Bowtruckle in English.

Outside the cabin.

When Tira was hanging from his wrist, Sheen no longer interpreted Tira's behavior through the techniques Hagrid had mentioned.

He stared intently at Tira, vaguely sensing that it seemed... a little cold?

wrong!

Sheen quickly put it in his pocket and padded it with thick soft padding.

So, Tira didn't like her pockets, but they were cold?

No wonder it climbed onto its arm as soon as it arrived at the warm and cozy Hagrid's cabin.

You have gained the favor of the magical creature Bowtruckle (Tira) with your proficiency, skill level +10.

Sheen: "..."

I'm so sorry.

Stepping through the still-unmelted snow, Sheen walked across the Quidditch training ground.

He has an alchemy class in the afternoon and will be brewing potions in the evening.

I don't know if Professor McGonagall will allow me to continue my research on alchemy...

Compared to alchemy, which requires an excellent level of Transfiguration to be chosen as an elective, Transfiguration is more like a foundational skill.

The difference between the two is that one is about understanding magic, and the other is about modifying magic.

Therefore, the professor's concerns are not unfounded; for first-year wizards, laying a solid foundation is the most important thing...

On the Quidditch pitch.

As the Ravenclaw Quidditch match drew closer, the weather worsened. The Ravenclaw team, filled with anticipation and spurred on by Roger's efforts to salvage the situation, trained even harder.

"Beat Hufflepuff, then Gryffindor. Merlin—maybe we really can win the House Cup."

Michael, as one of the audience members, was excitedly shaking Terry.

"Stop shaking!"

Terry was also a little excited, but by then Michael had shaken him out of it.

"To be precise, we still need to get enough participation points."

Anthony stated calmly.

To put it precisely...

Michael strangely imitated Anthony's voice, then was hit on the head by a book controlled by Anthony's levitation spell.

"Ouch—!"

He covered his head and lunged at Anthony.

Right below their stands, on the edge of the Quidditch pitch, Minerva McGonagall stood calmly in the snow.

She was obviously overly concerned, forgetting that every little wizard has their own path.

When she worried about his future, did she ask the child for his wishes?
“Mr. Green, over here.”

So she said softly, “Professor McGonagall.”

Sheen's figure approached rapidly, blurry in the wind and snow, and soon his youthful face appeared.

"You really enjoy alchemy, and you're quite good at it, aren't you, Mr. Green?"

Professor McGonagall softened her voice and asked.

"Yes, Professor."

Seemingly sensing something, Sheen answered honestly.

"Then go ahead and do it. If you have any questions about Transfiguration, ask me."

Professor McGonagall seemed satisfied with the answer. She patted Sheehan's head and left the Quidditch pitch. Before leaving, she glanced back instinctively because of the shouts coming from inside.

Sheen was left standing in the snow, slightly dazed.

In the afternoon alchemy class, Sheen attended with the older students.

Although Sheen made rapid progress in alchemy, he had not yet fully mastered some of the basics.

Alchemy has evolved to a point where its vastness is unimaginable to ordinary wizards, so when Sheen had the time, Professor Terra suggested that he come in and audit the courses.

The professor saw him enter the classroom, a complex emotion flashing across his eyes, but in the end he simply assigned him the nearest seat.

Beside him was Pamela Payton, the best alchemist in Ravenclaw.

The desks, designed specifically for older students, were very tall. Sheen waved his wand, raising the chair a bit, before his head finally popped out.

Professor Terra's face showed a rare hint of a smile, followed by a lecture three times longer than usual:

"Roman sorcerers secretly believed in the god Mithras of Zoroastrianism, and Mithrasism spread widely within the Roman Empire, with the aforementioned Greek 'black magic papyrus' regarded as prayers of the god Mithras."

Some shamans believe that the cultural exchange between Germanic and Roman shamans facilitated the birth of runes.

The Mithraic rituals of the Roman and Persian magical communities even directly gave rise to the initial forms of several alchemical rituals…

The sheer volume of magical ritual knowledge nearly caused the senior wizards' feather notebooks to burn out.

So when Professor Terra received a paper airplane and hurriedly left the classroom, the older wizards, who had been peeking around, quickly abandoned alchemy and started making a ruckus.

Have you been to the newly opened Magic House in Diagon Alley?

The speaker was a Gryffindor wizard. He took a Transformation Cookie out of his bag.

"Of course, the Animal Party series! My father said the shop's reputation had spread throughout the UK even before it opened. Merlin—you actually managed to snag one!"

"The Gryffindors who were with him exclaimed in surprise."

"I dare say the alchemist behind this must be a master who has studied for many years, combining animal transformation with alchemy and food magic—what a brilliant idea!"

The blond wizard continued.

Actually not.

Sheen thought to himself.

Professor Terra quickly returned and threw the noisy Gryffindor wizard out of the alchemy classroom. The people in the classroom didn't even have time to mourn before they entered a new round of magic learning.

As he left the office, Sheen had gained more knowledge about ritual magic, which gave him a better grasp of the upcoming new ritual.

However, Professor Snape has been acting strangely lately, making him hard to understand.

Emerging from the alchemy classroom and entering the spacious, echoing foyer lit by torches, the aroma of food wafted from the Great Hall; Sheen could practically walk in with his eyes closed.

Sheen often went to the edge of the location, where the little wizards of Hope Hut sat.

Even Harry and Ron moved in, and now everyone is almost united.

Perhaps it was because they shared the same secret, or perhaps it was because of a potential crisis.

Everyone agreed that they should act collectively.

However, it's located at the Ravenclaw table, in a more lively spot.

The Quidditch team members, who had just returned from training, were gathered here. Roger and Prefect Penelope were both focused in the same direction.
