Chapter 224: The International Wizarding Federation
Chapter 224: The International Wizarding Federation
The International Confederation of Wizards, founded in France by Pierre Bonacourt, is an international magical organization that aims to promote international cooperation in the magical world and functions as the United Nations of the magical community.
This organization seems to have little presence, as it's difficult for young wizards to access. Along with Wizengamo, it's a high-level organization that young wizards vaguely know about, but not extensively.
Now, this mysterious organization has come knocking on our door.
They met in a special room in the castle, the door of which was marked "Special Meeting Room".
Upon entering the room, Sheen suddenly realized something and said in a very low voice:
"Professor Terra, I don't think I saw any..."
"Silly child,"
Professor Terra, still looking pleased, said in a lighthearted tone:
"No more of those silly Ministry of Magic organizations? Or no more of those meddlesome members of the International Wizarding Federation?"
If you're worried about the International Alchemy Convention being defined as an illegal assembly, you should be more worried about us considering the Ministry of Magic an illegal organization… What if I told you that Vargado once went to war with the African Magical Union, and—won?
Seeing Sheen's shocked expression, Professor Terra shook her head. Her disciple, who clearly possessed the potential to overturn the entire magical world, showed not a trace of ambition.
But on another, more sublime level... he was truly ambitious.
This made Professor Terra even more gratified.
As they talked, they entered the room.
Sheen followed behind the two professors, looking around the place.
This is a small room located on the west side of the castle, cramped yet warm.
The walls were filled with bookshelves that reached the ceiling, and the books, seemingly brought to life, spread out in stacks across the floor. In the center of the room, an old stone fireplace crackled and popped, its flickering flames illuminating the old carpet beside it.
The only window was a long, narrow arch, set in the thick stone wall. Outside, the castle was engulfed in a stormy night. Occasionally, a gust of wind would howl through, rattling the ancient window, but inside, it remained undisturbed, peaceful and safe.
The three well-dressed wizards seemed to have been waiting here for a long time, and they were even a little confused.
“Master Terra,”
The wizard in the middle, dressed in a sharp black robe, spoke up.
"May I ask, have none of this year's young geniuses filed a single patent application?"
Professor Terra's smile seemed even brighter.
“Wait a moment, August, perhaps they are waiting too…”
The wizard known as August's eyes sharpened instantly. His fiery gaze swept over everyone, lingering on Professor McGonagall for a second before staring intently at Sheen behind the two.
"So young, such a young gold medalist...so young, so promising..."
He rushed over and reached out his hand.
"Ryley August, Vice President of the International Wizarding Federation and current Director of the Department of Education, sincerely thanks you for your contributions to the wizarding world."
Sheehan's outstretched hand was shaken violently, and he fully felt the enthusiasm of the Minister of Education.
"Mr. August, isn't this a bit too impolite?"
The younger witch standing nearby frowned. As a member of the Auror Division, she couldn't fully understand Riley August's behavior.
ten minutes later.
“Mr. Green, please consider it, five hundred Galleons, one piece—” She made the offer urgently, what did she hear?
The cat-like creature that can distinguish between good and evil and automatically find its way; the Bowtruckle that can perfectly conceal itself; that damned fire dragon; and the unimaginable derivative products that followed...
From today onward, offers will be flying around for this alchemist, especially from those damned old alchemists—what offer can't they come up with?!
Riley August looked at his dear Auror deputy minister with a strange expression; he could completely understand the Auror's feelings.
As an Auror active on the front lines of the battlefield, she understood all too well the immense value of this ability to silently identify and conceal oneself.
If sales channels were opened, no Auror would refuse to exchange three months' salary for a guarantee of survival.
“My dear Ollie Mitchell, I’m sorry for being rude.”
August stopped Auli's behavior. In the world of alchemy, it is extremely rude to ask a disciple a question before the teacher.
This is the most fiercely protective place in the entire magical world. If you dare to show any threat to the old alchemist's disciple, the half-buried old wizard won't hesitate to fight you to the death.
Unfortunately, if you give them some time, you have no idea what kind of alchemical creation an old wizard will be facing.
"Feel sorry."
Ollie lowered her head slightly, her eyes filled with resentment.
The heavy rain outside pounded against the windowpane, and after a short while...
Sheen followed the professors out of the room.
Riley Auguste ultimately only made a vague promise to the professor—that the Auror Department would have the opportunity to inquire every six months when it wanted to apply for a Fairy Tale Cookie quota.
It was only then that Sheen realized the enormous waves that the fairytale cookies would create in the magical world.
"Did you notice that?"
Professor Terra, with Sheen by her side, watched the young wizard's changing expression, a subtle look on her face.
"Rumors are the thing wizards can least control; with reputation comes endless trouble. My disciple, you should learn to find a spokesperson for yourself."
……
After politely declining Professor Terra's recommendation, Sheen sat down in the spacious and cozy cabin chair.
When the banquet was over, the hidden rooms disappeared, and in their place appeared some separate rooms with a distinctly alchemical style.
Just like the space where the seats are enchanted with an invisible expansion spell, every place here is equally frighteningly spacious.
It looks like just a cozy little house, but it actually comes with a garden, a swimming pool, and a large alchemy room filled with alchemical materials and equipment.
Sheehan enjoyed his dessert while glancing at Professor Dumbledore's notes, a look of satisfaction on his face.
After all, he hadn't had Chinese food in a long time...
"Spokesperson..."
As raindrops slid across the window, Sheen sensed something. He took a button out of his bag, which was now slightly warm.
This is a special button shared with Justin, and the summoning charm inside can only be selected from buttons made of mud, Thestral tail feathers, and trees.
This almost name-based selection allows them to feel each other's call even when separated by great distances.
Sheen's deep gaze was fixed on the torrential rain streaming through the window.
What happened at Hogwarts tonight, when he happened to be away and when Headmaster Dumbledore happened to be away...?
