Chapter 23: Missing Potion Ingredients
Chapter 23: Missing Potion Ingredients
"Are you ok?"
Michael carefully lifted Sean up.
The little wizard was still breathing heavily.
"I am fine."
After a few minutes of recovery, Sheen came to his senses.
He overestimated his health, which was still recovering from a serious illness.
He decided to slow down next time and prioritize learning to fly, making it his top priority after securing the scholarship.
"Ok."
Michael's eyebrows drooped, and his eyes flickered.
Once she got to the dorm, things became much simpler for Sheen.
They only need to deal with simple assignments for History of Magic, Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, and Defense Against the Dark Arts.
These were originally assignments with a one-week deadline, but Sheen clearly didn't intend to drag it out that long.
He completed his Defense Against the Dark Arts paper in just half an hour.
The essay on Spells didn't even last twenty minutes in his hands.
The only thing to watch out for is the one-foot-long history of magic paper.
Although there was a lot, Sheen had basically finished it last time, with only the ending left.
"Are you kidding..."
Michael, who witnessed the whole thing, was somewhat stunned.
"You finished three assignments just like that?"
Does it also include that terrifyingly long paper on the history of magic?
Sheen turned her head, her long eyelashes trembling slightly.
"Don't look at me with that 'This is normal, can't you do it?' expression!"
Michael slammed the book shut.
"I guarantee that no one can finish these assignments right now!"
As he spoke, he quickly left the dormitory, returning with two wizards following behind him.
Terry and Anthony.
"Sorry for disturbing you."
Anthony greeted him politely.
Michael said there are plums here...
Terry spoke shyly.
The long-haired little wizard quickly covered her mouth.
"Sheen, look, no one has finished yet."
Michael proudly tossed up two pieces of parchment, each with nearly three inches of writing on it, but still far from a foot long.
"So, please teach us!"
Sheen was a little confused. Although there were indeed a lot of questions, it shouldn't be this difficult...
Looking into the three pairs of inquisitive eyes, Sheen nodded and picked up his parchment.
"In fact,"
Sheen pointed to his handwriting,
“Completing a history paper is quite simple. Professor Binns gave us the topic of Emeric and the Eccentric Yuric.”
The first step is to draw a timeline to find the era in which these two wizards lived…
Sheen picked up the timeline he had drawn and handed it to the three people who dared not even blink.
"Next, we can find the background of their lives; the contents of the History of Magic are detailed enough."
The next step is to analyze the actions of these two wizards in the context of their actions. Well, there's a saying in the book that goes something like this: judging a character without considering the context is just being a scoundrel.
Then comes the third step: re-evaluate their behavior and present your own arguments;
The next step is the fourth: comparing the two individuals with other figures and events in historical records, combining historical analysis with theoretical discussion. This is the core of a historical paper;
Finally, you can write a summary, or discuss the value of your arguments. Adding some deeper perspectives is also a good idea.
Sheen seemed to remember something, and he opened a notebook that was half-written:
"Because of the chaotic timeline in the book 'History of Magic,' I have combined the timeline with several books such as 'Famous Wizards' and 'Strange Magical Failures and Their Revelation' to make some adjustments. You can use my notes directly."
After he finished speaking, he watched as the three young wizards' eyes went from blank to increasingly bright.
Finally, Michael reverently took the notebook and murmured:
"Sheen, you are the angel Merlin sent to save us..."
This is my Bible...
Parchment, where is my parchment?
I'm going to fight it for another three hundred rounds!
Terry and Anthony also displayed unimaginable enthusiasm.
The three of them flipped through the notes.
The only sounds in the dormitory were the scratching of quill pens and the crackling of the fireplace flames. Anthony's heartfelt thanks still lingered in Sheehan's ears.
He nodded and effortlessly completed his paper on the transformation course.
In fact, that theory can be applied to all assignments.
Sheen didn't notice that there were two more people in the room.
He left the Potions class homework separately and wrote down the second step of his plan in his notebook:
[Searching for ingredients to brew magic potions]
I have already mastered the basic methods of material processing. As long as I have the materials on hand, the preliminary work for brewing the potion is done.
But where do the materials come from?
The enrollment checklist didn't include purchasing any materials; the young wizards used potion-making supplies provided by Hogwarts.
So, can it be used after class?
Sheen thought,
It should be usable, but the probability of Professor Snape agreeing is infinitely close to zero.
For no apparent reason, Sheehan thought of Professor Snape's face, which was etched with rejection.
Sighing slightly,
If there's anything more terrifying than being talentless, it's being talentless and then encountering Professor Snape.
what can we do about it?
The question swirled in Sheen's mind.
Dusk also enveloped Hogwarts.
Blue and bronze silk curtains hung from the dome, their color tinged with a deep, almost night-like blue by the faint moonlight filtering through the windows.
The air was filled with the slightly astringent scent of old book pages, the supple aroma of parchment, and a crisp, cool quality, like the air after a rain.
Sheen's gaze fell upon the huge arched window.
His emerald eyes seemed veiled by a layer of mist common in Scottish autumn and winter, reflecting the flickering light from the fireplace.
"There will always be a way."
Sheen said to himself,
"This is the magical Hogwarts."
The long night passed, and the castle awoke once more.
The stone statues in the corridor were bathed in the first warm rays of orange light.
It also made the little wizard holding the book raise his hand to cover his eyes.
Wednesday.
Since there were no classes in the first period of the morning at Ravenclaw, the freshmen were still sound asleep.
Sheen, on the other hand, got up very early.
This time used to be breakfast time at the orphanage; if you missed it, it wouldn't be made up again.
So Sheen developed the good habit of going to bed early and waking up early.
He entered the Great Hall and began devouring the pumpkin soup, chicken and ham pie, and Kribitch Wizard Crisps.
Justin, who was still smiling gently, remained steadily beside him.
Good morning, Sheen.
"good morning."
Sheehan nodded, then saw Justin take out a thick book, "Directory of Famous Contemporary Magicians," and flip through it.
"Hogwarts is truly amazing. If Professor Binns hadn't assigned that one-foot-long essay,..."
I think I'll have plenty more time to explore the castle and the kitchen next to the lounge..."
When it came to homework, Justin frowned slightly, a hint of gloom settling over his sun-drenched face.
"Ah."
When Sheen heard the word "kitchen," his bright green eyes lit up.
That darn Sorting Hat! I want to be a Hufflepuff with unlimited snacks too...
he thinks.
Then he noticed something strange.
"Professor Binns also assigned Hufflepuff a one-foot paper?"
"also?"
Justin looked up in surprise.
"Could it be that……"
