Chapter 284: The Greatest Magic

Chapter 284: The Greatest Magic

"Professor McGonagall."

Sheen looked at the tall witch, whose emerald green robes were also tinged with gold in the setting sun.

"Headmaster Dumbledore."

Sheen added that the old wizard with the long, white beard was blinking kindly.

"What are you doing here?!"

Professor McGonagall looked at Sheehan, her tone already somewhat dangerous.

Sheen silently moved his foot out a little bit from behind the "Forbidden Forest, No Entry" sign.

He's currently on the edge of the forbidden forest, so he can't be counted anymore.

Minerva McGonagall found this scene both amusing and infuriating. Then, Headmaster Dumbledore spoke with a smile, his long, silvery beard and crescent-shaped spectacles gleaming in the sunset:

“Look, Minerva, it looks like we’re going to see some amazing creatures that are even more interesting than Thestrals.”

Sheen wanted to escape; he already had a premonition of what was about to happen.

On the edge of the forbidden forest, the pumpkin seedlings in the field were terrifyingly large, as were the fire dragons that would soon emerge.

Under Dumbledore's intrigued gaze and Professor McGonagall's trembling eyes, Hagrid let out a joyful roar.

Suddenly, a fire dragon appeared!

It stood upright on its hind legs, roaring and snorting – bursts of flame shot from its open, fanged mouth into the dark night sky, its neck held high, its mouth reaching thirty feet above the ground.

Seeing the fire dragon, which was five times larger than usual, Sheen took pictures without hesitation.

After a brief but precise perception, guided by a strange intuition, he realized that his guesses seemed to be correct.

Eating more Magical Beast Cookies can indeed grant more magical power. However, accepting such magic is also a huge test for wizards.

Therefore, it seems that Sheen can strengthen or weaken the ritual depending on the different wizards, which is another interesting direction...

"Sheen Green!"

Sheehan didn't dare turn around. Professor McGonagall, wearing glasses and with her hair tightly tied in a small bun, quickly stepped forward and blocked Sheehan's path. But her anger seemed more terrifying than the flames of a Norwegian Ridgeback Dragon.

Headmaster Dumbledore gave Sheehan a helpless smile, then looked at the dragon Hagrid had transformed into.

After refining his hypothesis, Sheehan sighed silently. The coincidence of Professor McGonagall and Headmaster Dumbledore's appearances was too much...

Perhaps it's not a coincidence?

He looked at the smiling old wizard.

Dumbledore seemed completely unprepared for the fire dragon Hagrid had transformed into, even though Hagrid looked so terrifying—this made Sheen frown thoughtfully.

Then his figure slowly disappeared, and a black cat opened its bright vertical pupils.

Just as Sheen had expected, even after Hagrid completed his magical beast transformation, the pine scent on him didn't seem to change.

This also seems to correspond to the rules about Animagus transformations in Professor McGonagall's notes:
Animagus will transform into an animal that matches the wizard's soul, based on the wizard's special potential.

Soul transformation does not change a wizard's personality. In other words, if a person with malicious intent transforms into a fire dragon, it will most likely cause destruction.

If Hagrid were to transform into a dragon, it would look like this—the dragon sitting next to Dumbledore, wagging its tail like a tooth, creating one huge crater after another.

This left Professor McGonagall, who was holding her wand and looking wary, somewhat speechless.

……

The next morning, in the principal's office.

“I think you’ve got the hang of it, haven’t you, child? Some magic is etched deep within our souls…like…love.”

Headmaster Dumbledore's deep gaze fell on Sheehan. "It means that no matter how appearances change, there are always some rules that will be followed."

This great magic can help us accomplish many things, including what you've always wanted to do.

If used properly, the Soul Artifact has quite a few benefits—

As a thin mist drifted through the entire principal's office, Sheen walked out of the door, lost in thought.

Bai Yi rested quietly on his shoulder, half asleep.

Only when she reached the shadows did Bai Yi regain some of her senses.

If Hagrid, in his dragon form, obeys Dumbledore's commands, would Bailey listen to him?

Inside the Hope Hut, Mr. Owl kept flapping his wings, scratching and hitting Bai Yi, but it was all in vain, since it was just a portrait.

While pondering these thoughts, Sheen continued reading "A Simple Introduction to Empty Symbols" until the second night arrived.

The nights are damp and windy, but Hagrid's cabin is always warm.

Hagrid was still beaming with joy as Sheen fed Bailey a cat biscuit:

"Oh my, what a beautiful girl—look at her feathers, look at her claws—"

Sheen didn't see anything.

The sex of owls can be distinguished by some minor characteristics, and only a wizard like Hagrid, who loves magical creatures and has in-depth knowledge of them, can tell the difference at a glance.

Bai Yi made a "cooing" sound and quickly transformed into a white-furred cat. It wobbled and jumped onto Sheen's shoulder as if this were its territory.

"Bai Yi?"

Sheen called out.

The cat gently shook its head and let out a strange meow, sounding somewhat puzzled.

"Come to me, okay?"

Sheen added.

But Bai Yi didn't seem to understand anything, she just meowed once.

As if sensing something, Sheen took out a stone slab-like object. He waved his wand, and some small ropes strung together the empty runes, which fell around Sheen's neck like a necklace.

This time, Baiyi seemed to understand. It happily jumped onto Sheen's hand, making Sheen feel his heart slowly warming.

It seems that the Soul Relics can help Sheen establish some subtle, soul-level communication.

This allows him to send some accurate instructions.

This inexplicably reminded him of the Deathly Hallows—the Resurrection Stone.

Headmaster Dumbledore once described it this way:

"The Resurrection Stone—to him, it meant an army of undead..."

"He" refers to Grindelwald, while the Infernal has never obeyed commands since it was created.

In other words, the Resurrection Stone can help Grindelwald command the dead.

This seems very similar to the effects of the Soul Relics, except that, according to Headmaster Dumbledore, Sheen and Bai are connected by love, while the Soul Relics merely serve as a means of communication.

It seems to have always served this purpose.

Even at border areas, it serves a connecting function.

The sky gradually darkened, and a fire burned in the fireplace inside the hut. The darkness brought people closer together, and it also made Sheen realize:
Love is the bridge that connects souls.
