Chapter 307: Beware

Chapter 307: Beware

Dumbledore's kind gaze deepened.

He had expected this answer, but he still felt a little emotional.

He often asked himself, what kind of education should be given to such a talented young wizard?

But when he asked that question, he was already blinded by arrogance.

It is foolish and forgetful for older people to underestimate younger people.

He gazed at the young wizard's bloodstained sword, weary eyes, and tattered robes.

"Oh, are you going to stay for tea?"

Dumbledore smiled slightly.

"No, Principal."

Sheen promptly slipped away.

I thought the principal would interrogate me with many questions...

"Child, when you fight monsters, be careful not to become a monster yourself."

Before leaving, Dumbledore's meaningful words drifted out from his office.

……

The corridor was quiet, bathed in moonlight.

Hogwarts Castle fell into a deep sleep.

After an unknown amount of time, the distant sky turned a grayish-white color, and a thin mist shrouded the Scottish Highlands like a veil.

Dumbledore sat by the window, the bubbling kettle boiling again and again.

"Albus, you should rest."

Inside the principal's office, a portrait of a witch with long, curly silver hair spoke softly.

“Principal Devonte, shouldn’t we be more tolerant?”

Dumbledore spoke in a deep tone.

He ultimately didn't ask anything, because such trust is the greatest form of tolerance.

"The boy drew the sword of Gryffindor, as you and I both know, Albus."

It always responds and appears promptly to assist the designated heir.

The witch's portrait spoke slowly, her eyes full of admiration.

“More importantly, Headmaster Dumbledore, he is an amazing boy, and his sword is not raised for himself.”

As Dumbledore closed his eyes, the Hogwarts bells rang melodiously, signaling breakfast time.

The auditorium was once again filled with owls delivering mail.

When Sheen sat down, three little wizards with dark circles under their eyes were beside him.

Justin glanced at them with considerable surprise.

For much of the time that followed, the three of them were out of sorts.

They believed they had uncovered the truth.

As always, Headmaster Dumbledore was plotting something, and Hogwarts was once again in danger.

The danger comes from a terrifying serpent monster that can kill anyone who is stared at by it.

In terms of combat, they felt they couldn't be of much help.

So the three of them searched all night for the basilisk's weakness, but so far they have found nothing.

Ask Sheen?

If Sheen had known, he wouldn't have been in such a "disgraceful" situation.

The three occasionally stole a glance at Sheen, who was engrossed in a popular science book about unique creatures.

They seem to be searching for the basilisk's weakness, just like them.

This made them feel that time was even more pressing.

And what about Sheen?

He was just studying the Basilisk Cookie ritual.

After dealing with the basilisk, he began to work on the diary.

Tom's dark magic was indeed advanced, but Sheehan had Harry, who could launch a special attack. What he had to do was simple: tell Harry the news about the diary in a dream.

All that's left to do is listen to Tom's screams.

With this thought in mind, Sheen glanced at the Gryffindor table.

Ginny's face was flushed, and it seemed that Tom hadn't recovered his strength quickly.

The next two days were very peaceful.

Sheen always goes to the secret room to increase his affinity with the monster, while Tom, who should be controlling the basilisk, has been completely still lately.

The only ones who might be worried are Harry, Meghan, and Harry, who are all out of sorts.

"Did you guys discover anything today? My muscles are all stiff."

In the auditorium, Ron groaned and lay sprawled on the table.
Filch made me polish that Quidditch trophy fourteen times before he was satisfied.

Later, while I was polishing a 'Special Contribution to School Award' plaque, I accidentally dropped it on the ground… Filch made me polish it twenty more times!

Harry and Hermione shook their heads simultaneously, their faces full of worry.

They even considered going with Sheen to confront the basilisk, rather than staying here in fear.

Sheehan would often disappear early from Hope Cottage, leaving Harry, Meghan, and Harry to watch him leave with a mixture of worry and anticipation.

And so, October arrived, and a damp chill permeated the grounds and seeped into the castle.

A sudden flu outbreak occurred among faculty and students, leaving school doctor Ms. Pomfrey scrambling to cope.

Her energizer had an immediate effect, but those who drank it would experience burning sensations in their ears for several hours.

Ginny Weasley had been feeling unwell lately and Percy had forced her to drink some energy drinks. As a result, steam was billowing from her bright red hair, and her head looked like it was on fire.

Raindrops the size of bullets pelted the castle windows, a pounding sound that hadn't stopped for days. The lake rose, mudslides filled the flowerbeds, and Hagrid's pumpkins swelled to the size of greenhouses.

And it was while Ginny was somewhat dazed that Sheen's affinity with the basilisk reached the "closeness" level.

Now, all he lacks are some ceremonial preparations.

But books about dark magic creations are all sealed off, and in theory, ordinary junior wizards would have little access to them—most of them are in the forbidden book section.

Unfortunately, Sheen happened to have a lot of approval slips... a lot of approval slips.

“The signature is not important. Lockhart will sign anything that can remain still for a period of time.”

This is how Justin summarized it.

Just now, the light on the surface of the empty talisman flashed and disappeared.

Sheen was slightly surprised.

Tom, Ginny, Harry...

It looks like they'll bump into each other in the secret room soon.

As for the missing basilisk, Sheen will knock it unconscious and move it to the Forbidden Forest.

In other words, Harry will be facing an unarmed Tom...

Thinking of this,

Sheen's lips curled up slightly.

Not far from him were Roger and Toya, who still harbored treacherous intentions.

"Will it succeed, Roger?"

Toya fully understood Roger's pain.

The Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Hufflepuff Quidditch teams considered them the most formidable of rivals, training relentlessly while remaining wary of their secret weapon.

They practiced a hundred tactics to limit the Seeker named Green, but Toya had no idea that Ravenclaw's secret weapon was so secret that even the Ravenclaw Quidditch team didn't know they had it.

"Will do."

Roger said.

He had found the key, the crucial element being the portrait—yes, a portrait of Sir Cadogan that would guide them to reclaim Ravenclaw's pride.

The rain was still pouring down outside the window, and the sky was slowly turning as black as ink.

Wisps of mist rose from the Ravenclaw Tower.

It looks like a night perfect for dreaming.
