Chapter 315: Death Anniversary Party
Chapter 315: Death Anniversary Party
The rain was pouring down outside the window, and the curtains were being blown backward by the wind.
Justin closed the window, and the cabin returned to quiet and warmth.
“Sorry, Harry, I probably won’t be able to make it either. Look at this Pumpkin King, I’m thinking of carving a lounge inside it.”
Justin looked apologetic.
"No, it's okay."
Harry was even more disappointed; he shouldn't have agreed so soon.
"I, I also..."
Neville stammered and refused.
Harry slumped into his chair, head bowed slightly, looking rather pitiful.
"This one……"
Ron was caught in a dilemma, and just as he was struggling with his decision, he saw Sheen sighing.
"You said yes, Harry?"
Sheen asked.
“Yes, I think I can tell you, Sir, that I may have something else to say…”
Harry said in a low voice.
"Once a word is spoken, it is hard to follow."
Hermione arrogantly reminded Harry,
“You said you would attend the anniversary celebration, so you can’t go back on your word.”
"I think...yes."
Harry spoke slowly, which made Hermione feel embarrassed and try to make amends:
"I mean……"
"You mean we're a team, right? Since you promised to go, Harry, we should act as a group. But next time, I think you could ask everyone's opinion beforehand."
Justin took a hammer and nails and started hammering and banging on the giant pumpkin until he made a window. Only then did he turn around and say...
"Is that what you think too, Sheen?"
Sheen nodded slightly.
Harry raised his head and found everyone looking at him with smiles.
For no apparent reason, he recalled what Justin had said with a smile:
“My mother said that friendship is always a sweet responsibility, never an opportunity.”
In the days that followed, time continued to erode memories, and friendship was like a pebble in a river; the water flowed over it, polishing it until it was smooth and clean.
Outside, the rain was pouring down, and Harry couldn't have imagined being able to stay with his friends.
"Shall we come back earlier? That way we might still make it to the banquet in the auditorium."
Justin put the pumpkin he had knocked off into his oven and saw Sheehan involuntarily look towards the oven.
The discussion ended amidst the sweet and soft aroma of pumpkins, and all six of them decided to go for a while but not to stay long.
Before we knew it, it was afternoon, and the sun was setting.
The Gryffindor Quidditch team returned from training, and Harry was covered in mud.
A broom appeared before Harry with lightning speed, sweeping as he went, and then vanished again after he finished changing his clothes.
"Cleaning broom?"
Harry thought it looked a lot like Sheen's invention.
It's practically a twin of the one in Hope House.
Suddenly, Harry sighed. Even though there was no wind or rain, this training session was still unpleasant.
Fred and George had been scouting the Slytherin team and had witnessed firsthand the speed of the Slytherin's newly purchased Nimbus 2001 flying brooms.
They returned to report that the Slytherin team members were now just seven blurry, pale green shadows, whizzing through the air like jets.
This became a source of worry for Harry – he didn't want to lose to Slytherin.
But fortunately, the next thing that dispelled his anxiety was that he was going to Hagrid's cabin the day after tomorrow, which is the day after Halloween.
Everyone will go, including Sheen, and he'll be going back to the castle with Hagrid.
This made Harry's steps lighter on his way back.
Harry hurried back to Hope's Cottage, straining his ears. Everyone seemed to be discussing the Death Day celebrations and ghosts. Sheehan, as always, gazed out the window. Harry figured he was probably pondering profound questions like how to transform a wizard into a dragon or how to turn a table into a giant.
Where is Sheen?
He was pondering what level his faith in magic had reached if the essence of magic was the wizard's belief.
As he watched Tira climb up the ancient books in the wooden bookcase, Xien's thoughts drifted.
Rita and the others are about to arrive at Hogwarts, and Hagrid is even willing to take a truth serum to answer some of the most pointed questions.
His statement will undoubtedly serve as strong evidence.
Thinking of this, Sheen paused.
Veritaserum?
It seems... it's not entirely impossible...
It can make wizards speak the truth, and if Sheen drinks a drop, perhaps he will know.
His vault contained some truth serum, which Professor Snape had put in to fill the empty vault, and now it seemed to be having a special use.
So, how should he retrieve it?
Sheen quickly came up with some plans.
……
The day before Halloween.
Rita headed to Hogwarts, accompanied by several enthusiastic reporters.
They were all invited by that Fairy Tale Workshop, which was nominally equivalent to Hogwarts and Vagabond, two magic schools.
Threatened by a foreign force—an unknown African school—journalists must rely on the art of language to uncover more sensational content.
And as long as the content is sensational enough, they can even ignore the Ministry of Magic, which is a makeshift organization—after all, they are not entirely British newspapers.
On that very day, Sheen was stopped in the corridor.
"Great Green! Can you imagine? A second, yes, a second Weasley & the Wizarding Tricks is about to open!"
Oh dear, I have to thank you for this!
Fred said exaggeratedly.
"Whatever happens to you the day after tomorrow, please throw it all in the trash!"
George's eyebrows were dancing.
"You know how we should get there."
Fred blinked.
"Then see you at 1 p.m. the day after tomorrow."
The twins scurried away happily, giving Sheen no time to react.
In fact, they had planned this a long time ago, but only now have they set the timing.
But it has to be said that Sheen just happened to be passing by and could go there.
"Good morning, Sheen."
At the entrance of Hope Hut.
Sheen was the first to arrive, and next to him was Justin, who was carrying a small box.
This is a box that has been enchanted with a temperature-regulating spell, making it easy to preserve food.
"Good morning."
Through the white glass, Sheen could already see the sizzling, tender beef.
"Hmm, do you remember the Grimm's Bookstore incident?"
Justin said this as he entered the Hope Hut.
"Opening soon?"
Sheen was slightly surprised.
Grimm's Notebooks is even more popular than the quirky Wizard's Chess.
Therefore, Justin could not handle such a heavy task alone, so he asked some wizards for help, and later simply found a place to print and ship the goods.
Later, they naturally came up with the idea of taking over a shop.
"Wizards in their third year and above can go to Hogsmeade; it's a great place. I finally managed to secure a shop there. The opening is the day after tomorrow."
Justin said gently.
