Chapter 330: The Curse
Chapter 330: The Curse
These words caused a huge uproar.
A second-year wizard shouldn't be grouped with a sixth-year wizard at all.
"Did Mr. Green offend Snape?"
The little badgers were worried.
"This is unfair! This is a blatant abuse of power!"
Roger Davis roared indignantly, turning to Penelope, the prefect, who was also frowning.
Or rather, all the Ravenclaw students looked unwell.
"He's really in trouble now..."
Theodore of Slytherin chuckled.
Flint is the captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team, a position he earned not only through his skills on the pitch.
In the later areas, the members of Hope Hut looked strange.
"Sheen vs. Flint?"
Ron's face turned bright red.
"I just hope that Sheen doesn't accidentally..."
Sheen single-handedly killed the basilisk with his sword, and to this day they have never seen the basilisk's remains.
What is Snape going to do?
Hermione thought about it more deeply, but even she couldn't understand Snape's intentions; he was just trying to make things difficult for Sheehan.
Impossible. Snape knew that Sheen had defeated the trolls on his own.
She looked to her side and saw that Sheehan had already walked onto the stage amidst all sorts of gazes. His expression was calm, and so far, none of the Hogwarts students had seen him panic or become nervous.
This is why the name Green is so widely known at Hogwarts.
Everyone knows that he is an inviolable, unshakable, and untemptible wizard. Even Headmaster Dumbledore would acknowledge that such a wizard would achieve extraordinary things.
The students, however, felt that he possessed something captivating.
Then a group of Ravenclaws spoke up:
"Professor Snape, I think I should do it! A good duel requires an evenly matched opponent!"
Roger Davis raised his hand, surrounded by a circle of Quidditch teammates, and Penelope nodded in satisfaction.
On stage, Professor Snape glanced at him coldly upon hearing the sound, his dark eyes devoid of emotion:
"roll--"
The Ravenclaws were immediately terrified.
Roger helplessly lowered his hand. He understood that not only was he being targeted by Snape, but their secret weapon was also doomed.
Flint strode over with an arrogant air, a sinister smile on his face.
"Let me explain the process to you. First, face your partner!"
Lockhart stood on the stage and shouted,
"Next step, bow! Raise your wands, get ready!"
Lockhart exclaimed that he always loved to perform on stage.
"I'll cast the spell when I count to three, and stop short of causing an accident—we don't want anything to go wrong. One—two—three—"
"Expelliarmus! (Expelliarmus!)"
Flint reacted quickly, his wand tracing a large arc.
Sheehan probably understood Professor Snape's intentions, but even the upperclassmen at Hogwarts found it difficult to fight him.
Even someone as physically strong and capable in combat as Flint...
Sheen raised his wand, and without chanting a spell, the spell stopped and the obstacles were silently and instantly unleashed.
At the same time, stone arms sprouted from the stage, grabbed Flint, and knocked his wand away before Flint could react.
Professor Flitwick's spell combination technique allows him to cast two spells simultaneously, one defensive and one offensive, while a simple polymorph spell can quickly resolve the battle.
"what happened?"
"Flint lost?"
The young wizards in the audience were still in a daze. They only saw the two men raise their wands, and Flint was knocked away without any resistance.
"Making the stone wall move is an advanced form of transformation."
Ron stared longingly at the stage, his stone arm already retracted. "Didn't you see? The Silent Charm deserves more attention; those were two Silent Charms cast simultaneously!"
Hermione's observation skills are always sharp.
"But how did Sheen manage that?"
"The spell combination technique, Hermione, is recorded in Sheen's Charms class notes, you just haven't seen that page yet."
Justin explained gently.
Unlike other wizards, Sheen liked to record his understanding of magic, and he didn't care at all whether it would be discovered. His progress was much faster than he could record it.
On the contrary, recorded knowledge always makes it easier for him to think about and modify it.
Snape first gave Sheehan a strange look, then glanced at Flint with a sinister look, and rebuked him:
"Get off—"
"Ah, it seems the winner is our Mr. Green! Surprising, but I must say, he must have mastered my Defense Against the Dark Arts course."
If he can learn from me, he will make even greater progress; there's no doubt about that.
Lockhart is like a peacock spreading its tail feathers.
"I dare say that he could say that no matter who wins."
Ron curled his lips.
Hermione nudged him, and he suddenly realized that the scene was completely silent.
Professor Snape stared at Lockhart as if he were dead, and the young wizards in the audience could feel the oppressive atmosphere.
It took a while before the wizards burst into enthusiastic applause when Sheen stepped down from the stage.
"That's fantastic, Sheen!"
Ron shouted.
"I was worrying for nothing."
Captain Roger let out a hearty laugh at Sheen.
Theodore of Slytherin hid himself in the crowd, not daring to raise his head.
Sheen stepped off the stage and nodded to Roger and Ron, who was waving.
However, when his gaze turned to the distance, he was slightly taken aback; there, two professors were standing, seemingly out of nowhere.
“What excellent transformations, Minerva.”
Professor Flitwick praised in a high-pitched voice.
“Using two spells at the same time, Philius, that's what you taught him.”
Professor McGonagall's mood, which had been rather low, improved somewhat.
As longtime friends, their conversations always bring each other joy.
The two professors here get along well, but on stage, Snape and Lockhart are completely different.
“Demonstrate the correct dueling stance, Professor Lockhart.”
"Snape said coldly."
"certainly……"
Lockhart said.
Sheen looked at Professor Snape, whose face looked terrifying, and inexplicably thought of the curse of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class.
"Lockhart, are you sure you won't get killed by Snape?"
Ron said, his voice trembling.
"No way……"
Justin pondered, thinking about Professor Snape's outburst of anger today, and suddenly felt as if...
"Impossible. Do you think Professor Snape would act without restraint?"
Hermione countered, after thinking for a moment,
"At most, you'll need to go to the hospital."
At this moment, on the stage.
Snape curled his upper lip.
The people in Hope Cottage were somewhat puzzled as to why Lockhart still dared to smile; Harry thought that if Snape had looked at him like that, he would have already turned and run in the opposite direction as fast as he could.
