Chapter 360, Section 358: The Resting Ceremony
"Hmm, you just inscribed five hundred and twenty sets of seamless extension magic runes."
Newt's gaze fell on Sheen's back; the interior of the Wizarding Book was large enough to fit a classroom.
“Group 521, Mr. Scamander.”
Sheen stared at the parchment in his hand, which was covered with a dense array of magical runes.
He always had a habit of recording his alchemical processes and compiling them into books.
“That’s interesting. The Split Spell is… a difficult spell. We can learn it slowly.”
Newt smiled warmly.
For the rest of the time, Sheen studied the Split Spell with Mr. Scamander.
Of course, their learning location has now moved to the Iphamoni Forest.
When the cold wind howls, their footsteps echo on the snow-covered meadows of the Iphamoni Forest.
They would always stop in different places, practice the Splitting Charm for a while in one place, and then, when Mr. Scamander realized that the space was unstable, he would set off to find another secluded and hidden place.
They walked through forests, dark cliff crevices, purple marshes, hillsides covered with broom, and once came to a secluded pebble cove.
Ilvermorny Forest was even larger than the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts, and Sheehan studied with Mr. Scamander until late at night.
During this time, Pukki brought them a sumptuous meal. While resting, Sheehan and Newt hid behind a tree and watched a pair of Ilvermorny students writing with twigs in the snow.
"I'm finished writing!"
"A witch said loudly."
The male wizard went over to look, both excited and timid.
They wrote letters on the snow, letters unique to winter, expressing everything they couldn't say to each other.
The only thing to be careful about is that the two of them can't arrive too late, otherwise the letter will melt away.
The snow had turned Sheen's eyebrows white. He wrapped Professor McGonagall's scarf tighter around himself and then noticed that Mr. Scamander was also wearing a rather bulky scarf.
“My wife, dear Goldstein, knitted for me for a week.”
Mr. Scamander said with a smile.
Sheen nodded, his thoughts drifting across the entire Iphamoni Forest, across the frigid Atlantic, and to the warm fireplace in the Transfiguration office.
He thought of the ball of yarn and long needles in the corner of the office. Would they be turning over in Professor McGonagall's hands?
In winter, the snow crunched underfoot, and the two wandering wizards were both wrapped in noticeably large scarves.
After resting.
After spending half the night, Sheen finally learned the Split Spell.
He was overjoyed when he carved out a small section of space.
Snowflakes shook off his hair, and he quickly raised his wand so that Mr. Scamander could see it clearly.
“Very good, a very… fast learning speed.”
Newt praised in a soft voice.
Sheen turned around and stared intently at the panel.

For Sheen, the most difficult thing was the first success, and now, the only difficulty is time.
……
The Stone House of Iphamoni's Origin.
Sheen entered the warm and cozy house under the cover of night and snow.
On the table were some porridge, sliced beef, and various kinds of fruit.
Sweet potatoes and pumpkins were roasting by the fireplace, wafting out an irresistible aroma that Sheen couldn't resist.
“What would you like to eat? No one has been here in a long time. I’ve forgotten how good William’s cooking is… Time is a thief. It has allowed me to witness Ilvermony transform from a small hut into a granite castle.”
Now, it has blurred everything. What do I have left? That's why I'm still here.
Ms. Aesop stopped abruptly as she watched Sheehan dip his beans, and the young wizard began to think seriously.
"Ghosts are products of obsession, but... even if ghosts resolve their obsessions, how can they return to the border region?"
Sheen frowned as he gripped the handle of the pumpkin-shaped, steaming cup.
"Young, learned wizard, do you know about the borderlands?"
Ms. Aesop immediately became interested.
“I know a little, Principal Sell.”
Sheen said.
"The world behind the veil is so interesting. I can't wait to meet up with James, Chawick, and Webber."
Ms. Aesop gave a long, deep smile.
“The school we founded has become famous, and magical families all over North America are vying to send their children to study here.”
Freedom, fairness, and equality have been engraved in the hearts of every Iphamoni wizard;
And the North American magical knowledge we built and disseminated together, the feat of combining native and European magic, has also formed something newer, more powerful, and more beautiful.
Sheen paused, his hand still holding the pumpkin juice, and turned to look at Ms. Aesop with his green eyes.
"Magic is magnificent and wondrous. When a wizard has enough knowledge and firm enough faith, magic will flow like a spring."
An arrow's range will not exceed the bow's tension, and a wizard's magical power will not exceed their conviction.
Lady Aesop floated up to Sheehan and pointed to the runic symbols above the fireplace.
"Since the veil exists, there must be a magic to lift it. This is the magical ritual that allows ghosts to travel to the borderland."
If you'd be willing to help, that would be wonderful... I watched Herrera grow up, and I watched William grow old...
"It would be so heartbreaking to have them send me away."
Sheehan couldn’t quite picture it. He looked silently at the runes engraved above the fireplace—the words “Rite of Rest” were gleaming.
Then, Sheen nodded:
“I’d be happy to help.”
It's a strange thing to send away a ghost.
……
In the early morning, Sheen woke up, sipped his pumpkin juice, and began practicing his spells.

Sheen didn't leave the hut until he felt exhausted.
The splitting spell is still too difficult, let alone transferring space.
He estimated that at least a "proficient" level of spell mastery would be required to accomplish this.
As you walk along the snowy path, the faintly visible Iphamoni is not far away.
Similarly, the Ephamoni Forest, and Newt, the senior student in the forest, are not far away.
As the snow fell heavily, Sheen entered the forest.
There were various sounds in the forest: the sound of branches breaking in the distance, the soft rustling of snow, and the sounds of animals running and scurrying about, all mixed together with other noises.
As he walked, Sheen suddenly caught a glimpse of a yellow shadow, which was flashing past at high speed.
This discovery excited him—it was a cat-leopard, the mascot of the Iphamoni Wilds.
After finishing my last exam today, Lu is finally free from this ordeal. I'll be taking two breaks from updating today; I'll resume my regular four-update schedule tomorrow.
