Chapter 386, Section 384: The Second Real Combat
The space in the Wizard's Book is expanding day by day because Sheen is constantly grinding his proficiency in the Wizard's Book.
Now that he has reached the "beginner" level in the Wizarding Book, at this rate, Sheen will be able to create two master-level high-level alchemical artifacts by the time he is in his second year.
If he completes the last category, he will be able to become an alchemy master in his second year.
This also means that he will have more trump cards and be better able to deal with unexpected events and dangers in the magical world.
Besides that, he had been pondering how to start a practice session with Grandpa Marcus.
So the time came to the morning of the third day.
Marcus sat leisurely on his usual sofa, reading the newspaper, wisps of steam rising from his black tea.
"Grandpa Marcus..."
As Sheen spoke, Marcus quickly put away his newspaper and smiled at the young wizard.
After hearing the other party's request, he hesitated slightly, not forgetting his previous humiliating experience.
"It looks like you've made great progress again. Oh, that's really encouraging."
Marcus tentatively said.
"We only made a small gain."
Sheen answered truthfully.
"Alright! Then, unleash your strongest magic—you'll find that your grandfather Marcus is hailed by the Auror tribe as the most impregnable wall!"
Marcus was full of confidence at the time.
Of course, his beloved little Grimm is a rare genius in the history of wizarding, but even a genius can't be so unreasonable, can he?
A twelve-year-old wizard defeating an old Auror who had fought for ten years—such a thing doesn't exist in the wizarding world.
Sheen was also slightly excited. As he walked towards the field, he opened the panel:
[Name: Sheehan Green]
[Transfiguration Talent: Purple (Master Transfiguration title already granted). Note: Regular wizards have Green.]
Transfiguration Classification:
Magical Transformation: Beginner (70/900)
Matter Deformation: Expert Level (50/3000)
Soul Transformation: Expert Level (200/3000)
[Evaluation: A wizard who has reached the Master level in the field of Transfiguration, showing initial combat prowess among Masters, possessing a foundation of Transfiguration magic that is unimaginable to wizards below the Master level.]
A master-level Transfiguration technique, and considering that my physical constitution isn't particularly outstanding...
Overall assessment suggests they should be able to barely contend with elite Aurors.
Sheen looked down again:
[Dark Magic Talent: Gold (Blessed with the title of Dark Magic Saint). Note: Regular wizards are green.]
[Barrier Charm: Master Level (700/?)]
[Petrification Spell: Master Level (100/?)]
【Divine Sharpness Shadowless Spell: Master Level (300/?)】
【Crushing Spell: Expert Level (2000/9000)】
……
[Advanced: Seven Master-level Dark Arts spells, which can unlock the Master-level title in the Dark Arts field]
[Evaluation: You are a rare genius in the history of dark magic. Dark magic will embrace you. You are the born king of dark magic.]
Dark magic was always the method that Sheen spent the least time on but gained the most from.
Even though he had no emotional support, his understanding of knowledge such as black magic was so good that he could learn it in no time and master it with practice.
Not to mention that recently, he has often had to be confined to the cellar.
His progress in dark magic was as rapid as Professor Snape's changing expressions.
He already has three master-level dark magic spells. If this continues, he may very well become a master of dark magic by the time he is in his third year.
I managed to keep up with the plan, albeit barely.
I just don't know if he can defeat an elite Auror like Marcus.
As they were thinking this, they arrived at an open space.
"Give it your all!"
Marcus raised his wand, looking very excited.
"I'm starting."
Sheen said.
“Come on—let me see how much you’ve improved—” Marcus shouted.
"There are many obstacles."
"They all turned to stone."
Sheen pointed his wand horizontally, and a flash of grayish-white light appeared.
The elder wand seemed to have not been able to unleash its power like this in a long time; at this moment, the entire wand was emitting a slight tremor that did not affect the casting of the spell.
"The curse stops immediately!"
"Armor protection!"
Marcus remained calm and unhurried.
But he had clearly forgotten one thing.
During the last duel, the young wizard was practicing Animagus transformation using a silent spell, but now, his opponent is reciting the incantation directly.
As is well known, this is more powerful than a silent spell.
"Something's wrong..."
Marcus instantly Apparated to another location.
Where he had just stood, the malt on the ground first slowed down, and then froze completely, as if petrified.
"Not bad—but this isn't enough, child!"
Marcus said.
“I understand, Grandpa Marcus.”
Sheen nodded.
Then, as if he had made a decision, when he opened his eyes with a hint of excitement, his gaze was sharper than the last.
"The fire dragon flaps its wings—"
Sheen pointed his wand diagonally upwards and gave a commanding speech.
Under Marcus's incredulous gaze, he witnessed an extremely horrifying scene:
A five-meter-tall, red fire dragon made of flames, with a ring of strange, thin, sharp horns around its face, was spewing mushroom-shaped clouds of fire into the air.
But it wasn't over yet. Sheen silently chanted, thrusting his wand downwards:
"Stone blocks deployed—"
Marcus couldn't feel his legs anymore, and he guessed they were probably trembling.
He was completely unable to move and could only watch as the five-meter-tall stone statue rose from the ground and rushed towards him, each step of it causing the earth to tremble.
Opposite him, Sheen's face turned pale.
These two magical transformations had already pushed him to his limits.
But he still had some energy freed up.
As for these two spells—long before, after he obtained Professor Dumbledore's notes, and after he became a master of Transfiguration.
He once thought he had reached a profound but slow level in transfiguration.
But after he comprehended ritual magic, he suddenly realized why Transfiguration wasn't considered a ritual.
The fact that wizards couldn't find the right incantation and spellcasting gestures doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Thus, the "fire dragon flapping its wings" became his first test subject.
This, like the deployment of the stone pillar, greatly reduced the mental energy he expended.
"Grandpa Marcus, I'm going to give it my all!"
Sheen suddenly said.
"What--?!"
Marcus was about to Apparate when he was interrupted by these strange words. He stared wide-eyed at the little wizard.
At the same time, he realized that he wasn't unable to feel his legs, but rather that they were entangled by vines that had appeared out of nowhere. Even more terrifying, some deformed stones were also gripping his legs tightly.
Despite his exhaustion, Sheen's gaze was even sharper.
"Grandpa Marcus, watch out—"
His robes fluttered in the cold wind, and the tip of his wand emitted a bright light.
