Chapter 490, 488: The Intense Light Spell
Chapter 490, 488: The Intense Light Spell
"That's right,"
Stan, still rubbing his chest, said,
“That’s right, that’s right. They say he’s very close to the Man of Darkness… Anyway, Harry Potter killed the Man of Darkness back then.”
Harry nervously smeared his bangs down.
He subconsciously searched for anything that could put his mind at ease, and coincidentally, the most reassuring wizard sat in front of him.
Sheen silently raised his head and glanced at Harry, who was facing him, and Mr. Stan, who had his back to him.
Mr. Stan was unaware that he continued, "..."
"All of Mystic's supporters have been arrested, haven't they, Ern? After Mystic escaped, most of them knew the tide had turned and stopped causing trouble."
Sirius Black was the only exception. I heard he believed that once Mystic made a comeback, he could take the second-in-command position.
Anyway, they blocked Black on a street full of Muggles, and Black pulled out his wand and blew up half the street, hitting a wizard and a dozen or so Muggles who happened to be there.
That's terrifying, isn't it? Do you know what Blake did next?
Stan continued speaking in a low, exaggerated tone.
"what?"
Harry asked.
"Laugh out loud,"
Stan said,
He stood there laughing out loud. Later, when reinforcements from the Ministry of Magic arrived, he obediently followed them, still laughing hysterically.
He must be insane. Isn't he, Ern? Isn't he insane?
“Even if he wasn’t insane when he went to Azkaban, he certainly is by now.”
Ern said in a low voice,
“I’d rather blow myself up than set foot in that place. He deserves his punishment… for doing something like that…”
"They finally managed to smooth things over, didn't they, Ern?"
Stan said,
"The streets were blown up, and so many Muggles lost their lives."
How did they explain it, Ern?
"Gas explosion."
Ern muttered.
"Now he's run away again."
As Stan spoke, he carefully examined Blake's thin face in the newspaper photograph.
"There has never been an escape from Azkaban before, has there? I really don't understand how he managed to do it."
"That's pretty scary, isn't it? Honestly, it's hard to imagine he could handle those guards in Azkaban. Isn't that right, Ern?"
Mr. Stan had a strange habit that Sheehan and Harry easily learned—he would always call out "Ern" when he spoke, as if his words were not credible without Ern's voice.
Of course, what he said was indeed outrageous, which not only frightened Harry, but also sent a chill down Ernst's spine.
“Let’s talk about something else, Stan. There are two decent young men here.”
"I get an upset stomach just hearing about those Azkaban guards."
Stan reluctantly put the newspaper aside.
Harry leaned against the window of the Knight Bus, feeling worse than ever before.
He knew nothing about the wizard prison, but everyone he heard talking about it spoke of it with the same fear.
The Knight Bus wobbled and rattled through the darkness, scattering bushes, trash cans, phone booths, and trees.
Harry lay on the feather mattress, feeling troubled and filled with worries.
"Sheen, won't the Ministry of Magic arrest Black?"
He stepped over a bed and asked the young wizard who was still reading a book.
"They will do their best."
Sheen thought for a moment and then said.
"What if they can't bring them back? What will Blake do then?"
Harry couldn't help but ask.
Sheehan didn't speak; he just silently looked at Harry, and Harry immediately understood something from those bright eyes.
"Miss Witch, may I switch beds with you?"
Harry ran toward a witch with pockmarked faces; it was her bed that blocked Harry and Sheehan's view.
Harry's pounding heart only calmed down a little when the witch reluctantly moved to a different spot. Now that he was closer, Harry could see what Sheen was writing with her quill.
On the neat pages of the book is a portrait of a wizard holding a wand, the tip of which emits a bright light.
It's as bright as the headlights of the bus that the knight just drove by.
Below the illustration are the gestures and pronunciation breakdowns commonly used in Green Notes.
Strangely, Harry had never seen such a pronunciation or gesture before.
"What kind of spell is this... it looks like a glow spell..."
Harry didn't dare disturb Sheehan, so he could only stare at the completely changed spell symbol and guess at it quietly.
"It's a powerful light spell."
Sheen paused, pen in hand, and explained.
"Oh, sorry to bother you, Sheen... but what is the Intense Light Spell?"
Harry shuddered at the words and asked.
"The first spell to be reshaped—altering the original order of the Fluorescent Charm within the wizard's heart, transforming it from a desire for light to a means of creating blinding effects—as the wizard's inner purpose changed, the order naturally changed along with the change in the wizard's will..."
Thus, order collapses and is rebuilt... Therefore, even using the same gesture and pronunciation will not necessarily produce a fluorescent glow.
...The only problem is that the collapsed order will affect the wizard's spellcasting. Wizards who have learned the Bright Light Charm can no longer reliably cast the Fluorescent Charm, so I have to redesign the magic ritual...
This is the powerful spell that has reshaped order, yet whose wisdom is still incomplete.
Sheehan was perfecting his notes as he explained, as if reciting a long string of spells—things Harry couldn't understand at all, as simple as eating and drinking.
"What is...reconstruction? What is order, what is the purpose? What needs to be collapsed and rebuilt?"
Harry was completely bewildered, as if he were listening to gibberish.
Why is it that every word Sheen says is in English, and he can't understand it when they're put together?
"I have created a new spell."
Sheen summarizes.
“Oh, Sheen, you could have said that sooner.”
Harry suddenly realized.
"Oh no, Sheen, what did you say?"
Harry suddenly snapped out of his daze.
"I……"
"You've created a new curse!"
Harry exclaimed.
"Hey! Sir!"
The witch with pockmarked face glared angrily at Harry.
"Feel sorry!"
Harry hasn't adjusted yet.
"Sheen, you've created a new curse? Just now? Just before? On this car?!"
"Ah."
Sheen has always been meticulous when it comes to magic.
The powerful light spell confirmed Sheen's conjecture.
Although it originates from the pronunciation and gestures of the Flurry spell, it has completely broken away from the basic spell that wizards have passed down for thousands of years in history—the Flurry spell.
It is not an improvement on the Flurry Charm, such as the relationship between red and green sparks.
Instead, it is a completely new kind of magic spell, from zero to one.
It can be awkwardly used by wizards with the casting technique of the Fluorescent Charm, but this is by no means the casting technique that suits it.
This proves exactly one thing.
The wizard seeks within, establishing an unshakeable "order" within; from this point on, reality must abide by the wizard's "order".
【Wisdom】is merely the wizard's attempt to extract the essence and form of magic.
